I was excited to visit this location because I've been dying for some good fried fish without having to head down to the city. I've never been to their Harlem location so I can't compare it to that, specifically. The location is nice and clean inside and you can smell the aroma from the fish frying. The woman at the counter was polite. We ordered a Fish and Shrimp dinner with Mac and cheese and Collard Greens, Shrimp dinner with fries and Mac and cheese, sides of Candied Yams and Potato Salad, for drinks we got Half and Half and a Miami Vice(Lemonade/Fruit Punch). We were running other errands nearby so I stepped out for about 25 mins and my order was packed when I returned. I was disappointed to see that the sides of Candied Yams and Potato Salad were missing from the bag when I got home. The sides were $6.50 each so it's no small loss. The Whiting was decently seasoned, but nothing to write home about. The Shrimp were on the sweeter side, but didn't have much seasoning. The hot sauce and tartar sauce were pretty standard fare. The Collard Greens were tough and bland. The Mac and Cheese was quite greasy and a little overseasoned. The drinks were ok, but the sweet tea tasted like the powder teas. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with order, especially with the missing items. Our total was about $75 and if you subtract the missing items it ends up being $30pp. I can say the portions were substantial, but the taste left me wanting more. I know it's a new location so I'm willing to give it at least one more chance.

Make My Fish, Make My Day! This is such a nice addition to the Yonkers area. First things first, I had never heard of Make My Fish until my partner mentioned wanting to try the Harlem location. I became curious and took a look on their IG page. The food looks absolutely mouth watering! I was excited to see the Yonkers location open up so I could conveniently try them. I stopped in on the first Saturday of their opening week and it was crazy. They were closing at 7 and I got there by 630. The line was long and they ran out of some items, so I left. I returned on the following Tuesday, just after opening to pick up lunch for my partner and I. The line was already building but I had a good chance. I was welcomed by the staff, including one of the owners, and easily ordered my meals. The menu consists primarily of seafood options like shrimp, catfish, and even a seafood boil however, they also offer chicken wings. Moreover, this is soul food at its core. Sides include candied yams, collard greens, and potato salad. For more basic options, they also offer french fries. I decided to have the fish dinner which included 2 sides, I went with the potato salad and candied yams. For my partner, I got him the fried shrimp dinner with fries and mac and cheese. To wash it down, I also got homemade iced teas. They use a number call out system to collect your meal and My food was up within about 10 minutes but I suppose, depending on what you order, it could be longer. Now let's talk about the taste and appearance - Firstly, the packaging could be improved. The fish and shrimp were packed in paper bowls then wrapped in wax paper. The sides were comfy in plastic containers. The use of paper bowls could be improved, it just does'nt seem secure as things tend to move around. Moreover, the food is hot and potential sweating could further impact the paper bag. A nice corrugated box would've been better. I like the plastic containers and I can see the convenience in them using them. As for the taste, my fish dinner was top tier! I received about 4 pieces of deliciously seasoned whiting fish. It wasn't as crispy as I like but it was still great. The seasoning was also reminiscent of what I've had in terms of authentic soul food. If you're looking for old bay seasoning, this ain't it. The candied yams were soft with a rich, sweet syrup. I could taste notes of cinnamon and vanilla all wrapped in. As for the potato salad, it was also a hit for me. It had a traditional soul food taste and it was prepared well. From what I heard, they have traditional potato salad and a sweet potato version. Regarding my partner's meal, which I also ate from, the shrimp was on-point. The seasoning is again, very soul food like however, there is a subtle sweetness. Overall delicious and fried nicely. The french fries weren't that great. They're regular frozen fries but they tasted a little old. Maybe a better brand would work. Finally, they missed the mark with the mac and cheese. It was salty and greasy. It also lacked the creamy, cheesy texture that I anticipated after seeing the IG videos. In terms of service, staff were kind and welcoming. As for the restaurant itself, it's a small take out spot. There are a few high top chairs available for you to enjoy your meal there but given how popular it is right now, there really isn't room to sit down. The restaurant is located within a shopping plaza, so parking is ample. In addition to food, there is also a juice bar inside. From what I've learned, this is new offering that they do not provide at the Harlem location. I did not order anything, but it looks like a nice setup. Finally, Pricing seems fair and aligns with what I'm used to paying. Overall, the food was promising. I wouldn't say I was blown away but I did enjoy it and I will be returning!

Being a southern boy I love my fried catfish and Make my Fish delivers. I would prefer a little more cornmeal in the batter but overall the consistency flavor and cook on the fish was excellent. The sides are equally as good. These were some of the best collard greens I have ever had and the Mac & cheese was baked nicely and was very delicious. I definitely recommend take out. The interior of the restaurant is very small and shares with a juice bar. Seating is very limited. I didn't wait more than 10 minutes after ordering before I had my to go order so service is very fast. I will be back several more times during my next three weeks in the area. Excellent fish

Potato salad is very good has a perfect balance. The potatoes are cooked perfect & not mudhy

New location, the line was out the door so I left. I came back and I left again. 3rd time I waited and finally got what I've been wanting some of the crispiest and heavily flavored chicken wings and one of the best collard greens you can buy. The Mac and cheese is good too (to much flavor) if that's even a complaint. The fried whiting was really good and flavorful, I love their flavor profile. Fries are fries no seasoning/salt but that's fine cause everything else is. Half and half always hits.

The fish tasted like chicken, I was very good with the seasoning on it, though was fries were average at best. The service was simple and fine, although I wish there more options for sodas. The place is your typical "take your ordered food and go" restaurants but in their case, it's effective. The inside looks nice. Still a good place, good for them for expanded from Harlem.

I've been to the Harlem location and I was so happy to see them come to Yonkers. However I am disappointed. The taste is good but they are extremely stingy. This is supposed to be a fish dinner. It looks like they were running out of fish and gave me the fish scraps. For $22, this is the fish I get.

I started with the oyster Rockefeller. I wanted charbroiled oysters so this was the closest. These were really delicious. Nice flavor. I then had the bronzino & mac n cheese. Plenty of lobster in the mac and cheese. Could do with a little more cheddar but really creamy. The portion size was also just right. The bronzino was ok but adding a little lemon juice took it to delicious. I was torn between the tiramisu or creme brulee but went with the tiramisu. Only thing this needed was a cup of coffee. This was my 1st time but will not be my last. The attentiveness was one of the best I've had. As I arrived i kept seeing people come in and be greeted like this was Cheers, and I can see how this would be that place. Added touch was that you get to ask for your car by text before you exit. Yep this spot will be on my repeat list.

Big menu even if you have non-seafood eaters. They definitely have the cool factor down pat, and are very welcoming. Beer list was decent, with some good options include from Finback, and also a great looking drink menu (was too early in the day). The food? Just alright. Got a Connecticut lobster roll on the waiter's recommendation. It had plenty of lobster even though it was a small piece of bread (they promise 1/4 lb). They used primarily claw which can be a good thing, although in my case it's not my favorite part; for a lobster roll I love when it's a mix of all of the lobster, with my favorite part being the knuckles. The meat was good quality, however there is very little butter and only some chopped scallions. Read: bland. Plus it came with a small bag of Lay's plain chips. For $30, I expect better than that. My son's fries were alright (also bland), however my wife's half chicken with corn looked great. Would come again however not rushing back. Pretty expensive for something that didn't come close to 'wow'. They seem to have good ingredients, so it's just a matter of elevating them a bit better. More style than substance right now.

Unfortunately, he was extremely dismissive and simply said no, then added that there were no tables available for us--which was odd considering the group right after us got seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was how we were dressed or what, but his overall attitude felt very cold and unwelcoming. We ended up sitting at the bar, and to be fair, Bill did help coordinate with the bartender Ana to get us seats together, which I appreciated. Ana herself was kind and attentive, though when we asked for food recommendations, she mostly just said "everything is great." I personally prefer a bit more honest guidance. For food, we shared the Hot Honey Roni Sicilian, Caesar salad, and calamari fritti. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect. Overall, the experience was okay. The drinks were good, and my friend and I always make the best of things, but for the price point (about $80 each with two drinks and tip), I expected better service and slightly more generous portions. I'd consider going back, especially if we're biking in the area again--but next time, we'll definitely bring bike locks...and avoid the garden
