3.5 Stars The Asian 'Zensations Zalad' Perked My Interest! I was looking for something to eat on the lighter side as I had been out for business dinners a few nights in a row in Blytheville. I had never eaten at a Zaxby's and was curious to try their food. Zaxby's is a national chain with a focus on Chicken and Fried Chicken and they also have other items on the menu as well. The staff was great and helpful and answered my questions about the food and suggested I try the Grilled Chicken Zalad from the 'Asian Zensations' menu as I wanted to see what all the hype was about. The Asian Zensation Zalad is a mixed greens salad with grilled marinaded chicken and comes with an egg roll. The chicken is served with a honey sesame teriyaki glaze, made with soy sauce, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, honey, brown sugar and wonton strips. The egg roll is marketed as hand-rolled in a crispy wonton wrapper, filled with shredded cabbage, carrots, green onion and seasoning and served with Zaxby's signature Sweet & Spicy sauce. The 'Zalad' lacked greens but came with a very healthy portion size of chicken. The egg roll tasted like it was a frozen egg roll that was heated up. I would give this salad 3.5 stars overall for its price range and flavours. The Restaurant itself has plenty of seating and the walls are adorned with sports memorabilia from the local sports teams, which give the interior a homey feel. There weren't a whole lot of people in the restaurant but there were many cars lined up in the drive though. Zaxby's is one of the only Fast Food options in the Blytheville area with a focus on Chicken. read more

The wait time was ridiculous. I'm not really sure what the problem was as the inside was fairly empty but they couldn't move the drive through at a decent rate. Can't rate the food because I haven't received it. I'm sure it's decent..depending on the age group working, no effort really goes into making sure the food is served with quality. Maybe they're short staffed tonight..idk but not the best experience. read more

While traveling to Memphis, Tennessee ; we decided to stop to get some nourishments. We chose Zaxbys restaurant because I remembered that when I lived in Nashville their chicken was delicious ; pricey but delicious. We had a party of 5 and decided to get the 20 piece Zax pack with 2 large order of French fries and Texas toast. My brother ordered the chicken cob salad, a gallon of sweet tea and vegetable egg rolls. The food was delicious as I remembered it to be. The size of the restaurant is a good size and they of course have a drive thru. It was as long as the parking lot. Ordered on the app, but the food was not ready when we got there. Pulled into the spot we were directed and waited an additional 15 minutes. The purpose of call ahead is the have it ready when we get there. Then they brought drinks with no straws and a salad with no fork or dressing. I had to go inside twice. Another disgruntled customer who also had to get out of their vehicle was in front of me. This location needs to get it together! Also, it smelled like pot inside. read more

Drove through Blythville and decided to go through the drive through, we weren't able to order via the speakers as the speakers were frozen (snowy day), we ended up waiting more than 20 minutes in the drive through because the person in front of us had a complicated. order. Overall the food wasn't bad, but it was cold when we got it. Not worth the wait. read more

went up there earlier today and placed an order for loaded fries, went up to pay the car in front of me got handed the wrong food and i didn't think anything of it, Paid for my food the girl at the window was not in a good mood but I just shrugged it off got my food and she gave me a straw with it but again i didn't think anything of it. Left and went to get a drink and when i got home to finally eat I got a big zax snack meal instead of the loaded fries. I was rung up and paid for loaded fries but didn't get what i asked for. First time ever at Zaxby's! Had the chicken fingers and fries combo. The chicken fingers were moist and meaty with an understated breading. The chicken itself did most of the heavy lifting, not too much spice or taste in the batter, mostly just good chicken. The fries were classic crinkle cut fries - very nicely done : ) And the signature Zaxby's sauce reminded me of Raisin' Canes sauce (but not quite as good). Zaxby's is a winner. Would go back if we had one in the Chicago suburbs. read more

The people were very kind and considerate and they took their time with our orders. The manager Shame came to the table just to make sure everything was great and it was. The last review was made a full MONTH ago, was acknowledged by a manager, and the men's soap dispenser is STILL ripped off the wall. Following, the outside of the building is a mess and looks very run down. If these little details aren't cared for by the employees and company, I can't imagine how little care is put into the food. i don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to this time. Stopped here on our way south for vacation. I'm convinced this particular location mops their floor with left-over chicken grease because it's like an ice rink when you step foot inside. A lawsuit waiting to happen. The mens restroom had no soap dispenser...looked like someone literally ripped it off the wall. Good news is they left the package of soap sitting next to the sink but it's the kind that only works when inserted in the dispenser. But hey, it's the thought that counts right? I'll give it a star for good service, and a star for not giving me food poisoning, the rest was horrible. I got a 4 finger plate. The chicken was that super cheap rubbery chicken, and I questioned if it was bad, but ate it anyway and hoped for the best due to road trip hunger. I have had Zaxbys in the past and thought it was really good, but either this location is just bad or Zaxbys in general has majorly gone down hill. I ordered the large chicken tenders platter after seeing others pictures and it was WAAAY too much. I'm a big guy and I couldn't finish. The chicken was great, the fries were hot and the Zax sauce was tasty. My SO ordered the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was very tender and well cooked but it did not taste Cajun. Avoid. We were told to pull up to wait for chicken fingers and a chicken sandwich. We sat for 30 minutes before my husband went inside for a refund--where the staff then handed him our bag. Best take out salad around! I love their chicken tenders and their sauces. Zaxby's need to market their Zax Sauce! I'd buy a few bottles of it! Wouldn't you? Try it and see. Like hot stuff, Zaxby's has you covered, from plain chicken to insane chicken. I can't hang, I eat the regular sauce and even it's a bit too spicy for me. I know I've reached the South when we stop here at the first exit after crossing into Arkansas. We stopped here on the way to the in laws last Thursday and as usual, the food was great, made promptly and the service was top notch. It is always worth stopping by if you are passing through for some good southern chicken, fries and Texas toast. The location is always clean and while traffic on the main road can be a bit busy, it is worth the minor inconvenience of getting in and out of the location. For those who have never had Zaxby's, they are a chicken restaurant chain located in the South, similar to Chick-fil-A. Except it is far better than the crap that is served at Chick-fil-A. For those headed south out of St. Louis on I-55, it is the first exit in Arkansas in front of the WalMart. You won't be disappointed. read more

Overall, I think the ambience and atmosphere is perfect, as well as the food. The prices are decent - about $10 for a drink and combo plate. During a 10.5 hour trip from Gulfport to St Louis we stopped here. The lady sounded upset at first but later actually smiled and told us to have a blessed day. The chicken strips were a bit small, the crinkle fries had a good seasoning and the BBQ sauce was okay. My side salad was run if the mill, bagged lettuce with a few tomatoes and cucumbers thrown in but sufficed. Overall, if ever back in town, we MAY come back. read more

I was excited to see that Blytheville had a Zaxbys as that I love their salads. Walked in on a warm spring day to bee hit with freezing temperatures. Everyone that came in complained. Server said that the kitchen gets warm so they turn down the thermostat. It had to be less than 60 degrees in the dining room. Not sure where the manager was but this should never have happened. Everyone was getting their orders to go because it was painfully cold. I had planned on dessert, but left instead. I'm sure that this manager's poor decision hurt their bottom line tonight. I always get the Grilled Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. It comes with toast but sometimes it can taste a bit stale. It's a hit or miss with the toast but the salads are great and hearty. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other place to eat. Never have I been to a restaurant and treated so poorly. Our order was incorrect and when we requested it be correct the woman requested we go back around the drive through line. When we refused and asked to order what she left off the woman slammed the drive through door shut. I went inside to speak to a manager and of course she said she was and I was not able to speak to any other supervisor or manager. Not to mention she said she didn't have a card or contact number of anyone else so I guess that's it? Seemed like she was ready to escalate the situation so we left. I'm often in Blytheville for work. The greatest challenge here is getting good and/or healthy prepared food, especially salads. Consequently, http://zaxbys.com is my go-to place for lunch, always a salad and usually a Grilled Chicken Caesar salad, which features fresh mixed greens and (normally not-soggy) croutons. Today, though, I got the Ranchero salad, which features "a barbacoa chicken fillet, crispy tortilla strips, fire-roasted corn, black beans and Picante Ranch dressing" - out-freaking-standing! The tortilla strips are nicely crispy, the Roma tomatoes are good, and the corn & beans are wonderful (and rare in a town that has at least two 'Mexican restaurants' - NONE of which offer black beans). And is huge! They must sell all salads by volume, but this one weighs at least 0.5 kg! Made my day. read more
