This is a long overdue review for Water Shack. I stumbled upon this place a few years ago when I…read morewas craving a no frills mom & pop style burger. To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream. Love this type of no-frills, unassuming place with very friendly staff and serves up some delicious food!

On 6/23/25, I purchased and received an Overnight Oats box that had a "best by 6/24/25" date. I opened it the night of 6/23/25 and found a grey mess that tasted borderline alcoholic. You know when you leave ripe fruit out for way too long and it basically ferments? Keep in mind these oats went straight from their fridge to mine and remained cold the whole time, with a few minutes gap in between. I even asked someone else to taste it without prompting the issue, and they asked if it had gone bad. I immediately left a question here on Yelp asking what they do when someone receives food that's gone bad before the "best by" date. Today, I find that Yelp removed my question. I would've been happy with a refund or a swap, but instead someone silenced this (in my opinion) harmless question. Mistakes happen, I was simply looking for a solution from this business, which I guess you will never get. I believe the question was on topic and would help others who encounter something similar down the road. No one is perfect, but erasure of someone pointing out a mistake is not acceptable, and for that, this business deserves a 1 star.

It was very busy when we visited, so some of the tables were a little messy and hadn't been cleaned yet, which was understandable. The staff, however, were very sweet, friendly, attentive, and provided great service. The chicken fingers were crispy, hot, and very juicy, not dry at all. What I especially liked was that they weren't overly salty. The seasoning was just right and very easy to enjoy. I ordered the 3 Finger Combo, while my husband chose the Sandwich Combo. Everything tasted great. Since everything is made with boneless chicken, after eating for a while it can feel a little heavy, but overall it was still very delicious. My protein bowl was great -- the carne was cooked well, fresh ingredients. The food came out quickly, and the restaurant itself was very clean, which I always appreciate. We also tried the churro -- absolutely delicious -- and the tamarind drink, which was refreshing and came with a free refill. The highlight of our visit was the employee working that day; he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond. Honestly, he deserves a raise! The chicken tenders are actually ginormous. Absolutely huge, juicy, and covered in a crunchy breading. I will say that the mild was the perfect spice level for me- I think they skew a bit spicy.
