By FAR the worst Wendy's I have ever been to. Possibly my worst fast food experience ever. What a joke. Waited 15 minutes just to get to the order screen with only two cars in front of me in line. One of them got tired of waiting and drove off. Wish I had done the same. At the order screen I had to repeat myself 3 times, and correct her each time. Then another 10 minutes in line (watched them screw up the order of the person in front of me and have to fix it). Then at the food window I could hear them talk about the orders like it was their first day on the job. "No that's the son of baconator, he ordered the baconator" Guess what? They still have me the son of baconator. So they charged me an extra two bucks for the garbage. Got home and opened the baconator and the patties were falling apart, sauce was smeared all over the side, truly awful. I truly don't understand how they can afford to keep the doors open. Every time I try to give this location a chance, it's always a HORRIBLE experience/service. Tonight I decide to stop in (drivethru). Ordered my food. Young man who took my money-awesome he was great. Guy who gave me the food-seemed like he was high. I pulled off, checked my food...WRONG (as in every time I try to patronize here). I back up, at this point, I DONT WANT ANY FOOD. JUST MY MONEY BACK. This is by far the worse Wendy's in the DMV. If you thinking about going there don't, you're better off going to 7 Eleven and grabbing a bag of chips. The service is terrible and it's just barely clean enough not to be shut down. The food is good, though I always get the impression that's depite their best efforts. I never use Drive Thru's (a waste of gas, plus walking in and standing in line is usually faster) so I can't comment on that. Update: I came her about a month ago with my wife. The burgers were very salty. Came here today and found the burgers less salty but still more than I'd have liked. In addition, the Frosty was gritty, like the mix had been watered down and the result was full of ice. (Change in management?) There is nothing "fast" about this fast food service. Completely horrible service. We were the fourth customers in line at the counter so it didn't seem like it would take that long to get service. Completely wrong. After several minutes of waiting, they had only served two customers. Frustrated, we left and opted for the drive-thru. The drive-thru was no better. I had ordered five items but the cashier was obviously unable to keep up; only two items displayed on the screen. I had a question for the cashier and she was unable to answer that. I gave up and said I'd order at the window. I ordered at window #1, then got the food at window #2. No spoon was served for the Frosty. Horrible all around. Get a clue, management. Lots of issues with this place. First off we couldn't understand what the person taking the order was saying. It literally sounded the like microphone was in his mouth. He seemed to get frustrated when we asked him to repeat what he said. We finally got our food and it was wrong. We ordered a number 1, number 4 ,a chicken sandwich, a four piece nugget with ranch and 4 frosties. We got a number 1, 2 chicken sandwiches and the nuggets minus the ranch and no spoons or straws. Went back thru the drive thru and they made another burger and gave us only 2 straws. We did ask for spoons but got 1 spoon, 1 fork and 1 knife. So now my kids are trying to eat frosties with a knife and fork. We didn't even bother trying to go back through because it wasn't with the hassle. read more

I've always thought of this Wendy's to be one of the worst ones by far. There is always an extremely long wait. I mean it's a fast food restaurant right? Granted, I know it takes time to prepare the food. But today in particular, my husband and I drove up to the drive through and sat for approximately 6-7 minutes and no one came through the intercom. My husband decided to drive up to the window where we saw the workers going about their day. No one acknowledged us even though they saw us sitting there. A decent "hold on one moment we will be with you" would have sufficed. After about 4 minutes of sitting there with no acknowledgement I just told my husband to drive off. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever been to or the worst fast food place I've been in my whole life. Both doors were locked at 5:30 PM but there were people eating and a long line inside. I had to bang on the door to get anyone's attention and one of the customers came t o open the door for us and others behind us. Some of the customers before us had left (go figure). It took 20 minutes in line before they got our order and the people behind us got their food before we did (unfair). The cashier was rude asking for our orders and everyone was so slow, like they're strolling in a park instead of working. Whoever is the manager or whoever owns this franchise better check on these unethical and disrespectful workers who must hate their jobs and purposely locked the doors. If they don't like their jobs and they show their ugly attitude to all their customers, then they should just quit or get fired. They're really hurting the business and they seemed to show no professionalism nor manners and integrity at all. If I open any kind of business, I would be careful not to hire workers like them or better yet, just let a robot do the job well. This was such a terrible experience I wanted to ensure this review made it to BOTH google and YELP. See google review below: This was so disappointing!!! Ordered my food and paid but wasn't told there would be a wait for what I ordered until I got to the pick-up window (or else I wouldn't have ordered) . It is only THEN that I am told to pull into a parking spot because the delivery truck had just arrived and unloaded a shipment of fries they had been waiting on (not to mention this huge tractor trailer was partially blocking the drive-thru making it difficult to maneuver). OK cool whatever.. as I am sitting waiting in the parking lot there are several employees still in uniform off to the side smoking in a circle, entertaining non-employee friends who it appeared may have come to the restaurant parking lot just to hang out (not to mention the employees I encountered in the drive-thru seemed a little zoned out). Definitely unprofessional and it gave the restaurant such a bad look. Employee finally comes to the car with my food and says "Oh by the way we didn't have mushrooms to make your mushroom burger but here you go". REALLY.??!! I paid a premium for that Mushroom burger and now you tell me after I've been sitting in the parking lot for almost 10 min waiting on (season-less) fries that there are no mushrooms! It was after 11 PM and I did not feel comfortable getting out my car to go argue for my money back so I just took the L and went home to what was the saddest looking meal ever. i have Never ever Yelped before...however, i was so very distraught at apprx 7pm...(we walked out w|o ordering) that i down loaded this app just to rant. First off, i had to use the restroom first, bad thought. zero toilet tissue on the gigantic holders. the giant rolls were lying on the dirty, wet floor... UGh. i dont even write yelp reviews but I had to take some time out for this. the absolute worst fast food experience ever. I came at 1:18am with my boyfriend, they told us they were closed, with an attitude, even though it clearly stated everywhere that they closed at 2am. we left disappointed and hungry. The following week, my boyfriend goes to the wendies in bowie at 1:45am. Note, the bowie location has the EXACT same hours as the upper marlboro location. Bowie wendies was open and took his order with a smile and a thank you. This Wendies location has no concern for company policy, profit, and no concern for their costumers either. If I make the mistake of using this Wendies drive thru, i will subsequently have to cancel my plans for the rest of my day because it never moves and i'll probably spend upwards of 30 minutes trying to get burger and fries. Unacceptable, that is not fast food. Not only are they inconsiderate and have complete disregard for company policy and customer experience.
