I just stumbled across this place, it's a local favorite, off the beaten path from the interstate but you can tell lots of history here. The waitress was a piece of work, very homey and its the kind of place that when ordering and trying to decide on what to order, adjacent table will chime in and offer their advice. I got the ribs-wet really succulent and as good as anything I've had in Memphis, very tasty and not needing much of any BBQ sauce. the sides also very good. Only downside to the place is no alcohol of any kind sold here. read more

Best pull pork I have had in a long time Fries home cut excellent Okra fried pickles a must read more

Stopped here while traveling from Mississippi on my way to Chicago and it truly turned out to be an excellent choice. This place evidently has been doing there thing here for a minute or two and it's easy to see why they have made it such a long time. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came topped slaw. The pulled pork was very good... well smoked but not not overly smokey. Unlike most pulled pork I've had it was very lean and not at all greasy/fatty. The slaw on the sandwich was vinegar based and tasted to me exactly like dill pickles. I usually don't like this type of slaw but it truly paired well with the smoked pork, cutting through the smoke and helping to bring out its flavor. Sauce was optional with a choice between a vinegar/red pepper based sauce and a thicker/sweeter version with a similar taste profile. Both were tasty but truly not needed as the pork in the sandwich stood just fine by itself. The fresh cut french fries were fried exactly like my mother fried them... crispy on the ends and soft and fluffy in the interior... a delicious fry indeed. Good things stand the test of time and this place is a perfect example of that concept. Keep on doing what y'all are doing... it's working just fine!!! read more

We visited Dixie Pig while heading to Mississippi for the winter, and it was never a disappointment! The food offered there has great options to choose from - fish, barbecue, even the best pig fries! The fries and pulled pork are both in perfect portions and drizzled with house bbq sauce. It's delicious for both the fish and the fries dish! As always, the service is excellent with the staff as welcoming and friendly for a casual restaurant in NE Arkansas. Most of the customers were acquainted with everybody, giving the best ambiance and family atmosphere to the restaurant! Give this bbq place a try if you're visiting Blytheville! read more

Great food great service great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely eat here again

Love it...love it. Bbq sandwich is great especially with their vinegar based sauce (pricey at $8.75 / bottle). Baked beans were even better but portion size was disappointingly small. Sweet tea...perfecto! Excellent and quick service. read more

I'm a fan of the Dixie Pig For nearly ten years I've enjoyed the pulled pork sandwiches topped with crispy cole slaw and the piping hot battered crispy chicken sandwich. I'll always make the effort to stop here for lunch in Blytheville, AR off IH-55N. I also leave with a bottle of the secret sauce on every visit. I'm so hooked read more

One of the best barbecue sandwiches in Arkansas. Onion rings, and fries are great too.

I love Dixie Pig, I have been coming here since a kid when visiting family in the area. I usually indulge in the pork platter, a generous portion of chopped pork ( you can hear them in the kitchen chopping your order) doused in their homemade sauce made with vinegar and secret spices! Served with a side salad, French fries and a dinner roll. The employees here are super friendly and service is quick. A staple in the Blytheville area! read more

Very good bbq very reasonable on price has a long history in the business the sides are all tasty and good be sure to give them a visit you'll be happy you did tell them Tony from Manila sent you lol read more

Thank you Yelp for another gem! I rated it four stars because it should be at least a 3 star restaurant. I ordered the large bbq sandwich with fries. Cost- $6.75. As I was eating my sandwich with the STRONG vinegar "Original" sauce, I heard rumors of a "Rib Sauce" which is more thick. I would recommend trying the original sandwich with the RIB SAUCE. This holds par with most chopped beef sandwiches in Texas, and reminds me of the BBQ served in Baltimore. The sandwich was cooked perfectly and is served without sauce. The sauce is on the table and settles quickly. Put your thumb on the cap and give it a turn or two, it mixes the vinegar and water, and you are set. Also this place is rumored to be inspiration for the Dixie Pig referenced in Stephen King's The Dark Tower. I also had to keep myself from talking Aggie baseball with the table beside me complaining about Arkansas' team this year. Whoop! Gig Em! etc etc read more

If you're in looking for good BBQ, I would pass this place up. We were driving home from the south and wanted BBQ. I had the pulled pork sandwich, but didn't realize this didn't come with a side - so I ordered french fries and baked beans, thinking the fries came with it. I remember one of the sides being fairly expensive. He had the chopped pork plate. The pork was good, not fatty. But the sides SUCKED!! All of them. And worst of all, there was ONE sauce and it was hot and vinegar - it was not good at all. I read another review about the service sucking and I would agree with that. We were given one cup of sweet tea each and never received refills until we were leaving. This was not worth leaving the highway for. read more

I love everything here, but my favorites are the pig salad and their onion rings!!! If you get nachos, ask for the special sauce to go on them! read more

Delta BBQ all made in house with a lot of history behind it. Good portions and prices with basic ole fashioned cooking. Loved the pecan pie. The staff was friendly and generous with us. The teens loved the crispy outside and soft inside buns. We enjoyed the pig sandwhich, BBQ plate and ham plate. All was delicious although I found the BBQ plate a little dry. But add their homemade Dixie pig sauce and problem solved. Add the BBQ or ham onto their buns and it's fabulous. Lots of quirky decor. Would go again next time we are in the area. Great people and lots of stories. read more

After 18 years away from home (Southeast Missouri) and having great BBQ in Texas and other places, there was still something missing. This was like going back in time and having the first bite of the best barbecue sandwich all over again. Not to mention they make their own sauce to put on it. Fresh fries, onion rings, and okra rounded off the meal and our family was all set. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu. Service was excellent and fast. Although we live more than an hour away I can see our family making a day trip just to go for the BBQ. read more

After driving past this place, I had to do a double take, having read Stephen King's Dark Tower series a few years ago. This restaurant is the original Dixie Pig, established in 1923, but not the one you get when you do a online search (that one with the downloadable menu is in Little Rock) and has nothing to do with the Dark Tower. They did not have a take out menu (online or otherwise) but they were happy to do take out orders. I ordered the large pig sandwich which is pulled pork and cabbage trimmed. They offered me samples of both their BBQ sauces - a vinegar based that was spicy and on the hot side and their rib sauce - more of a traditional tomato based sauce. I preferred the rib sauce after trying both of the sauces. They also have smoked ham sandwiches and you can order their meats by the pound. They serve ribs as a special only on the weekends. This restaurant is further into town and a little ways off the interstate. Overall, the sandwich was good, I've had better pulled pork but I also have had worse. read more

We were passing thru on the way home from visiting family. Stayed at a motel in Blytheville. Food options???? We knew we were taking a chance. Picked Dixie Pig and,,,, we were more than pleased with this family owned restaurant. Clean, made sure we were all safe with masks and hand sanitizer. Restaurant was very clean. Wait staff was very warm and friendly. The food was fantastic, I was super impressed. I love wings, and I have tried alot of restaurants and BBQ joints. These wings had a delightful, spicy rub, wings were tender, juicy and hot, dipped in a great spicy, sweet sauce. Some of the BEST wings I have ever had. And I have tried some great wing joints. Wow, is all I can say. My wife ordered Chicken tenders. They also had a tasty, flavorful batter, tenders were fresh, and perfectly cooked. Juicy and fresh. Owner and waitress took time to talk with us. Very warm and friendly. This place is a hidden GEM in Blytheville. Gotta stop here, period! read more

Service is terrible here. Very rude waitress. I gave it a second chance and tried to call in an order and not only was the lady rude when we picked it up the guy that took our payment was rude. The food is okay but I prefer yanks or the bbq trailer beside Hays. I won't go back because the service is terrible. read more

3 of us had the large BBQ plate and the chopped pork was somewhat dry and ice cold. From what I can guess it was cold from them chopping it up before it was sent out just from the incessant chopping sound coming from the kitchen the whole time we were eating. At least after chopping heat it up somehow. The salad that came with the plate was decent. It was mostly green and not a lot of the white part of iceberg lettuce like some restaurants like to serve. The two things that were really good were the onion rings and the vinegar BBQ sauce, the onion rings were crispy and flavorful and the sauce was spicy and pungent which made the pork palatable. My wife had the cheeseburger which the waitress said was homemade but it was way smaller than the bun and was hard as a hockey puck from the meat being over handled from what I can guess. Her fries were also good and crispy, not greasy. read more

Overpriced and overrated by many in the area. There is much better bbq to be had in town for a better price.

I don't eat pork, but if I could bottle the aroma from outside the door of the Dixie Pig and dab it behind my ears, why, I KNOW my husband would never stray. Oh, and the lemon ice box pie is worth cheating on your diet. The menu says that the coffee is good, and it certainly is. If you are making nutrition trade-offs (I.e., dieting), you won't feel deprived eating the grilled chicken with salad. The onion rings are also worth a cheat. read more

One of the best places in the Delta to get BBQ if you are close you should have Dixie Pig

I enjoyed the BBQ plate and I thought that the prices were very reasonable. Well worth the time and money.

Just OK. I had high expectations after some of the reviews and ordered the BBQ plate. If you are looking for "Smokey" flavored pork this is not the place. It just seemed kind of tasteless. The baked beans were along the same line, just not much flavor. The rolls were probably the best part of the meal. read more

Had the bbq plate - it came with a green salad, rice size pieces of bbq and a hand full of fries all served on the same plate, salad was warm, bbq was cold, sauce tasted like vinegar.
