Wanted to get out for a walk after the bit of snow we got. I have never stopped at this park and am very happy I decided to check it out. There was so much to do between the ball parks, playgrounds, dog park, endless options. I will for sure visit again with my dog and check out the dog park. Visible signs and maps throughout the park. We celebrated my mom's 70th birthday party inside the clubhouse. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to get in early and start the setup. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect for a memorable celebration. My son is home with his dog. So, we decided to take her to the dog park. The Wescott Park dog park has two areas that allow you to separate large dogs from small ones. Saint was able to make new friends and run around with other dogs to get "zoomies" out of her system. She had a ball. The dogs at the park were very friendly and so we're their owners. There is water for the dogs, a few structures for them to jump through, and a potty area with poop bags readily available. The only disappointment I had with the park was that the large dog area had a nice grass turf, while the small one was just grass. It was quite muddy in our area since it rained the day before. Other than that, it's a nice area to socialize your pet and make new friends. read more

Adore this park, even though it's definitely a multiplex. The best question to ask is, what activities do they not provide? The entire layout, amenities, and beautiful structures around the area speak to the thoughtful planning (thank you!) and substantiallll funding (double thank you!) that create the actually perfect space for families to all enjoy a great day outside. When I say amenities, that refers to the extensive walking trails, workout area, *nice* indoor venues that can be reserved, sheltered picnic areas that can be reserved, volleyball.... there's likely more that I didn't cover and have yet to explore! We found this spot originally to bring our foster dog to "get socialized" at the dog park. They have two separate Astro turf areas- one for the small dogs, one for the big guys. Our corgi naturally loves the big dog park because he whole heartedly believes he is of that stature. Ok! They've got the works. And awesome dogs bring their owners here too! It's great. *Also the dog areas are dedicated to a wonderful civil servant, which is always 100 in my book- will snap a pic next time. Lastly there's gorgeous baseball fields and batting cages that dare I say look professional. Where were these when I was in high school? Who cares they're here now! I love this place! The park is amazing. I love playing softball there. Also the fields are really cool. Really recommend going for at least one game or to play on the parks. Such as the playgrounds and the dog park. It is a fun community. But it's a drive from where I live. But it's ok. It's still fun! read more

My son and I love this park. It's always very clean and he loves looking at the fire trucks right by the playground. It's very unique and a great place to take pictures as well. I especially love that there is almost always a police officer here and the amount of gates so my little one can't pull a fast one. We always have a great time here! We bring the dogs to the dog park and bring the kiddos to the park often! The whole family can enjoy their time here. We always meet great people and my kiddos have met lots of friends here as well. We've had parties where we've brought our own grill and used the picnic tables! Plus, the Rec sports are held here as well. read more

Wescott Park on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a beautiful and well maintained park that has many features including baseball fields, a trail, picnic area, fitness area, and playground. There is plenty of space to run around and get some fresh air during the middle of the day. I have had fun and a good experience every time I have been here. This is a great park complex. read more

This is a nice park. You would think they would cover the playgrounds though. After riding bikes from Wescott to the playground the slides were way to hot to slide down on. Even if they did the covers like the schools do over their playgrounds would be nice. read more

Looks like a nice ballpark and a couple club houses are the center attraction for this park. There is a delightful dog park area with hoops, tunnels, and hurdles... small and large dog divided areas and benches for people to sit on, water and poop bags provided. What I liked best was the grass was turf-like short & flat...bermuda I think, easy to walk on and keeps your shoes and pets cleaner than most dog parks. I couldn't see any bike or walking trails except in the immediate circle around the park. I did see a small wooden bridge ...will have to see where it leads next time..according to online resources there are trails through the wetlands. The park is free and open 9 am to 9 pm everyday. read more

Easy access from anywhere in Wescott or Whitehall area via running or bike. A really nice park which is geared mostly for baseball. But includes so much more. They have a little kid play area which includes a giant baseball mitt with two slides, closable gates, soft rubber floor and a fake tire swing. Great for toddlers and slightly older. The bigger kid play area is further towards the back. It has the typical jungle gym setup. Next to this is also a small open field for play. There is a split dog park. One for larger dogs with a few obstacles and another connected are for smaller dogs. The overall size is not huge but it is much better then driving to Wanamaker and paying. The baseball fields are very well kept and they man the concession stand during games. They also have a few rentable areas, a few open ones and another enclosed pavilion. There is a large pedestrian path which goes from lowes all the way to ladles. Since I run a lot I use this path frequently. I always include this as a stop for the family to have a little fun when we go out on the bikes. read more

It should be called Wescott Baseball Park. On terms of being an actual park it really isn't. There's one crappy playground area and a dog park located way in the back. It has potential to be one of the decent parks in the area but is definitely not on the same level as Gahagan Park or some of the neighborhood parks that are located in the Wescott subdivision. read more

This is a lovely baseball field, but a park it is not. The playground is made of metal, which gets searing hot in the sun and there is no shelter at all on the playground itself. Maybe at dusk during a game this would be a workable option, but for daytime play it's a definite no. read more

I love taking my dogs and infant daughter to this park! We live less than 10 minutes away and it has great amenities. The dog park is nice and features a section for small and large although everyone lets all their dogs together typically. The kids play area is nice and the only thing I wish they had were swings (they have a tire swing). The place looks new and is well-maintained. read more

Very cool park that has fields modeled after several famous cities in the US, including San Francisco and Chicago. The kids' playground has a slide in the shape of a glove, which made me want to be small again so I could try it out! How cute! There are some neat walking trails, concessions and best of all, a very nice dog park with sections for big and small dogs, free of charge.
