Order Orange Chicken from here all the time, the wait time can be long, but the customer service is always great. Mr. Lee as many others have said is always kind and open to talk with customers when given the chance. The environment feels Chinese, if it is authentic or not, I can't say but they are clearly a strong member of the community with pictures of cards and celebrations up on their wall. If you sit close enough to the Kitchen or come in when it's almost empty you can hear them speaking Mandarin. read more

The Manor was very nice looking inside, but the food was the worst Chinese food that I ever ate. There were no fried shrimp, the grilled chicken was not cooked through and was dark thigh meat,terrible and chewy. They did not have sweet ice tea, there was zero beef at the hibachi grill. Most prepared foods were not cooked through hot. There was not one single thing that I tried that was good. I had lunch here 3 years ago and it was very good. This place has changed for the worst!! Now I know why the place was near empty. I have eaten at quite a few Chinese buffets and this is one that I will NEVER return to. Even the orange slices and watermelon were soft and dated. They had some whole fried fish that should have been thrown in the garbage, it was disgusting looking. Very little beef and pork to eat. The sweet and sour sauce was so thin, it was like water. Duck sauce, try finding some.....little packets hiding near the cookies. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. The best I can sum it up is that they were using the cheapest ingredients available. I would not eat at The Manor again if my meal was for free! All in all disgusting cheap food that is NOT WORTH THE $$$$. read more

Why do you charge $2 more, on everything, if DoorDash is picking up the order? If I pick it up it's $8.25 for dumplings. DoorDash, $10.25. Plus, a $.49 delivery fee. Foods not that good to pay 30% more for delivery. Don't say, DD sets the prices. NO THEY DO NOT! read more

I walked on Mother's Day at five o'clock. The place was completely empty. But the phone was ringing of the hook. I ordered Togo and they said my order would be ready in about 15 minutes. My order came out in time and the lobby was full of people picking up orders. To the point they did not know who ordered what. The poor girl was literally overwhelmed. My order was correct and hot. Now flavor was a disappointment. With the good reviews of this place I had higher expectations. I found to standard.. and nothing to wow me . I will return here and definitely try something else. Great Lunch spot for my wife and I. We dropped in around noon on Friday and place was very pleasant and we were immediately greeted walking thru the door by the owner. Our waitress was very nice, she took our order right away and we got our drinks and apps very quick. Shortly after finishing our soup our food came piping hot and very tasty!! Came back for a sit-down lunch with the family and we ordered different items from the menu this time. We got the Singapore noodles (request for it to be less spicy so it will just have the right amount of "kick"), hunan lamb (very good and we requested the non-spicy version), the salt shrimp was the crowd favorite, and we got their egg drop soup and hot and sour soup, as well as the sweet and sour chicken. Had lunch here on Saturday with family; and ordered out tonight. Both occasions the food was top notch. Good quality, well prepared and delicious. Ordered egg drop soup and it's as good as I had in Chinatown NYC. House LoMein doesn't skimp on the protein. Shrimp fried rice is light and not oily. Shrimp with lobster sauce uses the larger shrimp. Good looking restaurant as far as nice dining room, and its clean. The General Tsos was presented well. About 6 large pieces of chicken. I did not like it though as the chicken had such a crunchy shell that it was actually hard. The General Tsos had a strange sweet taste different then all other I have had elsewhere. I had come here for the Luncheon Special that comes with a listed entree, white or fried rice and a choice of soup. I went with Chicken with Cashew Nuts, fried rice and egg drop soup. The soup was exactly as expected which is good! Fried rice was light and fluffy, not over sauced -- a unique attribute not found elsewhere. The entree was good. The chicken was not overcooked, the sauce was good and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The key takeaway here I want to call out is the excellent and spacious atmosphere. This place looks and feels COZY. They even have a bar with booze! One more thing to add, Jack was fantastic and extremely personable and friendly. I enjoyed speaking to him. We ordered from this establishment after driving past it a few times. As 90's kids we were super excited to see it is a sit down place with the zodiac paper placemats and crunchies for the table. We were let down by the food. The sushi smelled like the fish was super old and we were apprehensive about eating it. An hour and a half for delivery. I called to find out the status after an hour and some change and was told that the driver left 15 minutes ago. The driver arrived 17 minutes later and the food that was supposed to be hot was ice cold--I had to microwave it!! I called to get a refund and was told that the driver would return and take everything and issue a refund. I said no, that I wanted only a refund for the hot food. The excuse was that they were crazy busy. You don't try to sell customers that BS. Especially when the bill comes to $40. I will NEVER return here, and I will be telling all my friends. read more

Quite literally the worst meal I've had in years. I've been here in the past, several years ago and everything was fine. Perhaps they have a new cook. We ordered a sushi roll with shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, and avocado. The shrimp was gross, tough and overcooked. My daughter ordered fried shrimp, again gross. She took a bite or two. I ordered the orange chicken. I've never seen anything like it, the serving was massive, and each piece of chicken was shaped like a small baseball. There was hardly any meat, it was all batter, and it was gross. I cut through the batter and ate a few pieces of chicken. At least the two pieces of broccoli were good. I felt really bad for the staff, the service was good, and I think she knew we were not enjoying the meal. We took the leftovers home, which filled two large boxes, and I immediately tossed it in the trash. I should work up the nerve to tell them how I really feel, and not waste the styrofoam and time to package the left overs. This was truly an awful meal. read more

Nice and personable. Food always delicious. The white tuna roll is my go to. In the hot and sour soup is delicious.

We ordered an appetizer of octopus and a seafood Mix. It was all ice cold and had no flavor. We then ordered the lamb and General Tsos chicken. The lamb was chewy and the chicken was mostly breading with dark meat. We ordered three different drinks they all came out the same color and tasted the same. This is a great restaurant! I had the orange beef while the other people with me had moo sho beef and house sizzling plate. Each of us raved about our dinners my orange beef was perfectly crispy and well flavored my sister in laws meal was spicy goodness and my brother was in heaven eating his moo sho. Living in Manchester, there were not many options for Chinese food before China Manor came along. Chinese food is at the high end of what you can expect of local Chinese carryout. Beef and broccoli is delicious, egg drop soup is great, egg rolls are also very good. You'll find all of the standard fare on the menu and the food is dependably good. The Sushi bar is also very good. They offer a selection of specialty rolls, as well. Try the Sweetheart Roll that is not on the menu. We've always been very pleased with anything that we order off of the sushi menu. We've only eaten in the restaurant a few times, mostly we will get carryout. Always a treat when we eat at China Manor. I usually get a sushi roll for starters and end with the Orange Chicken (white meat only!) or Sweet and sour lunch meal. The tea, chips and soup is always fresh and delicious. Mr. Lee is usually seen buzzing around and stops by with something for my wife and I to sample. Most of the staff can barely speak a word of English and you will spend your time using your hands to point at menu items and to ask for things like extra napkins, box to go, more water etc.. but we love it! Best Chinese food option in North Carroll area by far!! I've eaten in the restaurant, carryout, and delivery multiple times. You can always get a seat very quickly with prompt service when dining in. My boyfriend and I fight over their szechuan lo mein. So when we order we each get our own serving. My favorite Chinese carryout food is general tso chicken. I think their's is a bit too sweet copared to other places, but they definitely use white meat which I like. China manor is bit on the pricey side especially if you get delivery, but it's our go to Chinese carryout in the area. Whoever works the front is always so friendly when I'm picking up. read more
