Good park to take my kids. My son is 11 and he is a little too big physically and a big too old emotionally for the park, but for the last few years he has enjoyed coming here. Lots of kids and parents every time I have been here. The big downsides is that there needs to be a few more bathrooms, it's often a wait, and they need more seating, especially in the shade, and the seating isn't really comfortable. The perfect outdoor playground for active kids lays within 40 minutes. I finally had the opportunity to visit a couple of weeks ago with my kid and some friends. My suggestion is come early to snag parking and that's the only not thing to really watch out for. The playground boasts tons of different areas with opportunities to swing, climb, bounce, roll, and explore. I loved the variety of activities and things to do. I also love that the playground is mostly covered which makes the sun or some drizzle not a big deal. There are some areas outside the playground to sit and eat. I'm not sure about the process for booking an area or if you have to, but it's a solid place for a party. This is now a weekend staple! read more

I love this park. There's always a lot of kids here regardless of when I go, but it never feels like it's overcrowded. My kid always finds something to play on. Incredible playground, one of the biggest you'll come across. There's something for every age range, even fitness stations for teenagers and adults. Ok so we recently moved to the state and with my parents visiting we decided to visit North Charleston- beautiful area. Now after a day of running some errands one of the locals recommended this park and HOLY MOLY this was the best park I've ever been to- it's free, there's ample parking and so clean. I was in aww the whole time by the level of engineering that went into creating this park- literally fun for all ages. It's such a big park you're following your kids the whole time because it's so easy to lose sight of them but now anytime I offer to take my littles to the park this is the only park they want to go to. If you're ever in the area with kids this park can fill up hours in your day and the kids leave feeling so happy. This park everybody's imagination can truly run free and kids of all ages can truly just be kids. read more

Park Circle Playground is a large inclusive playground that opened in North Charleston, South Carolina in November 2023. The playground is one part of the $20 million Park Circle renovation project that includes an inclusive baseball field, farmers market pavilion, community building and green space all packed into the center of the big roundabout. It is the largest inclusive playground in the world. Designed to be an inclusive haven for people of all ages and abilities, this playground shows dedication from the North Charleston community to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play. For children in wheelchairs, the playground equipment includes several "transfer stations" that allow a caretaker to help the child out of the wheelchair so they can navigate the platforms and slides. The park includes a wheelchair charging station next to a set of games for children to play while waiting.  My family and I visited Park Circle Playground this past summer while we were visiting family in the area. My wife and I are always on the lookout for cool playgrounds for our two boys, but this was by far the coolest playground any of us had ever seen! Notable features include the Hedra Towers, the Super Netplex, the Quantis 8.2, the Zipkrooz, the Global Motion, and the Double Oodle Swing. There's even an area that resembles a gym and includes "exercise machines" and a 'Ninja Warrior' course that emulates the reality TV show's obstacles. Our sons both had a blast! Our only regret is that we don't have a playground like this back in our home state. We'll definitely be returning on our next trip to Charleston! read more

We found this hidden gem here in park circle and it was EPIC. I've never seen anything like it before and having 2 kids with us, it was heaven for them. I love how unique and elevated this playground was. They even had corner for adults to have fun too. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius and I plan on taking my kids here whenever I have them! Rockabillaque is awesome! The culture of rockabilly is awesome! Rockabillaque is the fusion of: pin-ups | pinups | tattoos | rockabilly| gothabilly | pyschobilly | beards and moustache | etc makes Rockabillaque awesome! There is a "sister event" in Florida. The phenomenon started as simply a car show with musicians and has expanded into what it is today over the years! Park circle in general has been revitalized and the classic cars let's you take a step back into time. :) read more

This park is amazing. Huge playground with plenty to keep the kids entertained for a while!! Lots of slides, and swings, rock climbing wall, and jungle gym things. There is also a smaller version on some of the jungle gym things for toddlers too. Plenty of shade as well and lots of bench seating around the perimeter of the playground for anyone to sit. Soft flooring to prevent injuries as well. The Public bathrooms were clean and easy to get too also. I was shocked how big this place was an my niece had the best time here. She was able to run around and get some energy out before lunchtime. I wish there were more parks like this around. Will definitely bring my nieces here as many times as they wish! read more

This park is AMAZING! It has so much to do, for all ages. There's an area for younger toddlers as well as many other areas for older kids. Plenty of parking. Very clean, with clean restrooms too. My only complaint was how busy it was, but we went the week before Christmas when the weather was nice (visiting from out of town), so that was expected. My kids (2 & 4 yo) begged to go there everyday we were visiting, and even wanted to go again after our 6 hour drive back home. read more

Park Circle's new park is a smash hit! They've really thought of everything here. A sweeping complex full of jungle gym activities and musical pieces to keep any child active. They have attractions for children of all ages as well so the toddlers and teens can play. All of this is made better with a padded surface to add extra safety when a child inevitably takes a tumble. This is even a great place for kids to start sharpening their ninja warrior skills as several obstacles based on the show are there. Every time my daughter comes here she is zooming around everywhere and getting her to leave is such a struggle, but a good struggle. My teenager even has a blast here so we will definitely be making this a regular stop a couple times a week. Please come by if you have kids and are in the area. You won't regret it! read more

Much of North Charleston is commercial and franchise/chain-esque, but Park Circle feels like a different town compared to the areas around Northwoods Mall or the colosseum. The "circle" and surrounding park have been around for awhile. The park has a butterfly garden, playground, baseball field, and the circle is about 1/2 mile for running or walking. In the last few years, the name Park Circle has evolved to include the surrounding area, which is newly developed and centered around Montague Avenue. When drinking in Charleston, King Street has a lot of college bars, Upper King has a brewery district, and Park Circle has some breweries (Commonhouse, Holy City) as well as pubs (Madra Rua, DIG) for more mature, post-college crowd. Park Circle has lots of family-friendly businesses too, like a pet store, bookstore, coffee shop, and one of the best ice cream shops, Park Circle Creamery. Even though it's been on hiatus due to COVID, the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration is always a lot of fun. The Christmas lights on the circle are also incredible and budget friendly... FREE. Many parents of small children now save money by driving their kids around Park Circle for free rather than splurging on county park light shows. In 2021, Park Circle Pride became reality. Although there wasn't a parade like many cities have, we had six days of LGBTQ+ centered festivities at different restaurants, breweries, and shops in Park Circle. The inaugural festival was fun with a wonderful turnout, and I'm glad it will be an annual event. All in all, this is a fun neighborhood, especially if you're into the brewery, restaurant, and small/independent business scene. The downsides are that real estate has gotten pricy (and out priced many young people), and street parking is hard to find. Thankfully, parking is still free here! read more

It's been more than five years since moving into a Park Circle neighborhood. After looking at homes north and south of Charleston, Park Circle drew me in with its charm from days gone by and hopeful plans for the future. Well the all inclusive playground at the Circle has exceeded all expectations. We are so lucky to have this beautiful park within walking distance. My grandchildren have visited twice from Myrtle Beach since the grand opening and this is all they talk about. Our community is so fortunate to have this facility in our backyards. It feels like just another step in the positive direction to encourage young families to move into a community with amenities for all ages. I feel confident that we will continue to make great choices to keep our neighborhood safe and full of positivity. So many wonderful activities and small businesses to help us stay close to home and become more connected with those who share our ambitions for our reinvented Park Circle. read more

I will admit wasn't always a fan of park circle maybe because I go to college of Charleston and just have always felt like I didn't fit in park circle very well but this past weekend we went for the block part for st Patrick's day and it changed our mind. Forgot how many cute businesses and so many great food options are in the area! We enjoyed the big park, my roommate was amazed by it like she was a little kid. Such a cool area definitely underrated! Was very easy to find only thing was parking for this event but I don't think it's usually that bad so I'm sure when I come back for a regular outing it won't be so hectic. Park Circle is much more than just a park inside of a roundabout. Park Circle extends further out than that into a neighborhood filled with homes, apartments, businesses, restaurants, and a nice little downtown area. Those living here have told me that Park Circle is more than a neighborhood; it is a way of life. I love visiting the Park Circle neighborhood for their fine little restaurants and bars when I'm in the mood for some good food and drink. I love visiting for the festivals that the community throws such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Parade, St. Paddy's Day Festival, etc. There seems to always be something going on here during the weekends. read more

I've lived in the Park Circle area most of my life and the park itself is a lot of why we've stayed so long. It's a great place for families to go play at the playground or throw around frisbees while attempting to play disc golf. I even played little league on the fields ages ago. More recently, I've enjoyed it for a run or walk when I need exercise. I've always felt safe in the area and know many people who come from far away just to play the disc golf course! What's even better is they decorate the entire circle at Christmastime with lights, even having a party for those who live nearby in the community center. It's very quaint and I'd much rather drive around the circle a few times than deal with traffic getting to the JI County Park for their lights. They have a farmers market too on Thursday afternoons. It's worth a visit and is a short walk from some great local restaurants too! read more

Park Circle is a great community spot for events. There's always something going on in the area. There's street parking, as well as a large lot. We came out a few months ago for a food truck festival. We came back today for the Oktoberfest. It was pretty busy. They had several vendors set up. Vendors I noticed were Big Daddy's Pork Skins, Graze, James Brown's Boiled Peanuts, and Habana Club. The lines for beer were long so we didn't try any. There was a band. We probably would've stayed longer if it didn't start raining. There are a few shops, bars, and restaurants in the area. read more

Park Circle has come a long way since the days when it was simply a thoroughfare. It's a large, lovely green space that is now a destination for outdoor activities. It's become a centerpiece for the continuously blossoming and charming Park Circle neighborhood. We grabbed some deli food and sat at the brightly painted picnic tables in the PC butterfly garden. Peaceful place with small signs identifying the flora. The circle has plenty to offer, including a ball field, playground, community center and a disc golf course. Plenty of parking in a few parking lots within the circle. Community events such as farmer's markets, food trucks, hobby clubs, etc. are announced on a digital sign near the community center. read more

Took the fam to Park Circle for the annual Octoberfest. It was a fun environment although sometimes parking can be difficult. All the bars and restaurants were open as well as the many food trucks that came to the event so there was plenty of great food options. I also liked the very long community table which makes you interact as you eat. They had a couple beer tents set up, in my opinion the options were lacking. Beer was expensive for a small glass and there wasn't much to choose from. Overall it was fun and worth getting out the house. read more

A beautiful area in the center of park circle. This park boasts a disc golf course and a baseball field as well as a playground and a weekly farmers market. The facility also has a meeting house for community functions and a well maintained garden area with gazebo. A great place to exercise or spend time outdoors. read more

I stopped here for a disc golf outing on a bachelor party weekend. It was a cool course. We enjoyed the openness of the course. Pay attention to the signs at the holes, it can be a little confusing since there are multiple baskets. One other player we encountered did say not the best course to play during high traffic times, since you have to cross the road every 2 holes. We had no issues playing on a Saturday afternoon. read more
