I've purchased furniture here in the past and it withstood three moves over ten years. I went…read moreshopping for a new place to park my butt and immediately thought of BiltRite. There are pieces that definitely cover style, comfort and durability. However, it's difficult to find a piece that has everything within the budget you may have set for yourself. That being said, there are plenty of options for those who have a little or a lot to spend. And while I didn't find a sofa that spoke to me at that time, I found myself here again, a few years later, looking for a mattress. And this time I did give them all my money. There was a very patient gentleman who put up with me for at least an hour while I tried all the mattresses that fit my criteria, and then while I waffled between my two favorites. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He didn't steer me directly to the most expensive mattress, I found that myself. However it's not the one I chose. I picked the second most expensive one lol I hate shopping, my back chronically hurts from an injury, and the mattress I liked the best alleviated some of that pain. The checkout process was easy. I qualified for a credit card I didn't need, but it allows me to pay off the purchase at my leisure instead of immediately. The delivery was great too. After a couple weeks we had a call to schedule, followed up on the morning of, received a text when they were on the way, and after the delivery was completed. The gentlemen who removed the old mattress set and installed the new one were very professional. I work from home and they barely made a sound. They were respectful of my property and quick. I didn't feel the need to shop around, most places have the same stock and comparable prices. I like BiltRite and was happy with my experience. The mattress has been a lifesaver for me as I don't wake up in intense pain every morning. I find that my experiences over almost 20 years with this store have been pleasant and no pressure. And the fact that I'm not here every other year to replace something is a testament to quality which i appreciate.

Title: DON'T GET THE FLOOR MODEL…read more I give this business a 3 for the sales interaction and a 1 for the product. Here's my story. I went to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Wauwatosa on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The sales associate listened to my needs: I'm a retired senior, so I needed a manually operated chair with a small footprint that I can read in and sleep in as my back benefits when I stay in a neutral position. He also told me a bit too much about his own needs in a recliner. Eventually he directed me to a floor model that was on sale for around half price. I liked the style and color. It's very hard to get a feel for a chair in 5-10 minutes, esp. when you're going to sleep in it. I also didn't realize that floor models, as they're not full price, are not returnable. That choice has really soured my opinion of the brand, as I'd rather have spent more money so that I could return a chair that is unsatisfactory instead of wasting money on something I cannot use for half of its intended use. I cannot read in this chair. I can use it for about 20 minutes, but it either folds me up too tightly, aggravating my hips, or reclines me too much. Additionally, I've determined that this chair is aggravating my sleep apnea during nighttime, possibly because the head of the chair is puffy. I'm short, so I think the puffy head hits me differently and causes my head to move forward, blocking my breathing. My Apple Watch says my instances of sleep apnea have increased dramatically. In my old, ratty recliner, which was firm (not puffy), I didn't even have to wear my CPAP. So it's back to wearing the CPAP at night. To wrap it up, the delivery service was very good. The staff who delivered the chair were quick and professional. All in all, it's been a very disappointing and expensive experience.

The seasonal decor area is such an eclectic collection of items, that you will most likely chuckle and/or get a sense of nostalgia from the available items. If you are looking for a truly unique gift, this area is your one stop shop. The grocery area is my favorite. The vast amount of Japanese and German items available for purchase makes me sooo happy! Start to finish, our experience with Joe at Ethan Allen was outstanding…read more We were in the market for our first "grownup" furniture purchase, and were fully prepared to fend off pushy salesmen in I'll-fitting suits. To our pleasant surprise, Joe showed up to change our perception of furniture store associates. Joe's demeanor is calming, professional, kind, patient and jovial. He clearly cares about ensuring that the shopper makes a great decision before spending any money, made apparent by his willingness to bring samples of leather to our house so we could envision our new chairs in their permanent setting. Joe knows how to offer advice without condescension by asking great questions and really listening to the answers. His mild approach extended into the discussion of protection plans when he clearly explained the cost and benefits of purchasing accidental coverage for our new chairs. Normally I'm one of those "that's how they get ya" kind of people, but I actually felt great about buying peace of mind from Joe. The custom chairs were completed and delivered ahead of schedule, which is always a bonus. One complaint: the delivery guys were not at all gentle or careful with the chairs or our home. They were banging into our porch railing, walls and door casings, and set the chairs down pretty hard on our brand newly refinished floors. That said, I can't give less than five stars. It would be criminal to let a couple of lackeys tarnish this review for Joe. Thanks buddy! See you when we are ready for a new couch!
