We've been to Werner Park multiple times over the years for various events and Storm Chasers games, and it's always been a positive experience. Most recently, we attended a Sunday afternoon game for Family Fun Day, and there were plenty of interactive booths and activities for kids, which made it especially enjoyable for families. This time, we chose to sit on the berm since we had our toddler with us, and it was the perfect setup. He had space to run around while we still got to enjoy the game. It's a nice baseball park. Everything is super expensive. Can't visit the concession stands without spending a lot of money. This is AAA, not MLB. When I was a kid, yada yada. Visited Sunday as part of a birthday group. For some reason they gave us tickets five sections away from the rest of the group. Great stadium for both Omaha StormChasers baseball and Union Omaha Soccer/Football games. Excellent opportunity to see some future (or rostered) Kansas City Royals players close up. Concessions have a nice diversity. We really like the Philly Cheesesteaks at the top of section 112. The stadium also has a good variety of draft beers at reasonable prices. Seats are comfy. The Family Fun Zone looks like a great place to take kids. If you like shade- sit on the third baseline side. For sun, sit on the first base line. read more

This review is for the event Santa's Rockin Lights that is held at werner park over the holidays. The entrance is not well labeled or easy to find. But once you find it, the process is straightforward and convenient. You basically just drive through the display, which is set up in the parking lot. We enjoyed how the lights were very in sync with the music for a good chunk of the time. It make for a more dynamic show. The music was a good variety of popular holiday songs. read more

This location is not only the home of the Omaha Storm Chasers, but a fine location for outdoor events. We've enjoyed both, there. Parking is spacious. Have had zero problems parking there. For the games, it's typical ball park seating. Sunscreen and baseball hats recommended. For the events, it varies. Some are small enough to fit in the covered area under the seating. The larger extend to the north area, in the sun. Ours was small, and very enjoyable. Will definitely return! read more

A really nice minor league ballpark where the Omaha Storm Chasers play. Seats are reasonably priced, food selection is your standard ballpark fair. I had a cheeseburger and corn fritters. Burgers was a large but average patty and the fritters were plentiful and freshly fried. They had a sweet taste to them and were served with a spicy dipping sauce- really good. Plenty of parking and a great way to enjoy a ball game. The organization did a lot of fan interaction and many foul balls foe kids to grab. read more

The seats are close with good sight lines, the concourses are nice and wide with plenty of concession stand options and last, but not least, if the kids are getting a little restless, there is a kid friendly zone behind the left field stands that includes a carousel. From the Omaha Stormchaser games to Union Omaha soccer (futbol) to a good old fashioned beer festival, Werner Park is great venue in Lavista on the southwest side of the Omaha metro area. Plenty of parking outside and well placed food and beverage stands on the inside. Sure there's your pedestrian beers (Bud, Bud Light) but also some local craft brews (Nebraska Brewing, etc) to quench the thirsty fans. Pizza, burgers and fries are also available at reasonable prices if hunger strikes. The only thing I have an issue with is that it's not more centrally located. Living in midtown, it's a 20 minute jaunt to get there. It's still worth the trip though. read more

My family and I are huge baseball fans so we are very excited to have this ballpark within two miles of our house. Plus, our favorite team's Triple A farm team plays here (double win)! The ballpark is always clean along with the parking lot. The bathrooms are always fully stocked and clean too! I think the price for food/drinks is not nearly as bad as I was expecting, and I won't need a second job to pay for a weekend visit. Plus, the merchandise has lots to choose from that's reasonably priced. Right now general admission is still in place, but I received an email stating next month tickets will be printed with actual seat rows/seat numbers. They seem to have decent amount of events planned during each pre-game and during the games. They also have monthly themes (fireworks on Saturdays for example). You can buy tickets ahead online or at the box office (they offer military discounts when purchase in person). read more

What a fun park! We came here to see a game while between Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting events. It was May the 4th so tons of Star Wars visitors for the kids. Easy to get in/out. $15 tickets online behind the dugout. Friendly staff. It was a $26 to the park from downtown Omaha. 30 min drive? Great seats but you'll miss the sun if you stay on the home team side. Bathrooms were clean. Only complaint was food line was long and they ran out of pulled pork nachos. My first Omaha Stormchasers game on a cold cloudy Sunday afternoon. The parking is five dollars for the main area and the entry is easy to get through. Thank goodness for choices on days like this, retreating to the Jack Daniels club lounge. The beer is on the pricy side but you get to watch both the action live in person and on the TV screens in the lounge. Food is available outside and most patrons are respectful except for a few parents who cannot control their kids inside. I understand if the weather was nicer, it would be a different story. Interesting approach to seat pricing. Cheapest berm ticket was $9. Most other seating was from $13-18 The real rub is the concessions. $4 for a bottle of water or pop. Basic hot dog was $7. Basic beer was $10 and $15 for craft. In other words. Plan on dropping a minimum of $40-50 per person to attend a game. Unfortunately. Great baseball park. This is one of the better minor league parks I've visited. The wide concourses give you a ton of room so you're not bumping into people. They have a decent selection of craft beers here, better than I expected. Prices on tickets and concessions are very reasonable and there are many areas of the park to explore and many different views to enjoy. I saw the Iowa Cubs take on the Storm Chasers and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's in a suburb of Omaha but not very far outside the city. The parking lot provides tailgating opportunities. The people of Omaha have a great opportunity here to see the top talent in the KC Royals organization display their talents at the AAA level. The game I saw featured many top Royals prospects, including Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer. Also, veteran Ramon Ortiz was the starting pitcher for Iowa. read more

This is a great minor league ballpark, one more befit for the AAA Storm Chasers than, say, a 3/4 scale major league satdium like TD Ameritrade Park. (I'm still sad about Rosenblatt though.) Werner Park may have been built out in the middle of nowhere, but after a few years of successful operations, you can see the suburbs and companion businesses fast encroaching on the area. Aside from your typical hotdogs, peanuts, beer and other staples that go hand-in-hand with America's pass time, Werner Park offers family-friendly attractions like a kids zone (complete with merry-go-round) and a mini-golf course. There are also vegetarian and gluten-free options on the concourse. The Storm Chasers are currently among the best in AAA baseball, and that has trickled up to their parent organization, the Kansas City Royals. Let's all enjoy it while we can. Omaha is lucky to have a successful AAA team and also be the home of the College World Series, even if the two require separate stadiums at opposite ends of the metro area. read more

Perfect ballpark for Omaha! It really likens itself to Kauffman Stadium in many ways. You can tell it's the Royals Triple A team. Decent food, decent team store, lots of family friendly activities, and world class baseball all here in Omaha. The stadium itself is great. Rosenblatt, unfortunately, was just far too big for a triple A baseball team. In Omaha at least. This place is the perfect size. It's small enough that when it's full it sounds like a much bigger stadium with a much bigger crowd. Great concourse, it's easy to walk around here, unlike TD Ameritrade, when it's packed. They have multiple food choices, coming from local places like Valentino's and La Mesa which I can definitely support, as well as serving Nebraska Brewing Company beers, just like Kauffman serving Boulevard. The outfield is a smaller version of Kauffman's "Outfield Experience". It has the Borsheims Diamond where kids can go take a swing, a basketball court, a large outdoor bar, and a huge grassy berm to sit on. I always buy the berm tickets. Also, it's a great place for non-baseball related events. It's a host to a slough of things like concerts, fundraiser, and, wait for it.........Great Nebraska Beer Fest! All in all, great place for those that love baseball, just want to get out and do something, or families that need something for the kids to do. read more

I had the opportunity to check out a Stormchasers game as the boss took us out to a game for our employee appreciation outing. Plenty of parking (I even found free parking to the side of the ballpark), and the staff was friendly. There are a good deal of activities for the kids, including a carousel and mini golf. We paid a little extra for the VIP area, and were treated to an indoor bar, and outdoor seating area with pool tables. Pretty slick spot to take in some of the game while enjoying an Ale Storm, a beer specially brewed by Nebraska Brewing Company for the Stormchasers. The other highlight was the service we had from our seats. An attendant came and took our orders, keeping us full of beer and food so we didn't have to miss any of the action. Went to a Stormchaser's game last night. It was great! The atmosphere at Werner Park is truly family friendly. It is not a large stadium which surprised me at first since I was used to the likes of Rosenblatt and TD Ameritrade Park. However the size is perfect for going to watch a game with friend or family. Went on a Thursday night game. Crowd was a little thin throughout the night and quite a few had left by games end. But, the announcing was great. Food was great. Received some free stuff due to on-field actions and free handouts. Overall I would highly recommend Werner Park fro those looking for a more intimate atmosphere over TD Ameritrade or the like. read more
