I usually love this place and go regularly for carry-out, but have noticed it going downhill within the last 6months-year. One example - The soda bottles were flat (date on the bottle said it expired May 2024), and I ordered one with my meal in October 2024. I ordered the same thing again next time, hoping it was a fluke, and received another expired and flat bottle. I used this "new" old soda as an in-person example to show them the date and explain.... But I was met with deaf ears. There were 5 employees in front of me, but none of them seemed to understand or be concerned with the quality/issue. I was not offered a replacement or different drink. I'm in love. I'm a regular at the original Sushi Q in Elkridge, and a sometimes-er at Sushi Q2 in Owings Mills. The new Westminster location is just as delicious as its predecessors, if not better. The free fried crab appetizer, soup, and cheesecake are always wonderful (and filling--you don't need to pay for a lot of food since you get a good amount on the house!) and we were taken care of very well by our server. Our drinks were brought very fast and our order was taken super quickly, always a plus! We ordered a Spicy RiQ roll and the chicken hibachi and both were hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We cleaned both the plates and ordered some vanilla mochi for dessert, which was also fresh and amazing! This is definitely my new favorite restaurant in Westminster. This place would get a 5 were it not for two things....their spicy "whatever" was nuclear. This is not a problem for me, but makes the menu options slim for my wife...spicy tuna is a staple of lots of good rolls, so when it is overly spicy it means half of your clientele can't appreciate large portions of your menu. The second problem...bigger, but unique to the times we are in...was that they did a great job of spacing out customers at tables, but then let the aisles get packed with people waiting on carry out orders. With people hanging all over our table, we cut our evening short, rushed to pack our sushi up and pay our bill. read more

We recently moved from southeast Baltimore County to Carroll County. Sushi Q5 has quickly become our new favorite Sushi restaurant after trying many others in the surrounding area. The staff are always super friendly and have already recognized us as return customers after only a few visits. The sushi has been awesome each time and the sushi menu is great extensive. We try to get our usual rolls and some new ones off the menu each time we go. My favorite has quickly become the "shrimp hangover soup". It consists of a spicy (but not really) broth, jalapeños, shrimp, noodles, broccoli, onions and mushrooms. Very delicious and the portion is large! Those guys are good but they don't hold a candle to sushi q. Hell, no one does in Carroll county. Amazing tuna, Christmas tree, red dragon and ultimate q are my favorite rolls. Loved what we ordered! I got the unagi don (I really love the sweet sticky rice and the eel portions are plenty!). We also got the hangover soup (spicy!) and we loved the vegetable and shrimp tempura. They had the traditional dipping sauce but they also had a mildly spicy mayo-like dip which also worked perfectly. They gave us a complimentary appetizer of deep-fried imitation crabmeat, cream cheese, and signature sauce (my kids ran through those) and our orders came with salad and miso soup so we were STUFFED!
