While the park is nice and you're close to the Mississippi river only one shower room was open and it was upstairs.

This RV park wrestles with flooding from time to time. That makes it hard for them to have top-notch equipment, but what they had was more than adequate for our 36 foot country coach RV. All the electrics worked OK in the water was good. There is a beautiful view of the Mississippi and the river was not high so you could walk along the bank and watch the river flow. There's also a lot of grass and open areas where a dog can run. Ours is on a training collar so he could investigate all around and you didn't have to worry about him bothering anybody. There's lots of space available. It's a pretty large park. The people were friendly when we checked in and everything went well. They had one bad review which worried us But for us everything was OK and we would come back again. read more

No refunds, even though electric was bad and we had to run generator. Maintenance guy said only those with Progressive or Mad Dog surge protectors ever had problems. The protector kept cutting off power so often, we finally went out and shut breaker off. We could not do anything with it, no AC, no cooking. So, generator it was, even if exhaust obviously bothered neighbors. Spaces were kind of tight, and there were no picnic tables, just a few benches on the riverbank. There was free laundry, though it was always busy with people while we were there. The free wifi actually worked, so that was good, because Verizon signal was poor. The grounds were clean, but I'm not sure was all the spraying of the grassy areas was about. They did the lawn maintenance during the dinner hour. Mower hit rocks a lot. There were electrical workers in an unmarked white van the next morning. They were working on the main and several pedestals. The main guy was on the phone mostly. They did not inspire our confidence. It was $60 for one night, so a costly lesson. We will not return. read more

One of our favorite places...right on the Mississippi River! This trip we are staying for two weeks. Watching the barges from our RV or the park benches placed by the river. The sites are nice and wide and level, many with concrete pads. Trash facilities could be more convenient, just one location and it's not near. Laundry is free! read more

Gorgeous "Walking Dead" vibes in this park! I kept waiting for Rick to come out of the overgrowth and take out the zombies(campers)! LOL All joking aside... if you like nature, and a serene backdrop this is your place. Now, if you are looking for a bougie place to park your rig, do your laundry, and enjoy use of a perfectly tiled restroom...this isn't your place. If you fret at the site of a mosquito - this isn't the place for you. The laundry and restroom facilities serve their purpose, they are not pretty on the outside. The sites are 2/3 oldish concrete, 1/3 gravel. We didn't have a problem leveling in our spot. We were in site 97. This whole section has the same concrete/gravel driveway. The grass areas are expansive and very nice for walking your dog and watching the birds. There are some nice benches along the riverfront. What we loved and why we give it 4 stars... We camp to enjoy the outdoors. This place is amazing for that! Three large ponds with turtles! An occasional duck. A variety of other birds flying around, eating out of the trees, swooping down to the surface of the river to catch a bite to eat! The river is sweet! The current is swift as it transports fallen trees/trunks downstream. There is back and forth movement of gravel barges which was also enjoyable to watch. There are fireflies in the "jungle"...a diluvial jungle the office said. Mosquitos are most certainly a problem so don't forget your Murphy's Insect Repellent. LOL -1 star because of the slanted state of the steps and outside appearance of the restroom/laundry facilities. We will definitely return in the future! read more

We only stayed one night since we were passing through but it was a super easy place to set up. We came in at night and had no problem finding everything we needed. Our reciept envelope even had a map with the route to our site highlighted! It has full hook ups too! They had full bathrooms and two washers and dryers near our site. Customer service was friendly. If we decide to visit Memphis, this is the place we will stay! read more

If you like roughing it..this maybe perfect for you. You pay KOA rates & there are no amenities aside from the RV hook up. The grass was tall & not maintained so we couldn't take the dogs out & just around our RV. No wifi...lots of "at ur own risk" in the packet we got but not stated on the website. Lots of construction type workers, standing around outside. The scenery is a disappointment. We got "riverfront view" but it's really half sandy & mostly industrial ships & boats passing thru. read more

The tugs and barges with close proximity to Mississippi River are the only things good about this park. Roads dirt with ruts and weeds. The pads are concrete and level. We just are not going back for the price and lack of maintenance. read more

we stayed there for a week, 1Oct to 7 Oct. it's a nice park to watch the river boats go up and down the Mississippi River. Staff was helpful. little dusty at times. not a lot to do there unless you got to town. I thought it was a little cost to stay there. a lot of over night stay. I think if I were to stop there again, I would stop only for the night. read more

Location next to Mississippi River is very nice. Wonderful area between each RV Spot. Most are gravel but have some concrete pads. Lovely trees and quietness with quick access to Downtown Memphis in 5 minutes. Could use some renovations in facilities such as paved access verses gravel that causes dust storms for neighbors. Some spots have large trees so great if you want shade but not good for satellite so ask about spot. You will love the views and peace and quite. read more

Spent one rainy and dreary evening here and am impressed. This park was recommended to me as it sits on the river and there's barges going up and down, which thought I would enjoy, and I do. As an added bonus there's also a train that moves close to here also, nice whistle. The rv spot I stayed in was 3 rows back from the river and this set of sites is only couple feet above the current river height, which is likely high due to spring snow melt. Don't know this for certain, just guessing. This is a great view of the river and can see the traffic going up and down and hear the boats, such a rythmic and relaxing sound. For am rv park is average price which means still much cheaper than a KOA. Will make it a point to come here again and spend more than one tired and rainy evening. read more

This is a beautiful and peaceful campground by the Miss River. We were fortunate to get to back up to the Miss River. Love to come back.

This place is rather primitive. We did have full hook ups, but the Wi-Fi is not functional. Didn't use their showers and bathrooms. They're inside a trailer type structure. Other than full hook ups, there are no other amenities. There are no restaurants or stores in the vicinity. Lots of big rig traffic on the main road. We were supposed to stay longer, but because of lack of amenities, we left a day early, forfeiting the fee for one night. The river can be pretty, but you have an industrial view on both ends. This is a good spot for a night or two. read more

This is my third time at this park, and admittedly the first time since 2007. The park was, and still is, a great spot right on the Mississippi with a great, friendly host. The park has solid electric, water and sewer.... And something that not many people mention is that there is a big field (like - football field sized give or take) for the kids, dogs, etc to play in. The park is about 4 miles from I40 and I55, which makes it perfectly fine for one night stays, but is also puts you within 15 minutes of most of the normal Memphis attractions. Giving this park 2 stars because of location. Views are incredible but the park itself is horrible! Very dirty. The permanent camper area is trash! The laundry facility has never been cleaned. Washers are filthy. They say you can connect to Wi-Fi on your lap top but it is never available. Called the office and the woman is just rude. Don't veer off in this area. Pretty sketchy. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. If this place were cheaper I still wouldn't stay here. Price is too high for what you get. Please believe me and don't give this place a dime of your money! If managed properly it would be wonderful. What a shame!! read more

I really don't understand why anyone would not give this place 5 stars. We have been here so many times. This time 2 weeks. We are full time RV'ers. The view of the Mississippi River with tugs/barges and Paddle wheel boats with music going. The breezes are so calming. Yes you have to take your garbage to the dumpster. But WE are still in the COVID issues. And the dumpster is right on your way out! The bathrooms and laundry rooms are always clean. People are so friendly. There are so many trails to bike or walk. Fishing ...yup all around you. But plan more than one night and you will not be disappointed. read more

Relaxing campground located right on the Mississippi River. Extremely clean, surrounded by open air and beautiful nature. Located about 25 minutes from Memphis, TN and local attractions. Campsites are spacious and set up nicely. We stopped for 2 nights with our family of 5. Our kids took a dip in the pond with other camper kids. Other than that, not much else to do for kids with the exception of riding bike and playing in nature. Our kids still enjoyed it! We were there during the Covid pandemic so we opted out of the bathhouses and laundry facility but they do have that available as well. read more

Excellent pull throughs, can take big rigs. 5. Views, of busy Mississippi river. 6. Quiet There are equal pluses to the negatives. After a light rain, this may be a great place to stay. Dust is a problem here. When a fellow RVer comes in or out - a wave of dust comes at your motor home and all patio contents. Chairs, barbecue, picnic table - and of course motor home; will get saturated with white gravel dust from the roads. Even if the road is far away, the dust eventually invades your little camp site. Sitting there relaxing? When the dust wave comes you will get up and go inside your coach unless the taste of dirt is your pleasure. Positive This park is laid out well, it has nice long pull throughs. Each site large, with sufficient space between coaches. Most have good views of the Mississippi River. Even if not a view, no matter the park is large, it is flat, safe, quiet and good for walks. There are park benches in key areas to enjoy the river and barges that go by. Negative Summer- heat because of sunlight hitting the side of your coach, is very hot. Air conditioning must be on at all times. Today is 97F we are getting a direct hit of sunlight. There are few trees here. Coaches lucky enough to park imbued under trees, are the lucky ones. The rest are exposed to direct sunlit pads that keep one inside not enjoying the outside of the RV, at least until such time it becomes shady. The evenings are nice, great for sitting outside. Be sure to use plenty of mosquito repellent, plenty of em buzzing about. . To be fair: Spring, Fall and maybe winter could be excellent times to enjoy this beautiful park. Do not pay attention to the ugly industrial parks and industries getting to this park. Once you are here all of that is forgotten, cannot be seen. Summer, try to ask for a shady space. The only downside is no satellite in the trees. Yet 30 digital channels (off air) are easily picked up. The - no tree - sites easily pick up satellite. read more

Wow! This was a last minute booking on the way home to Texas for 1 night....and this is one of the best campsites I've ever been to! They have concrete pad sites, hook ups, and a great view of the Mississippi River! Really good River view! The resort had mostly large drivable RVs and the staff was really efficient as well. Check-in was very easy! I really liked the fact that they have pull through sites with concrete pads! Hook up was fast and easy....as was leveling. The other RVer's were super nice as well. You definitely want to give this RV campground a try! Great view and pad sites! read more

I love the river views from this park. There are two rows of sites that face looking out over the Mississippi River. The sites are a mix of gravel and some that are concrete. Each site has a picnic table and grass areas between the sites. The park has working wifi and a small shower/bathroom in a small cabin structure. They offer fishing ponds and great views of the boats moving up and down the river. This is a very reasonable park and we will stay here again when visiting the Memphis area. This place was a pleasant surprise! We parked right on the river and enjoyed the nicest breeze and view of the passing barges and river boats. Incredible customer service, and the CLEANEST bathrooms! We stumbled upon this campground a few months ago while visiting Memphis. We knew we would be back this month in our RV so we checked it out. We're very impressed with the initial drive through. Staff was friendly an let us look around. Made easy reservations by phone an came back first weekend in December. We didn't get there until after 7pm but the staff called checking on us an to tell us about the after hours check in. We got there found our envelope with nice directions to our site no problem. Level concrete pull through pads were great. Ours was just 75-100 or so feet from the River bank. Benches riverside proved to have awesome views of the mighty Mississippi River. I was amazed at the sunrise view the next morning. Our stay was only 2 nights an I did not use any of the other services or facilities but saw other campers doing so. Grounds were very well maintained an the staff were friendly. I will be finding another excuse to stay here again. Good Sam discounts on top of reasonable rates. 15-20 minute drive to downtown Memphis you can't beat that! read more

A hidden gem for sure! You wouldnt know it was there just by looking from outside the main road. I came across this park via a Google search as I was planning a trip through 7 states for our family. I thought it would be neat to stay right on the river, and it was! Sunsets, toad catching, lots of space for my girls to ride their bikes, fishing and watching in amazement as huge barges floated by. The staff as so kind. Everyone was very friendly and quiet. We enjoyed the Memphis Zoo as well. The zoo is a MUST!! We will be back! read more

Great value at $35/night for a class A 27ft Rv mobile home. You are right on the Mississippi River, which is the only real plus for this secluded RV camp. Other than that it's just a parking lot with electricity, wanter and sewer. At Tom Sawyer, you won't find a cafe, pool, swing set, any activities of any sort or recreation and no little store. There also seemed to be a lack of community that you find at the majority of campsites. Everyone stuck to their designated parking spot and kept quiet. I was able to connect, but pages were timing out before they could load. The cable never worked. While you are only 15 mi from downtown Memphis, TN, there are no shuttles or any mode of public transportation. We took a $30 round trip uber into the city with ease. I understand that this area suffers severe flooding from the river regularly, but even a little community fire pit with some chairs would go a long way. So wouldn't a small selection of food and supplies at the check in office! I would not recommend this campsite to families traveling with children. read more

Love it! Don't be discouraged by the drive in, past the industrial area. The river view is amazing. The park has benches along the rivers edge so you can set, relax and watch the river traffic go by. Barges of all sizes, speed boats, etc. It's not a steady flow of boats, there is just enough to make it interesting. This park is safe and everyone is VERY friendly and helpful. We were a little nervous on the drive in. In the industrial area of West Memphis, AR. After we made our turn off the main road though, we were in a forested area right on the river. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Bathroom/laundry is actually on a trailer, (so they can move it in case of flooding). Free laundry always a plus, first time we have experienced this. Bathrooms spotless, I swear they cleaned after every use. Loved the view of the river. Spent hours watching the barges go up and down. Only negative: (Environment not RV Park) Our dog twice found some fire ant hills as we were walking around the lakes. We didn't see any hills, so we were surprised when our dog started kicking her legs. Man those suckers move fast. Spots are very spacious and done in a way that almost everyone has at least a peek a boo view of the river. read more
