The DRIVE THRU LINE IS ALWAYS LONG even when it isn't. It could be 3 cars or 10 cars you will still wait forever. Going inside won't change the outcome. You get inside and they are cursing and talking, discussing smoking each other out and who is currently not getting along at the Wendy's. How they hate the managers and the manager on duty is even discussing this. The person taking your order CAN NEVER HEAR. Several people have come inside that have had things missing from their order that were originally in the drive thru. They keep talking about "faggies" when referring to each other. RUDE and discrimination. The manager just told the employee he will fuck him up during their conversation. They can't wait to get outside to smoke. BTW I am still waiting for my order that will be incorrect when I get it. I'll just start driving to a different location that isn't near my house. Maybe once every 5 times I get hot food that is correct..... *15 mim later and I am still waiting* I've said something to the staff at this point. I've heard about how much they make and how one person could never make more than the other. I've hear about who has a shitty baby mom and baby dad. I've heard about how the Wendy's is trash and they hate their jobs.. WHERE IS MANAGEMENT *5 more minutes and now I'm being hit on and told if I give a number my order will be faster next time read more

Clearly you have to look at reviews when going to a fast food restaurant. This experience was so bad I HAD to leave a review. It took almost 30 minutes for me to get my food. The line for the drive thru was long so I went inside. After finally ordering my food I get in the car to a luke warm burger and a hard cookie. Not to mention the cashier was very rude to the people in front of me. They have no sense of urgency and clearly don't care how long you wait. Never going to this location again. read more

horrible service , super slow , didn't ring up the right stuff then overcharged me and was super rude and they had no lemonades or frostys ? that's what wendy's is known for? grrrr not happy & sweet tea sucks butt read more

By FAR the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. Possibly my worst fast food experience ever. What a joke. Waited 15 minutes just to get to the order screen with only two cars in front of me in line. One of them got tired of waiting and drove off. Wish I had done the same. At the order screen I had to repeat myself 3 times, and correct her each time. Then another 10 minutes in line (watched them screw up the order of the person in front of me and have to fix it). Then at the food window I could hear them talk about the orders like it was their first day on the job. "No that's the son of baconator, he ordered the baconator" Guess what? They still have me the son of baconator. So they charged me an extra two bucks for the garbage. Got home and opened the baconator and the patties were falling apart, sauce was smeared all over the side, truly awful. I truly don't understand how they can afford to keep the doors open. It's clear from the other reviews that this is a recurring issue. read more

ordered on their app to avoid the drive thru line, however the doors were locked where I couldn't pickup food.

The worst service. 2 customers ahead of me I waited 20 minutes. There were at least 8 people working behind the counter. I have no idea why they are so slow. 1 person on the register. I finally left...never got to order. read more

DON'T STOP HERE. We waited in the drive thru for 20+ minutes. Told they had to check to see if they had potatoes. Huh? We were then given a flat soda at the window, then told "we have no coke products, I don't know why they let you order that." Then the lady at the window said they had no spoons (for chili), and no napkins. I BLAME THE MANAGEMENT. Felt bad for the employees. Worst Wendy's ever. The higher-ups should be reading these reviews. read more

Every time I try to give this location a chance, it's always a HORRIBLE experience/service. Tonight I decide to stop in (drivethru). Ordered my food. Young man who took my money-awesome he was great. Guy who gave me the food-seemed like he was high. I pulled off, checked my food...WRONG (as in every time I try to patronize here). I back up, at this point, I DONT WANT ANY FOOD. JUST MY MONEY BACK. He yells for manager. Me: I just want my money back I don't want any of the food. Manager: yelling "I'm not opening the drawer for that. I'll just give her money out of my pocket. How much was it? I'm waiting. Manager yells again: I mean I could've just re-made the food for u Me: nope don't want it. Just want my money back. He disappears. I was about to call police. He reappears with the money. Manager: have a blessed day SARCASTICALLY I didn't even look at him at all. Will NEVER come back. I'm COMPLETELY DONE WITH THIS LOCATION read more

The food is good, though I always get the impression that's depite their best efforts. I never use Drive Thru's (a waste of gas, plus walking in and standing in line is usually faster) so I can't comment on that. Update: I came her about a month ago with my wife. The burgers were very salty. Came here today and found the burgers less salty but still more than I'd have liked. In addition, the Frosty was gritty, like the mix had been watered down and the result was full of ice. (Change in management?) Anyway, while I generally like Wendy's, I won't be returning to this particular location. read more

There is nothing "fast" about this fast food service. Completely horrible service. We were the fourth customers in line at the counter so it didn't seem like it would take that long to get service. Completely wrong. After several minutes of waiting, they had only served two customers. Frustrated, we left and opted for the drive-thru. The drive-thru was no better. I had ordered five items but the cashier was obviously unable to keep up; only two items displayed on the screen. I had a question for the cashier and she was unable to answer that. I gave up and said I'd order at the window. I ordered at window #1, then got the food at window #2. No spoon was served for the Frosty. Horrible all around. Get a clue, management. Look at all the reviews here. Fire your staff or shut the place down. read more

Worst customer service I've ever had anywhere in my life. We were there only guests and 5 of em walked away from the counter as soon as we walked in and made us wait. Then someone finally walked up to the register didn't greet us or say anything just waited for us to give their order. Didn't ask if we wanted for here or to go and packed all our food to go when we were eating in. read more

This is by far the worse Wendy's in the DMV. If you thinking about going there don't, you're better off going to 7 Eleven and grabbing a bag of chips. The service is terrible and it's just barely clean enough not to be shut down. And if you decide to be brave enough and place an order triple check your food before you leave because somehow they even screw up counting 10 nuggets. I could go on but there's no need I tried to do half a star but Yelp wouldn't let me read more

Lots of issues with this place. First off we couldn't understand what the person taking the order was saying. It literally sounded the like microphone was in his mouth. He seemed to get frustrated when we asked him to repeat what he said. We finally got our food and it was wrong. We ordered a number 1, number 4 ,a chicken sandwich, a four piece nugget with ranch and 4 frosties. We got a number 1, 2 chicken sandwiches and the nuggets minus the ranch and no spoons or straws. Went back thru the drive thru and they made another burger and gave us only 2 straws. We did ask for spoons but got 1 spoon, 1 fork and 1 knife. So now my kids are trying to eat frosties with a knife and fork. We didn't even bother trying to go back through because it wasn't with the hassle. read more

I've always thought of this Wendy's to be one of the worst ones by far. There is always an extremely long wait. I mean it's a fast food restaurant right? Granted, I know it takes time to prepare the food. But today in particular, my husband and I drove up to the drive through and sat for approximately 6-7 minutes and no one came through the intercom. My husband decided to drive up to the window where we saw the workers going about their day. No one acknowledged us even though they saw us sitting there. A decent "hold on one moment we will be with you" would have sufficed. After about 4 minutes of sitting there with no acknowledgement I just told my husband to drive off. Everytime I go there I've had piss poor service and after today I will no longer go there! read more

This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to or the worst fast food place I've been in my whole life. Both doors were locked at 5:30 PM but there were people eating and a long line inside. I had to bang on the door to get anyone's attention and one of the customers came t o open the door for us and others behind us. Some of the customers before us had left (go figure). It took 20 minutes in line before they got our order and the people behind us got their food before we did (unfair). The cashier was rude asking for our orders and everyone was so slow, like they're strolling in a park instead of working. Whoever is the manager or whoever owns this franchise better check on these unethical and disrespectful workers who must hate their jobs and purposely locked the doors. If they don't like their jobs and they show their ugly attitude to all their customers, then they should just quit or get fired. They're really hurting the business and they seemed to show no professionalism nor manners and integrity at all. If I open any kind of business, I would be careful not to hire workers like them or better yet, just let a robot do the job well. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS WENDY'S LOCATION AT ALL OR BETTER YET, LET THE OWNERS OR MANAGER KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS STORE. THIS IS NOT A BUSINESS WHO FOLLOW ANY KIND OF REGULATIONS AND IF TOLERATED, WILL SPREAD EVERYWHERE AND THIS COUNTRY WILL GO DOWN! read more

Convenient location, but very slow. It's supposed to be fast food. Not particularly great, but at least fast. This place is not good and not fast. Also very difficult to hear the employees via the intercommunications box in the Drive-Thru read more

Not sure how to give a 0 star rating. Woman was extremely rude and you could tell she didn't want to be there or be bothered by a customer.

Consistantly the slowest service I've ever received at a "fast food" restaurant. Seriously, don't go here.

Service was good for us but would not recommend spending your hardworking money here because the staff does not care for you. I watched multiple people wait including a man who told us that he had been waiting for a simple frosty for 40 mins! Place is very dirty and stinky. read more

Wendy's near Home Depot in Upper Marlboro near Penn Ave is the absolute worst. Placed order and was asked to park to receive my simple order. Needless to say after two attempts for them to fulfill the order, I requested and received a refund. read more

Don't go to this place within 20 minutes of closing. They won't take your order and they will tell you everything is sold out but the JR. Patties... They were really in a rush to leave and this happens on a regular basis. The Wendys in Bowie is the best! Very friendly and they open at 7 and close at 2. The food there is also much better and neater. Wendys in Upper Marlboro is really just a hit or miss situation. read more

They were very rude!!!!!!!!!! I asked for 3 meals and they only ended up giving me 2 and when i told them that i requested 3 they acted like they didn't know what i was talking about! They also switched at the last minute when i asked for a baked potato. the woman on the speaker was ready to add it to my order but then i heard a man tell her to tell me they have no more. so what was it? did you really not have any? or did you now feel like making it? either way the customer service is terrible and they really need to work on drive thru time!!! read more

Slowest Wendy's ever!!!!! The nonchalant jokers inside all need to find another line of work. May I suggest competitive knitting. If this is considered fast food, I don't want to know what slow food is. There's no reason in the world why you have only one register open at 8pm. The drive thru line was like 8 cars deep, so I figured going inside would be the better move. Wrong!!!! It took them 15 minutes to give me 2 burgers, 2 fries and 1 drink. 15 minutes!!! I've gone to this Wendy's before around the evening hour and it's always a slow pace. But last night was the absolute worst. Never again. read more

This was such a terrible experience I wanted to ensure this review made it to BOTH google and YELP. See google review below: This was so disappointing!!! Ordered my food and paid but wasn't told there would be a wait for what I ordered until I got to the pick-up window (or else I wouldn't have ordered) . It is only THEN that I am told to pull into a parking spot because the delivery truck had just arrived and unloaded a shipment of fries they had been waiting on (not to mention this huge tractor trailer was partially blocking the drive-thru making it difficult to maneuver). OK cool whatever.. as I am sitting waiting in the parking lot there are several employees still in uniform off to the side smoking in a circle, entertaining non-employee friends who it appeared may have come to the restaurant parking lot just to hang out (not to mention the employees I encountered in the drive-thru seemed a little zoned out). Definitely unprofessional and it gave the restaurant such a bad look. Employee finally comes to the car with my food and says "Oh by the way we didn't have mushrooms to make your mushroom burger but here you go". REALLY.??!! I paid a premium for that Mushroom burger and now you tell me after I've been sitting in the parking lot for almost 10 min waiting on (season-less) fries that there are no mushrooms! It was after 11 PM and I did not feel comfortable getting out my car to go argue for my money back so I just took the L and went home to what was the saddest looking meal ever. This is the closest Wendy's to my house but I'm pretty sure I will be avoiding at ALL COSTS! Very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. Please remind your employees that they are not at work to hang-out, they all looked young so lets remind them that professionalism starts at a young age, it often dictates future success! read more

worse wendys got a cheese burger around 3 am i ended up throwing it up. tasting it i knew it was werid but i thought it was just the seasoning i geuss not the burger was bad. i was gonna call up there but they were rude anyways so i assumed the manger would of said oh im sorry do u want another sandwhich or he probably would of not cared and hung up. but ill never eat there again. read more

Terrible establishment in the Upper Marlboro area. It dosen't matter what time you come to it, be prepared to sit in the drive thru line for at least 10 minutes. It takes so ridiculously long to get the food after already going through the terrible customer service. Avoid if you can read more

i have Never ever Yelped before...however, i was so very distraught at apprx 7pm...(we walked out w|o ordering) that i down loaded this app just to rant. First off, i had to use the restroom first, bad thought. zero toilet tissue on the gigantic holders. the giant rolls were lying on the dirty, wet floor... UGh. So i exited the disgusting restroom and went into the line to order my food, 6 minutes later, no body in front of me had been taken care of yet, and people off to the side we visibly angry because they still hadnt recieved their order yet. I know busy happens...but once the state of the bathroom turned me off, and after waiting without the line moving, i left without patronizing this establishment read more

i dont even write yelp reviews but I had to take some time out for this. the absolute worst fast food experience ever. I came at 1:18am with my boyfriend, they told us they were closed, with an attitude, even though it clearly stated everywhere that they closed at 2am. we left disappointed and hungry. The following week, my boyfriend goes to the wendies in bowie at 1:45am. Note, the bowie location has the EXACT same hours as the upper marlboro location. Bowie wendies was open and took his order with a smile and a thank you. This Wendies location has no concern for company policy, profit, and no concern for their costumers either. If I make the mistake of using this Wendies drive thru, i will subsequently have to cancel my plans for the rest of my day because it never moves and i'll probably spend upwards of 30 minutes trying to get burger and fries. Unacceptable, that is not fast food. Not only are they inconsiderate and have complete disregard for company policy and customer experience. They continuously over or under salt their fries, serve stale buns, serve soggy wet nuggets and serve the most disgusting syrupy sweet tea i've ever tasted. 0/10. you'll have a better time at the wendies in clinton or the wendies in bowie. if i could give negative stars i could. read more
