Laura is super friendly and helpful. This place is nice like golf club. The place is well maintained.

This facility is still being nicely maintained, and is an excellent stop for obtaining Arkansas tourism information, utilizing their immaculate restrooms, walking your dog (on leash), or just taking a break from driving.

One of my goals in life is to travel to all 50 United States. I flew into Memphis, Tennessee and was able to drive (30mins) to another state. This Arkansas welcome area is like a rest stop area. Since the welcome to Arkansas sign is on a bridge and there's no way you can stop to take a photo in front of it, I'm glad I was able to find this a sign at this rest stop area.

Rocking chairs to pass time in airconditioned building.

Probably the cleanest and best maintained welcome center we've ever encountered and we roadtrip a lot. The bathrooms had a clean wood smell to them (not urine and not Pine-sol chemicals), the front desk people were friendly and smiling, there was a kid area with toys, a checkers game with two rocking chairs, free coffee and cookies, and more maps than you could possibly need, all organized into what looked like a map-library. The outside area was very clean, well maintained, with multiple picnic benches that had roofs shielding form rain/sun, plenty of garbage receptacles and therefore hardly any litter. If every place took such good care of their establishment this would be a much cleaner and inviting world.

This is definitely the best experience I have ever had at a state welcome center. The building is immaculate, filled with useful information and diversions for the kids, and staffed with very, very friendly and knowledgeable folks. They are ambassadors for Arkansas and they take it to heart! I know so much now about Arkansas and what I can do within a 60 minute drive from West Memphis. I've got to say Thank You!

I started with the mimoosa flight. The flavors weren't labeled, but I believe the strawberry and…read moreapple were my favorite. I ordered a medium rare ribeye, which was slightly overcooked but still a very good cut of meat. I did not care for the coleslaw or the gouda macaroni and cheese. The meal was served with toast. The chocolate pecan pie with ice cream was good. I arrived at 6:30 and was given a glass of water that a drank immediately because i was thirsty. Any establishment that must function understaffed should be like Nashville clubs and set out a jug of water so people can refill their cups on their own. They took my drink order at 7. There were no empty seats at the bar so I sat alone at a table. The experience was OK but they need at least one more server. The only reason they get by with charging over fifty dollars for the steak is because there's literally no other place within 40 miles you can get a good steak. The sides are below average. The servers are friendly but obviously overworked. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of parking.

I dropped by here for a weekday lunch, and was glad that the Wilson Cafe has resumed their mid-day…read moreservice schedule. The restaurant portion of the building was almost empty, and I was seated almost immediately, but I was placed at a table in a high traffic area next to the kitchen. After a while, I flagged down an employee since it was unclear to me who my server was. I put in an appetizer order of their heavenly eggs. They included a wonderfully tart sauce, and the serving size was three eggs. The mushroom gnocchi that I had was delicious, and enough to feed two people. The potato dumplings were expertly made, and some of the best that I've ever eaten. Other than the service being a bit hit and miss, I would return if only for the excellent food.
