Tried to charge me for sauce after I already ordered, was rude and stuck a clock in receipt from their punch box into my bag of fries. I work in the airport and always treat the employees with respect but somehow never receive that same respect back. Burger was good tho. read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. This location has great service, nice employees and free drink refills. We flew into Tampa & had time to kill. We were tired & hungry. We started at PF Changs but it took too long to get seated and the prices were airport "gotcha" prices. The line at Wendy's was manageable. Leo (who was probably the manager) was very nice. I don't eat meat so I had the chicken wrap with the chicken on the side. The employees added lettuce, tomato & pickle. I drizzled ranch on the wrap. Yum. The drinks are refillable. That is wonderful when you are stuck in an airport and don't know the layout of stores & restaurants. Wendy's is in the main terminal, near Phoebe, the giant Flamingo. read more

Too slow We made it to TPA to catch a flight with enough time for some food. My family went next door to a chicken place while I picked Wendy's. A single with cheese meal seemed a good start to a week of eating out while we visited DC. And it was, the burger was tasty and the fries were fine. My interactions with the staff were simple and straight forward. The downside was it took too long to get my food. We had time, unlike some people at airports, so it didn't cause us a problem. I've found Wendy's in general to be slow and this visit reinforced that feeling. There was a line, slow, and once I ordered the food it was slow to come out. So slow that my family got their food, found a table, ate their food, and sat waiting for me to start. This Wendy's is located in the Main Terminal area. read more

Do not eat breakfast here. Terrible customer service and rude management. Got my order wrong by calling out the wrong name with two bags in her hands. I opened my sandwich to see the wrong one and returned it five minutes later. When I were back up to the counter, the lady who has my order by mistake was also at the counter. The manager received both bags and simply tried to switch the bags to give us the correct bags. When I asked for her to make it over again so it could be fresh, she catches an attitude. My husband and I are on our way back home, so we decided to eat lunch here since we're early for our flight. We didn't want fries, so we ordered a baked potato with our combo. I had lunch at Wendy's inside of Tampa International Airport around 11ish. I ordered the double cheeseburger meal with only cheese and ketchup on it, fries without salt, and coke no ice. When, I got my food it was so hot and fresh, I don't even eat at Wendy's however that food was very delicious, and it was free refills on pop. I only saw three staff members the Manager took the orders while the other two were getting the meals together. They all looked nice, wore their masks, didn't look sloppy, fresh and hot food, and great customer service. read more

Wow! All I have to save is wow! This has been the best Wendy's I have ever eaten. The food took longer than a normal Wendy's but if you aren't in a rush it will be worth the wait. The food came out like a Wendy's commercial. I ordered a the prestigious Baconator and the Asiago chicken sandwich combos. They both were piping hot and as juicy as I could have asked for. They are in the process or remodeling this portion of the airport. There are pieces of tape and numbers and such written all around on the floor. No one seems to tending the tables or cleaning them. the first table we set up there was a sticky residue everyplace. We moved around quite a bit and I finally found one that I could clean with enough paper towel and water. I never did see anyone come around to wash the tables. Two of the full meals, one burger and a frosty totalled nearly 30 bucks. It was food. It was recognizable, the frosty was half melted, the french fries were hot and crisp. I needed some lunch before boarding my flight to LaGuardia and, since my wife had a Wendy's gift card, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a #1 meal (Classic single hamburger, fries and soda) for $7.69 before tax. I'm not a big fan of Wendy's but, while this isn't saying much, my food here was as good as at any Wendy's I've been to. I never say "Mmmm" when I eat Wendy's burgers and fries. Instead, I say: "This needs more salt." What impressed me about this place were the prices. Instead of the usual airport rip-offs, the prices at this Wendy's were about the same as the prices at Wendy's back home in Queens. read more

In Tampa Airport, there weren't too many places to eat breakfast, so we settled on Wendy's. Before this visit, I was unaware Wendy's had any sort of breakfast menu. I ordered at Frosty at 4:31 Tuesday May 14 at the Wendy's at the Tampa Airport. I then stood at the counter waiting for it. I never left. The next 5 customers were served, left, and I was still standing there. The guy who seemed to be expediting asked me what I was waiting for since I was staring at him. "A frosty." He gestured at the drink cup on the counter with the plastic lid on it. The lady after me had asked if it was her water- and I did not listen for her answer. I walk up to the counter to look at the cup that looked like a drink and wondered how I was supposed to know that was mine. I asked, "And the spoon?" He gestured to the plastic spoons to the right. I squeezed the cup that contained ice cream which melts which had probably been sitting there for 9-10 minutes. I have never been given icecream with a lid on it. I usually get a cup with a spoon sticking out of it so it is clearly icecream. In this case, my order was placed on the counter without any concern for anyone getting it and left to melt. I went from confused to pretty annoyed pretty quickly. My impression was the guy may work there, but he does not give a s--- whether or not the customer gets or wants to eat their food. So I said, "So this has been sitting here quite a while?" Said he, "I thought you heard me." In truth, he had handed bags of food to the other customers without saying anything to anyone. His words, 'what are you waiting for' and 'i thought you heard me' sort of contradicted each other to the point that even he knew he was lying. As I wondered how melted my Frosty was- wondering how long I had been there at this point- he then said, "I could make you another one." What I really wanted was to hear my frosty order announced in some way and be able to get it without waiting. He knew it was just sitting there after the customer asked if it was her water. I wish he cared at all without having to be confronted with the fact that facing the customer he annoyed is unpleasant. I took the Frosty- the original one that had been sitting on the counter for 9 minutes- would have been longer if the line had not ended- walked around the corner and I threw it away. I have worked fast food, years of retail, I wish I just asked for the refund. It should not be that hard, or a game, to get one's food when it isn't even busy. read more

Sunday... The worst day to eat at the airport when ChicFila is closed! I can't tell you the last time I actually ate at a Wendy's but due to limited options, while I awaited my flight, I decided to try it. If I could give "0" stars I would! The meat, if you can even call it that, was dry and barely warm. Yes, I could've complained and taken it back but I somehow doubt it would've been any different. If you're a full is full type person and just need something to hold you over until you reach civilization, because you just returned from partaking in survivor or naked and afraid, then knock your lights out. Otherwise, if you're not on the verge of passing out from starvation, I'd sit this one out as those grubs, snakes, lizards, etc were far more tasty no doubt!! read more
