Consistently good food and staff is always friendly. We like the option to have both Chinese food and Sushi.

Food is always good and they offer large servings. I can only speak to the Chinese food. I haven't had their sushi.

We love Beijing Palace! By far the best carry out Chinese in the area. Everything we have tried has always been amazing.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have the best Kung Pao chicken! They are always nice, too.

The food is always excellent and the owners are very nice. They make the best beef pad Thai that I have ever had.

I probably won't be eating here again. We found hair in multiple dishes. So their cooks probably don't wear hairnets.

TL;DR: Excellent service from a kind, hardworking owner -- and the food is genuinely good. Don't…read morelet the outside fool you; this is a great Chinese takeout spot. I'm writing this to help clear up the negative first impression the exterior might give. The windows only look dirty because they're covered in thick plastic. I drive between Baltimore County and Gettysburg often, and needed Christmas Day takeout. After reading the reviews (better than any in Gettysburg), I called on Christmas Eve to confirm they'd be open -- they were. Their menu is limited, but the prices are reasonable. I called in my order on the road; it took a couple tries to get through, and when I did, the woman let me know it would be a 40-minute wait because they were slammed. She was polite, repeated my order back, and I headed that way. When I arrived, the parking lot was quiet, but once inside I could clearly see how busy they really were from all the foot traffic in and out and lots of bags with each order. The restaurant was clean, and the woman working was warm, apologetic about the wait, and literally running back and forth to help everyone. She double-checked my bags, noticed a missing rice, and rushed to grab it. For three large entrees, egg rolls, and soup, my total was about $45 -- plus she offered a free 2-liter and pointed me to sauces and utensils. By the time I got to my parents' house 20 minutes later, the food was still piping hot. The egg drop soup was exactly what I hoped for, the egg rolls were tasty, and my chicken with broccoli was solid (I added some hot sauce for extra kick). My parents enjoyed their General Tso's -- plenty of sauce, mild-to-medium heat, and tender chicken. I took menus for myself and my parents; it may not be the closest option for them, but it's easily one of the better choices when I'm driving through. Friendly, appreciative service + clean space + good food = I'll absolutely be back.

Portions for lunch special were nice size. The flavor is a little less than average. And lacking meat and vegetables. Very plain. Unfortunately about half way through my wonton soup I started to get ill. Not sure what that was and I'm not pointing fingers.. but I do not recommend this place. I think it worth the drive. Going somewhere else.

My wife and I had initially intended to dine at a Mexican restaurant which we'd enjoyed in the past several doors down, however learned that they are closed on Sundays. We visited at approximately 3:30pm on an early December Sunday. There were about a half dozen tables occupied and we were seated at the booth of our choice within a minute. The servers were promptly and attentive. We were provided beverages and a bowl of tasty Wonton Crispies which were addictive! For my meal I selected the Szechuan Tofu with steamed rice and a bowl of Wonton Soup which were delicious but could only eat about half of my plated (thus shall enjoy it tomorrow whilst at work for lunch.) A person who was either the manager or owner came by to check on us and provided boxes (including for what remained of our second-floor serving of Wonton Crispies). We were given the check. Prices are reasonable and I'll gladly pay for quality, particularly for something which will traverse my innards. I recommend this highly if you are in the environs of Westminster, MD and fancy Chinese cuisine. Oh, they have what seems to be a full bar, however I didn't notice a buffet setup.

I was told Forbidden City was the best Chinese food in Carroll County. Oh, boy. I hope that is not…read morethe case. I ordered takeout. The egg rolls were greasy. The seafood in the Happy Family was chewy and tough. The vegetables were soggy and overcooked. I suspect they were straight from a can. Very disappointing. My order was ready quickly. I guess that's a plus. And while I didn't eat in, I did pick up my order so I saw the dining room, and it looked nice. Maybe the food is better when you dine in.

I've been a customer since the day they opened . Maybe…read morethe bus boy was cooking. Egg roll: bland shredded cabbage w/no shrimp no egg no seasoning, wrapped in cardboard. Shrimp in Lobster Sauce: Thin watery disgusting gruel w/old over cooked shrimp. Spare ribs: nothing but fat and gristle. I have never gotten food from them that was so AWFUL. So very sad, we used to love this restaurant. When I called and spoke to someone they knew immediately I was a frequent customer but seemed totally uninterested in lack of quality coming out of the kitchen.

Went for lunch on a Saturday in March with a friend. We both ordered the Bento Box lunch as i have…read moremany many many times previously. The food is ok, except the soup is always cold and i always ask repeatedly for the soup to be heated. On this visit, there was a charge of $1.75 on the bill for each soup. We have never been charged for soup with the lunch before. I asked the server and he said that the only soup that is no charge is Miso soup. The hot and sour soup is extra. That is NOT the way the menu reads and is incorrectly and confusingly presented. We have never ever been charged for soup previously in maybe 50 visits. I asked for the owner and she took a very hard line that there has always been a charge for soup but admitted that the regular server had failed to charge for it. AND there are two soups that are no charge...The Miso soup AND the Egg Drop soup which is contrary to what the server said. With the confusion over the way the menu is written and many prior visits with a different billing, i would have expected the owner to respond in a more good regular customer service manner. A line was drawn in the sand and i will never return. The old saying... Treat a customer well and they will tell a few people... Treat a good customer poorly and they will tell everyone.
