Ok,yeah,it's fast food...and I admit I have a LOOOONG history w/ Wendy's Frosty & Fries!! (Back in the'80s {when a Frosty meant only CHOCOLATE} hot fries on a tray-- dipping them in the Frosty just to cool them down!!!) Anyhoo, I have been enjoying the Large Chili combo w/plain baked potato (+unsweet ice tea) since Before it was on their combo menu (thank for simplifying my life;-) Usually a drive-thru purchase, when we are too hungry to fix something once we get home...the kids still enjoy their burgers & chicken nugs,& always share some fries w/me to sustain me til we get home :-D There are the occasional errors, but are ALWAYS corrected promptly when we have time to turn back & tell them. Even if there is a problem we don't catch in the parking lot,a phone call is always answered,& solution provided in a professional manner. I like to pour the Chili over the potato, adding my Cholula hot sauce+ Vermont sharp cheddar= filling, satisfying, & tasty. Also, the discount coupon offer on the back of the receipt makes their Full-size salads an affordable fast option. (It can also be redeemed off a"Large Sandwich"). The seasonal Strawberry Fields salad was a consistently yummy choice this summer. I donate a buck in December for the small Frosty keychain= one free each visit all year :-) perfect size to dip some hot fries! B-) Glad our local Wendy's has been consistently decent for fifteen (wow, 15 O:-) years now. The interior could use some updating but otherwise seems to be kept clean. & Adding the Late Nite Drive-thru hours also bumps up this Nite-Owl's rating to a solid 4 stars, for Fast Food. read more

The Wendy's on 1335 eastern blvd in Essex Md today I went there around 1:55 pm and I waited a long time in the line and when I was finally waited on and got my food and when I walk home because I only live 5 minutes away my food was cold both burger and fries and my fries was overcooked and hard although busy and one cashier never an excuse for cold food but the cashier was nice but good hard and the manager look sad and depressed and look mean , I normally love Wendys food but not sure if I will be back read more

I hadn't been to a Wendy's in several years. hoped the service had gotten better...it did not. Rude cashiers. the last visit the girl hands me my cup by the rim with her bare, ungloved hands. grossed,out, but didn't say anything. Of course there is always an issue with my order. the girl hands me my bag, just turns away.. with no "thank you". when she sees me still standing there she says nastily "what?". I said I'm waiting for my fries. she argues that they are in the bag and proceeds to take everything out of the bag and toss it on counter and points to prove there was one container of fries in there. I said...ok, but where is the other one - I ordered 2. she searches the screen...gives me a mean look and says "2 minutes on fries" and walks away. Wendy's, Wendy's, Wendy's! I'm sure you know you're not the best fast food joint in this town. This location is tucked away in the Cranberry Shopping Center, and there is no quick and easy way to get to it-you've got to go through the center's maze of a lot. One plus is they renovated about two years ago; for years this place looked like a 70's relic. The store itself is brighter and looks better from the outside. We usually use the drive thru-which is notoriously slow. We tried to get a vanilla frosty this time-but there is a 50/59 chance every time we come that they have vanilla. Like lady on the YouTube said-No, not TODAY!! So we settled for chocolate. Come here if you are craving Wendy's. But just know there are better options in Westminster. read more

Placed a mobile order 20 mins before actually getting there and still waited another 30 to get the food. Ordered a Dave's double no pickles and a spicy chicken with everything. Got a Dave's single with everything but lettuce and got a reg chicken sandwich with just lettuce that was cooked to the point where my tooth could've been chipped. I guess I'm thankful they were looking out for my well-being and didn't want me to get salmonella. Manager was snappy at people who didn't say anything--I was scared to ask about my order status because she kept saying "we are just one person, give us a break." I guess Wendy's should hire more people so it's not just "one person" making sandwiches. SMH. Also got a small fry instead of a large but didn't want to wait 50 mins more for them to fix it. read more

I found some documentation online about the franchise and believe that this particular Wendy's may actually be used as an experimental site for absolutely terrible service. I believe that the managers and staff here undergo special training in a Secret Wendy's facility, where they learn to prepare the worst food, inaccurately, taking as long as physically possible. I believe that information from this site goes back to corporate to help them develop a balance between value and customer service ***update*** Attempted to acquire food in a timely fashion from Wendy's again last night for my Daughter, who loves their Kid's Meals (For the Toys). I didn't have it in me to argue so I lowered my head in defeat and pulled into the drive-thru. I am attaching a photo with time stamps so there is some metric value to the amount in which this Wendy's sucks. BONUS: When I went back in to retrieve the ranch they forgot after 22 minutes in the Drive Thru, the Shift Manager actually walked up to the counter to attend to the cash drawer and attempted to walk away from me without asking why I was standing there with a kids meal bag on the counter. read more

I never eat at this Wendy's, but I am a door dasher. It's currently 10:41PM and I've been waiting in the drive thru for 20 minutes. I've been here so long that I am receiving more orders as a sit. The drive thru attendant can be heard yelling at coworkers through the speaker. It's a shit show. Someone needs to shut this place down. I use to go to this place since is the only wendys in town, my 17 year old daughter apply for a job and she got an interview there, but unfortunately we all got infected with COVID-19 so i told her to call and reschedule the interview, the lady that answer her was very rude and told her that she had no time to talk about interview she did not even let my daughter explain her that she was infected and that she was not going to be able to go to that interview, i guess if thats the way they treat future employees, i can't even imagine how they treat employee, not only she is not calling back to reschedule but we are never buying from that place again. read more

Constantly short staffed at this location. It is supposed to be fast food but you end up constantly waiting. Never come here if you are in a hurry. You could drive to Hampstead quicker. I seriously can not recall a time that they haven't had issues moving a line thru or having a super long wait on nuggets. Westminster, Maryland. First time a Wendy's visit has ever been horrible. Took 10 minutes standing there to get an order placed. The cashier was making drive thru orders instead of ringing me up. Empty restaurant, and at least 6 employees in the kitchen yet she was not being a cashier. After I got my mediocre food, the cashier left the register area to stand in a corner of the dining room and played on her phone. Another employee came out and loudly cursed to her about how she was "25 f***ing minutes" over her shift. Disappointed. Filled out the survey and contacted customer service, but wanted to publicly warn any locals to avoid this place. Go elsewhere. Somewhere with employees who care and acknowledge guests, and somewhere with fully cooked nuggets and crispy hot fries. Anywhere but here. read more

My last review for this restaurant was 4 stars because of a lovely young lady who worked the drive through window that day. When we returned a day or so later, we weren't so fortunate. A young lady named Emily was working the drive through window and was in such a hurry (during what seemed like a very slow day) that I had to ask her for virtually everything we needed...(i.e. straws, napkins, ketchup) and she seemed quite irritated or distracted. I have given this particular Wendy's several chances and EVERY SINGLE TIME I go here, they tell me to pull up the yellow line in the drive thru and they will bring me my food. Typically I'm waiting no more than five minutes, but TONIGHT was different. I went here for my lunch break as I usually do and attempted to place my order. They said there is a wait on chicken and beef........,so I asked "what do you have?". They said that they have 3 patties and 1 chicken patty, so I said ok. They told me to pull up to the yellow line and here is the icing on the cake. We are in what they call their waiting area for 17 minutes. 3 cars that were behind us got their food. With very little time left to our lunch break I go inside to get a refund and just go back to work hungry, but it's hard to get a refund when there isn't a cashier in sight. Had to just leave without the food because break time was over. In closing this is hands down some of the worst service I have ever had at any fast food chain. They would have been better off to just put up their closed sign. read more
