Love this little time capsule! Drive up window service with homemade root beer. The root beer is served in icy mugs! The waitress Jayden was fantastic! Super sweet and attentive.

Talk about hot dogs and yum! I have been meaning to come to Dog N Suds for way too long and after finally going this afternoon, I am happy to announce that it is worth going to. Similar to a Sonic, you have the option to drive up into a parking spot and order your meal and have it brought out to your car. This is not my favorite way to eat, but for those who enjoy that, Dog N Suds is the place for you in the Greater Lafayette area. If that doesn't strike your fancy, they have a little pavilion spot for you to sit and eat at if you'd prefer, which is what I will probably do in the future. The food is what you'd expect. It wasn't mind-blowing or anything, but it was enjoyable for what we wanting and expecting. The service was prompt too in ordering and coming to get your tray if you are eating from your car. Now get out there and enjoy a tasty hot dog and some delicious root beer while it's hot as heck out here in the Midwest.

Always a fave when I am able to stop in at one of these. Nostalgia from when I was little with my parents. Had the kraut dog, which was wonderful. The breaded mushrooms disappointed. Soggy and lacking in any flavor. The root beer float stole the show as always

I've been wanting to actually go to a Dog-N-Suds drive in for awhile. I've drunk their bottled root beer a lot for a good portion of my life now and it's one of my favorites. So when we were visiting Lafayette, Indiana at Purdue for UC/Purdue game I saw we were close to one and we had to go try it. It's actually still an old school drive in. We pulled up, read the menu. Hit a button on the speaker, a girl took our order. Then she ran out on a tray, asked me to roll my window down a decent amount and stuck the tray with all our yummy food on it on my window. We ordered a Coney Dog basket and two super Root Beer Floats. Easily the best Root Beer Floats we've ever had. Big frosted mugs. Pure perfection. The Coney was super good too. I actually liked the chili on the Coney a lot. The crinkle fries that came with the basket were typical crinkle fries. They weren't bad at all they just...were crinkle fries. We flipped the switch on the speaker and the girl came back out and got our tray. Then we headed back to Cincy with some delicious food in our stomachs. Next time we're back I'll defiantly be stopping back and hitting up Dog-N-Suds again.

First time here and it was fast and really good! Only complaint is that the root beer had almost no carbonation which was a bummer but still had good flavor. The burgers and hot dogs are simple which makes them delicious. Will definitely come back!

This time I got a burger and root beer. This isn't fancy food, this is country cooking at it's finest. The root beer is amazing. I should have asked about a root beer float, next time. You walk it and sit where ever you can. It it a long counter that wraps around and the wait staff walk inside it. The fries are yummy, and the burger was perfect for what I needed a solid meal since I hadn't eaten in almost 9 hours. Yep sounds like a personal problem. But hey at least the food here has been perfect both times. Maybe next time I will buy a shirt or at least some root beers to go with me. My burger was a true knife and fork meal. At least I am too old to be wearing my chili all over my beard and shirt. Highly recommend if in the area and it is only 5 miles off the interstate. Drive in and enjoy a yummy meal.

We sat outside since the dogs were with us. The seats were uncomfortable and extra cold with the plastic benches in a lattice design . Today was a special occasion and they did zero to help celebrate even though they said they would. The wait to be seated took an extremely long time. The rating is more 3 and a half than 4 (especially given this latest visit) but I tend to be generous overall if possible.

I'm from the Chicagoland area and I'd say I've been fortunate enough to have amazing Mexican food. But this place ranks one of the highest in my book. And it's in central fricken INDIANA??? Idc. Absolutely the best place in town. Period. Not to mention the service is perfect. The team there is always greeting you with a smile, and it seems they really remember their customers and people. Gotta love that kind of hospitality in a town that notoriously lacks good service. These guys truly know how to go the extra mile and make your week UPDATE: I tried their flaming hot Cheeto birria bombs two days ago and I haven't been able to stop thinking about them. Finding your way to the restaurant with all the construction in 2025 sucked though, so be aware of that. There were 7 of us, tired and grumpy from the rainy Purdue Game, rolling in at about 9pm, ready to get some real food for dinner. Fortunately, we were seated right away. We got chatting and enjoyed looking around at the fascinating and delightful pub style decor. The history of the restaurant and its owners is on the back of the menu and is a great and heartwarming read. I ordered the regular size portion of corned beef and cabbage with mashed potatoes and a slice of deliciously dense Irish bread. My bf got a pint of cider and Irish stew with a slice of Irish bread. The table also split an order of pub chips and at the end, a slice of Irish Bailey's cheesecake. The cheesecake is a must get!! My bf paid our bill which was about $40, which is a great price for the large quantity of yummy Irish food we enjoyed. I would love to go back here anytime we are in town.
