Three sisters read the Yelp reviews and received wonderful hospitality and great food here. We recommend the steak salad and the bologna sandwich. Each was delicious. Miss Barbara is a most delightful hostess and owner. Looking for local color? This is the place. The entrance does not face the road so you will have to look for the building that looks like a body shop, but the spacious interior has a big bar and plenty of seating with several pool tables. Local Bar with Massive Rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is an experience, and one you should explore if you are in the Blytheville area. I have, over the years, wanted to go and check the place out, but a combination of not being able to find it and not having enough time has always kept me from a visit. During my last visit to Blytheville, a business colleague and I decided to check this infamous establishment out and have a business dinner, beers, and rib-eyes. Mcadoo's is located in central Blytheville, across from the fire station, and it is in a simple metal shack, which can make it hard to find. There are no signs on the building, just the name written on the entrance door. Inside, you find a fully functioning bar with pool tables and plenty of tables to sit at. Mcadoo's has an old-school vibe as the inside is lit up by old-school red lights. Like bars of old, you can smoke inside; keep this in mind if you are a non-smoker or have allergies to smoke. Mcadoo's has a fully stocked bar, but it's mostly known for its rib-eye steaks. Our server came to our table and informed us that they had no apps and that our only options were rib-eye with salad, baked potato, and toast, or rib-eye with toast, as nothing else was available on the menu. The rib-eyes took about twenty minutes to arrive, and they were massive and cooked to perfection. The salad and the baked potato were fresh and okay, but the focus was on the steak. The steaks were juicy and tender, and they were also very affordable. The allure of Mcadoo's is the experience, the full bar and the affordable rib-eyes. It is also a favourite place for locals to hang out. Overall, a good experience and a great rib-eye dinner. read more

Horrible place. The owner booked my band once. They promised to pay us a set amount, but when we arrived they informed us that we would only be able to get the money the door brought in. We agreed, and luckily the door brought in more money than we had been promised. Still, they shouldn't have gone back on their word. They wanted to book us a second time, and we talked to them first to ensure we would get guaranteed money. Then, when we arrived for the second booking, they met us AT the door to tell us we would only be getting the door again. After discussing it with my band, we told them no way would we go ahead and play because they lied to us. I have never gone back there since, nor will I ever. read more

So this is the best bar/ hole in the wall/ restaurant! We travel all over the US for work and we've been to some of the best steakhouses and hands down, this is the best ribeye you'll ever eat! The service here is amazing, the atmosphere is great (don't judge by the outside, come in!) it is a smoking allowed BAR, so if you're a non smoking person, don't come in here and bitch later. It isn't "Smokey" though at all. The beer is cold, the owner and bartenders are insanely friendly and this is the place to be in Blytheville. Only complaint, they don't open until 4pm!! read more

Just passing through Elizabethtown for the night...Entering into this establishment you get a face full of cigarette scent. Place was empty other than two other diners, so it's long-term scent. We arrived about an hour after opening...very dark inside, but seemed clean and well-kept. Server we spoke to said they have been open for 50 years, so, they are doing something right. Ladies' bathroom was dated, but clean. Our bartender, Stacy, we very attentive and pleasant. The Coors Light bottles were crisp and cold. We each ordered a cheeseburger and, other than the bun getting very soggy and falling apart, it was very tasty. The hand-cut chips were good as well. A bit harder to find and little sketchy around the place, but we were pleased. read more

In town for a goose hunt but arriving late and looking for something good for dinner. Called and was told they were about to stop cooking for the night. Clean bathrooms (fixtures could use an updating - the commodes have seen better days). Would have given a 5 Star review; but, we were turned off by the cigarette smoking and ash trays all around the place. Regardless, we would go back. If you can find the place and it's before dark, this is the place. Due to some unsavory characters that always seem to be hanging around in the parking lot, I don't go here past dark unless I'm with a group. As for the food, I can only speak for the steak. Excellent! Best steak in Blytheville! The service has always been friendly. Sometimes it's a little slow, but I'm pretty sure that can be blamed on the kitchen. We were out of town, and in Blytheville for racing. I don't even want to give away this secret, but Mrs. Barbara and McKenzie served the race team and I the best damn steaks and chops we've ever had. This place is in downtown Blytheville, so it is a way off the interstate. I believe it is also a "private club" as you can smoke in here. They have a limited menu that does include a ribeye steak, hand-cut homemade french fries and Texas toast. The decor is sports bar/pool hall with hard hats hanging over the bar. The SO had the hamburger steak and I had the steak salad. The salad was half a ribeye cut into strips over a simple lettuce, onion and tomato salad. But it was really good! Our waitress was good and made sure to check on us regularly to see if we needed anything. If you are looking for the upscale in Bly-ville, head to the Olympia. If you are looking for a good steak in a more relaxed atmosphere, venture off the interstate to downtown and McAdoo's. read more

The best steak and cheeseburger in Blytheville! For little Blytheville this is a 5 star establishment. This what most would consider the quintessential dive bar with cheap bottle beer, mixed drinks, and cocktails. Plenty of pool tables means you can hang and play but bring plenty of quarters or cash to get change at the bar. Same for the jukebox. If you smoke, that is allowed inside although I don't smoke it did not seem overwhelming the times I have visited. You can pay by card but there is a surcharge, so I bring cash and pay as I go instead of running a tab. Overall good experience. Be sure to lock your valuables up as the area surrounding the parking does not seem top notch. The police often order here as well as all the regular locals, so you know it is a good place to eat. The owner has been part of the community for years and from what I can see, does a good job taking care of customers. read more

In my opinion, this place has the best steak in town. Great flavor and big portions. Good beer on tap, I had the Blue Moon. If you plan to eat here, Don't come alone! There are a few shady people begging for money on the parking lot. The door into the restaurant/bar is in an alley, so take a friend with you or go in a group or just simply go during the day. Only bar/grill I could find. So strange to have smoking in a bar. Its been awhile since I have seen that. Nice and friendly local joint. Really really cold beer. Unfortunately ut took 45 minutes to get my steak. Undercooked but huge and still tasty. Watched the kitchen throwing lots of frozen food into the fryer so thats disappointing. Fries were lump soggy and unseasoned. Toast was beyond dry. There is not alot of choices in this town and not a bad steak. Next time in the south I'll stick to bbq. read more
