I'm a…read moreprecovid frequent dinner and take out was never really my problem thing when I frequented here because it had a certain ambiance with the service when ever I dinned in there that brought me back over and over with different people to experience. So I was so very disappointed when after Covid they continued with the only pick up service. The food quality is enough to continue yes but the vibe dining in and at the bar I truly miss. My daughters fell in love with this place because every time we walked into that dinning room there was a particular servers who KNEW US. They knew us enough to know my daughters had a favorite table (the 1st we sat at dinning there). They know us to know that my daughters had special distinction drink mocktails (one of the reasons the fell in love wit this place) that they could order even when it was no longer in the menu. This was one of those places we frequented....even if they couldn't get their special table or waiter, the quality never disappointed. During Covid we order delivery regularly because we didn't realize how much this spot because our Caribbean food must have. I can't say we ever really had tried a different meal from over favorable ones that made us say this is one thing they don't get right to us. And the rum punches and Bob Marley drinks they served during their dinning days is what got me to the pin t I had to start stopping in this joint just to have a drink and appetizers. This really used to be by spot back when they had dine in services. Over the years it's in our delivery/pickup Bronx favorite list unfortunately. I say unfortunately because now that we are back at full operational living. I har to slash the delivery/pickup weekly rituals to only situations of desperation not necessity. So this spot has only become a craving order delivery/pickup order spot. Not a I got some/gonna make some time to go enjoy a drink and some Caribbean food spot destination. Which this was my #1 default choice before Covid as I said this used to be my spot. I would take my daughters here damn there biweekly if not be there weekly myself on dates and when hanging out . Cause they people there were serious enough about customer service they would acknowledge knowing who you are and treat you as such. Hence again why my daughters loved this place as kids. *Looks right and left* a yoo when yall opening the dinning in area again cause it's been log enough now...FIX IT! lol

I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

The ambiance of the restaurant is cute but enjoyable because of the music. Great chunes of course...that'll have you cracking shells and dancing in your seat at the highest regard. Shoutout to Solana for working the whole restaurant herself on a busy Sunday. She was takin orders, sitting folks at tables, bringing in drinks and checking up on everyone BY HERSELF. it was very impressive and appreciate her impeccable customer service and energetic spirit to go along with it. Even when the tall dark gentlemen came in to start his shift she was still running around getting things done and he was no where to be seen. So thank you again Solana!!

Taco Tuesday! We…read morewent here for Taco Tuesday after seeing the special posted on IG. Upon arrival the only available table for a party of 2 was directly in front of the DJ speakers so we sat at the bar. The bartender comes over and I tell her we're here for their Tuesday Happy Hour specials. As per their IG post tacos (ALL) are $2. So we ordered chicken, shrimp & steak. The bartender tells me the steak isn't included and is an additional charge. So I pull up the IG post which states differently. She's unaware of the post or special and has to run it by a manager. We ordered 6 tacos but 7 came out. I pointed out the extra taco she apologized and said we wouldn't be charged for it. Next I order the froze. The froze and the margarita were both juice like. Entirely too sweet for the froze and too much sour mix on the margarita. The tacos were mid, steak was tough & chicken wasn't seasoned. The check comes and we were charged the $2 for the steak taco, the 7th taco that I didn't order (the bartender was suppose to comp) was on the bill and froze that was suppose to be $2 as per the IG post was $13. I bring the price difference of the Froze to the bartenders attention and she states that the $2 froze is in a smaller cup than what she gave me. How would I know that? I showed her the IG post with specials upon placing my first order. Clearly if it's a Tuesday special and I'm ordering on a Tuesday that's why I'm ordering it. She said she would have to speak to a manager came back and said the manager wouldn't honor the $2 advertised price. I paid my bill and left. To make a social media post to gain patrons.... Patrons come specifically for said specials and then not honor them?! Such a waste of time and money. The service, food and drinks are subpar at best.

The rice and peas done perfect, shelly and nice. The fish, however, while cooked lacked overall seasoning, the only place I tasted seasoning was in the head, the whole body had none. The cabbage was also extremely soft, borderline mushy. The gravy was very thick and reminded me of the gravy you get when you order chicken and broccoli.

The portions were huge. I got a large oxtail and white rice. I also got two medium sizes of oxtail with peas and rice and steamed vegetables. The rice was flavorful, soft and fluffy. The oxtail was meaty, full of seasoning and had the most tasty gravy. I was also able to get some festival which i was so surprised they had. The first thing I tried was the macaroni pie, now for those of us like me who have never heard of macaroni pie it is the traditional pan macaroni that is cuttable into squares. The macaroni had cheese on top, very dry with no seasoning. Now what I mean by seasoning is it didn't have any salt at all not even a hint of accent or something to give it just a little bit of flavor. It was barely edible, so I was a little apprehensive about my main course. I ordered a small oxtail and I was so disappointing until I could not eat it. It was not flavorful and it was very dry. As you know, they give you a lot of rice and I couldn't really find the peas, maybe I should take another picture for you since I still have it. They give you about 5 to 6 small oxtails and it's definitely not worth $14. The food just did not taste good. You can try this location for yourself, but I don't believe I will go back there again. The people however, were very nice and friendly and welcoming. This is why I didn't give them a one, because customer service definitely get to star.

I also had two drinks made by the lovely bartender with the "A," and honestly, everything was going great at first. Unfortunately, my experience was completely changed by an interaction I witnessed between one of the male servers and the bartender. He started cursing at her because a straw wasn't placed in the drink. The straw holder was literally right there and within arm's reach, so he could have easily grabbed one himself or simply asked her for one. The way he spoke to her was really unnecessary and uncomfortable to watch, especially in such a beautiful establishment. To become that disrespectful and hostile over something as small as a straw was extremely unprofessional and, quite frankly, distasteful. I really enjoyed my food and the drinks, and the bartender was absolutely pleasant, but that interaction definitely put a damper on my experience. I sincerely hope management addresses his behavior because no employee should be spoken to or treated that way over something so minor, especially in front of customers.
