That was some kind of experience. Holy Cow. Passing through Lafayette on our way to Chicago on a Saturday and decided to stop here for lunch. Hadn't had Wendy's in a while and it sounded pretty good. When we walked in the dining room was pretty well destroyed. Dirty tables, the drink station was wrecked, and a couple trash bins were pushing maximum density. We got in line to order and it then became apparent what the reason for the catastrophe in the dining room was. Not only did they only have one register open, but that cashier was also tasked with taking care of the dining room. He was also tasked with refilling drink cartridges in the drink machine. I actually felt sorry for this guy, because during a Saturday lunch he was taking care of everything in the front of the house while a not insignificant amount of staff roamed around in the back. During the entirety of our visit he was the only person to come out from behind the counter. My wife ordered a salad and I got my usual: A Single (no modifications) with fries and a drink. We were third in line to order. The poor guy on the register was pleasant, but you could also tell that he was being run ragged. Our food was delivered in about ten minutes and was delivered accurately. My burger was rather sloppily assembled, so I had to fix that before I could eat it. The fries were ok. Remember a few years ago when Wendy's said they improved their fries and that you'd like them more than McDonald's? Yea...not the case. To add insult to injury, as we sat eating our food a bus pulled in to the parking lot. Fortunately we were about done, but I started to feel even more sympathy for the young man on the register as he was alone, out front, doing the best he could. read more

Spent $31.00 on food and drinks. After sitting down to eat, my 13 year old son asked he could go to the counter and get a cup for water to chase his frosty. He was told no, store policy. I then went to the counter and was refused a cup for water from the fountain dispenser. I found it a terrible policy. Condiment counter only contained dispensable ketchup and lids and straws. It would appear that this franchisee group doesn't really uphold Wendy's high standards. Felt like we really inconvenienced them for asking for water. I will never patronize this Wendy's again. good attitudes for staff, but pricing isn't on par with wendy's national prices. paid 6.99 + tax for a meal i regularly get for $4 + tax! the fries were refried and overly crunchy and burnt. if i'm paying a premium for the meal, id love some freshly made food. again the service was good. read more

Fast and efficient Wednesday morning service, wish the great drive-thru people were paid a living wage! I noticed inside was still close nearing nine but only wanted that new pumpkin spice cold brew which I learned to love the weekend before along with the pumpkin frosty. Had a quick conversation at the order till then even quicker first window to pickup, glad they do smartphone payments, I was off! This is now my favorite cold brew, rich, creamy, smooth, and full of autumn happiness taste bud trips. I wish they offered dairy free version but I do need to keep away from all the calories! read more

I got chicken and fries to go and when I got my bag, my fries and my chicken were spilled in my bag. My chicken was warm and my fries were perfectly hot and my lemonade was very tasty. I generally don't review fast food places unless their exceptional or just totally horrible. This is the BEST Wendy's I've EVER been to. They were super kind and respectful. Our food came out fast and FRESH. Their fries were salted perfectly and my chicken sandwich SO hot and fresh. So good. We went 2.12.2023 at 2:30 pm. Everyone working at that time deserves a raise. We stopped for a quick lunch. The computers were down so they were taking orders by hand. It was slow but all employees were doing their best and the attitudes were wonderful. They were patient with each other and getting it done as quickly as possible. Great job! read more

Props to this Wendy's. Dropped in on our road trip back to Chicago and the crew was hustling in keeping everyone fed while also being diligent with the cleanup in the dining room (due to the Coronavirus). Manager continually reminded the crew on the increased emphasis on hygiene. read more

Friendly service, clean dining room, and the food is everything Wendy's promises....but there was that little extra on this visit. My kid got sick in the car so we pulled over at this Wendy's to get cleaned up and take a break. Laura, the manager, and her team checked on us, provided extra towels to clean the car seat, and even gave us a little toy to cheer us up. I, too, do not see why this Wendy's on Northgate Drive near Lafayette has received such poor overall ratings. Coming from the north, it's just a traffic-light left off I-65 and there's a large gas station (Phillips 66) across the street. The food was good -- my traveling companion and I each had a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and a chocolate Frosty, and we split an order of fries. Cheap and filling, and the place was clean and staff friendly. A good way to duck the relative hurly of West Lafayette a couple of exits to the south. read more

The young lady that takes orders through the drive through is so anxious to speak over the top of the customer, she misses crucial details about the order. Then, she acts indignant as hell when asked to correct the mistake. This isn't a one-off occurrence. I've actually made a game out of it. She's worked there for many months on the lunch shift. I keep coming back to see if she's still working there. I speak slowly and succinctly but nearly every time, she says, "Small, medium or large?" and totally misses details of my order. She has about a 50/50 track record of getting my order correct. #totalfail read more

We pulled off the highway because the rain was so bad we couldn't see to drive. We decided to go to Wendy's and go through the drive thru. We parked our car and ate in the parking lot because it was raining so hard that we would get drenched if we left the car. We sat in the car for about 15-20 min for the rain to stop until an employee came up to us and told us we had to leave. We have been traveling from out of state and I just think that was extremely uncalled for as we were just waiting for the rain to pass by. Worst Wendy's ever! You'll wish you went to McDonalds. I don't know what was wrong with my food, but it was not good. I only ate half of my chicken sandwich. Service was chaotic with employees bickering with one another. Both ketchup dispensers were empty. Employees were bagging food on the front counter and unwrapping sandwiches at the front counter to see what was bagged and what was not. I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to happen. read more

It'd take a lot for me to want to bother to review a fast food restaurant. This was literally the worst quality of food I've ever had. The two junior bacon cheeseburgers I ordered around 7PM tasted like they were days old. Imagine getting fast food for lunch and then reheating it in the microwave for dinner - It would taste better than the sandwiches I received. They tasted very old and nasty. I've never had a fast food sandwich taste this bad before. I would suggest not serving old food. Or, if this was "fresh" food, I'd implement some sort of quality control because this can't be up to par with Wendy's. read more
