horrible food i ordered shrimp and broccoli combo and what a disappointment! i cannot even tell you that what i received was actually shrimp at all considering it did not resemble any shrimp that i've ever seen i'll say that... and not only was my meat unidentifiable, the sauce it was in was disrespectful, this had to be thee worst chinese food i have ever attempted to eat! will never go back or recommend this janky ass dump to anyone! at least not anyone i give a fuck about haha gross nasty ew. waste of my money!! read more

Really pleased to have found this place. Less than half the price of our sit down go to Chinese place up the road and almost as good! The mu shi pork is amazing but I wish they wrapped the pancakes differently so they didn't stick, shrimp toast is fantastic, and the egg fu young is perfect. The dumplings were so-so but our other favorite place has the best so hard to compare. Next time we plan to try the egg rolls, roast pork and other menu items. read more

Good decent Chinese food can't make a spicy dish to save their lives even if you request extra hot. Come on guys add some hot pepper's or chili oil to take it to the next level. Pretty much just white people chines take out and as much as expected in Carroll county. read more

It's ok....not great. Food is usually not ready when it is supposed to be. They usually only have one or two people cooking. Paying for your food is also a challenge due to the barricade they had to set up....which is apparently a direct result of having to deal with the class of some patrons they attract. read more

This Chinese carry out has the best sweet and sour chicken in town. Also they make the best house lo-mein I have ever tried out of all Chinese restaurants I've been to! I got the shrimp and broccoli lunch option that came with pork fried rice. The shrimp was okay but the fried rice was absolutely terrible. Usually in fried rice, I imagine vegetables, egg, the pork....in this is was just orange rice with maybe two very tiny prices of dry pork... maybe it was because it was part of the lunch menu?? Food: the egg rolls are ridiculously good here, general tao's chicken tastes a little funky if I must say, it doesn't taste fresh and it isn't spicy like it should be. The lo mein is great though, I got chicken lo mein and the chicken again wasn't my favorite again not fresh but overall the noodles we great. The Orange Chicken and the Seasame Chicken had the same sauce. Anyone that orders this dish knows that these two dishes don't have the same sauce. The egg drip soup wasn't cooked long enough you could still smell and taste the raw egg that didn't completely cooking. Ordered carryout with the neighbors. They flew (and I think they bought too!), so I'm certainly not complaining, but I've had lots better in this genre. The szechuan string beans and moo shu pork were decent, but the other 4 entrees and appetizers were highly sub-average. On the other hand, when I did a google search looking for their menu before we ordered, I found some reviews on other sites which raved about them. So maybe we just had an off-night? Visited here 3 times while in town for 3 weeks. Very hit and miss. The first time was decent, the second was mediocre, and the last (today) was pretty bad. I phoned in the order today and asked which spicey chicken dish had the peanuts....I hate I can never remember what it's called! When I got back to the hotel and opened it, it was 10 percent chicken, 10 percent carrots, and 80 percent cut up broccoli stems, NO PEANUTS. As if the over abundance of fibrous broccoli stems used as a filler was not bad enough. As I've said before it seems you can not find decent Chinese any more. It almost seems like every carryout place in America orders from the same vendor and has the exact same menu. How does that happen? Thank goodness I have to go back to the Boston area again in September.....I'll get to visit a great sit down place in China town there. See that review. read more

Meh... edible... The hot and sour soup was too sour, like too vinegary. The egg rolls were a bit over fried, oily and chewy. Perhaps stale and refried. The lo mein was decent but the tofu with veggies was less than pedestrian. Boyfriend wanted to give it a try but we are never going back there. Forbidden City is the bomb! read more

This place is basically a three minute drive from my house. It's typical Chinese food, but the prices are good and the food is good. It's pretty popular in this area, so I would recommend calling your order in. I have probably gotten food here 25 + times and they have never messed my order up. There is another place up the street but for the same order it costs a lot more money and they give you less food. read more

Decent food if you are looking for cheap and greasy. Had a bad experience with service and won't be back. Was told it would be 15 minutes and after an hour there were still tons of people in front of me. Even as I was standing in the shop after all that time they were still taking orders and telling people it would be 15 minutes when they knew they were busy and it would be much longer. We decided to try First Wok after we learned Golden Palace closed. What a mistake. Never have I had more flavorless Chinese food. The fried rice was awful. Yellow rice with a few chunks of almost raw onion, a few peas and a few chunks of roast pork (no flavor) and that was it. It didn't taste like fried rice at all. Sure, the portions are generous (the container was overstuffed) but who cares? We threw most of it out anyway. The shrimp lo mein was ok, soft noodles and a brown sauce but very few shrimp and, again, not much flavor. The eggrolls were fair, quite greasy. My pork egg fu young (yeah I like old fashioned Cantonese Chinese food) was generous, but no flavor (I guess I should be thankful it wasn't overly salty) and the sauce was dark brown, on the side and - yet again - boring. My husband got a megaload of sweet and sour chicken and the nugget order, he said, would put McDonald's to shame...and they were crispy and hot and greasy...but the sauce. GROSS. Dark red, hot goop with no pineapple, green pepper, carrot or anything in it. Totally disgusting, tbh. Will try Forbidden City next time and hope fervently that we find a decent Chinese restaurant in Westminster. read more
