A2. Seafood Pancake

Heard a lot of good things about about this place, decide to visit on Friday night. The restaurant was packed, but they still managed to bring in our food really fast. The service was above and beyond, they even split our leftover hotpot for us in the containers! The food was very legit and delicious. Love the seafood pancake, definitely will come again just for this! The environment and the vibe is nice and comfortable. You can see that everyone is happy to be here and enjoy the experience. Good job!

Was in town for a short time to take my Purdue student out to eat. He lives too far to walk here easily which was perfect for the evening. The decor is sparse. The tables and chairs were not that comfortable which just means they can get you in and out I suppose. The food was very good and we loved trying new foods. The spicy Pork... rice on bottom of the bowl and topped with egg was our favorite. The dumplings were really tasty dipped in a red spicy sauce. "Yum" all around I know my student will be bringing a few of his friends who miss international home-cooked foods.

I make SURE to stop by kimchi restaurant every time I'm in the area. I usually order their Kimchi Jiggae which never fails, but decided to try their hotpot recently which did not disappoint. I thought the hot pot which was meant to serve two (for $37) was very generously portioned. We barely got halfway through it all and so we left with plenty of leftovers. Service is always amazing and I just cannot recommend this place enough.

Best Korean place in Lafayette, genuine Korean flavors and energy. Come here at least once a week!

nice ambiance. there were a ton of purdue students eating here. service was averagely good. my mackerel was tasty. there was a sign i think indicated you might have to pay for banchan refills but we didn't ask for any so i'm not sure. overall pretty good

Came here for the first time on a Saturday night early around 530 and luckily were seated immediately as it was not full. I also do not think that they take reservations as I checked. However by the time we left it was getting busy and there were a lot more people. The menu has some very traditional Korean dish staples which was great to see. Portions were fair if not more generous for what you ordered. It was great to see a lot of Koreans in the restaurant because it helps me understand the level of authenticity of the recipes and the cooking. I would definitely come back again however they also do take out which I would gladly do because I am close by. Our server this evening was very nice and very helpful because we had a challenging time distinguishing between the two chicken noodle and chicken udon soups on the menu.

Kimchi Korean has exceptional service. The staff is professional and the environment is cute and feels at home. I have only eaten here once and I was blown away by the meal that I ordered. It tasted amazing and came out hot and fresh. I will be back for more! Highly recommend!

Shit

The intestine hot pot has shit inside. We talked to the manager about this her attitude was arrogant and refuse to replace the dish with another one.

Top left; spicy squid Bottom: spicy seafood udon (The other two were complimentary dishes - pickled vegetables and a type of miso soup).

First Korean spot I've tried in the greater Lafayette area and I was not disappointed. I haven't had the chance to visit the restaurant yet given the current COVID-19 situation, but we had food delivered via GrubHub. I'm a pescatarian so these are the dishes I tried: - spicy pancakes: this is a staple Korean dish for (I get it pretty much every time I go out for Korean food). 5/5 - spicy squid: 5/5 - spicy seafood udon noodles: 3/5 We also got 2 small complimentary dishes: boiled broccoli with some pickled vegetables and a type of miso soup. Both were fantastic! Although all the dishes we ordered were labelled as spicy, it's not an overbearing kind of heat. I felt it was just the right amount (for me personally). Portions are reasonable for the prices. They have a good variety of seafood, vegetarian and non-veg items on the menu. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Keep up the great work. On a side note: the reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because all the items were delivered in non-recyclable containers/plastic ware/ styrofoam packaging.

Giving this place a 4 star considering there aren't many Korean options around this area and this place definitely appeals to those seeking the "home cooked" experience. The ambience overall at this place was just normal with a focus on cleanliness and attentive service. The food itself was good, meats all cooked well, though felt the spicy rice cake was a bit undercooked. Additionally, the choice of cheese was non traditional with my expectation (mixed shredded vs mozzarella) If you're looking for a homey Korean meal, Kimchi would be an option worth checking out!

We highly recommend this restaurant. You can get authentic Korean food at Kimchi Restaurant always.

Oh my YUM! A great little Korean spot open late enough to stop by after picking up the child from camp. We got the duk bok ki, mul neng myun, bibimbop and the bulgogi. All so delicious. And the service was so nice. The bathroom was clean. I'm just very happy to have taken this little adventure. ^_~

Everything was absolutely deliciously. With an entree you also receive the fun small vegetable dishes to share. Will definitely be back!

This place is great for groups. We were seated in a booth and we were greeted by our server right away. He did a great job of explaining the different options of what to order. The food was excellent! The hot bar & vegetable/salad bar were excellent! They had of bunch of different "appetizer" type options on the hot bar. However there was so much food with the KBbq that we were actually disappointed that we wasted stomach space on the hot bar (eventhough the food was good!). The hot pot was great & the broth had such great flavor. The KBbq was amazing! We really loved all the different cuts of meat for the grill! The short ribs were a fav & there's more than enough food for the table so everyone leaves more than full! It's also great that eventhough this place is busy & set up well for groups, it's not overly loud so you can still carry on a normal volume level conversation with others at your table! Ktown is a favorite for sure!

There are carnival type games and other distractions to pass the time. When seated your table has a large stove surface in the middle where you will either be doing BBQ or hot pot cooking. The menu is straightforward and easy to choose your option. The whole table has to choose the same option (BBQ or hot pot) so discussion might be helpful before the waiter arrives. Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!
