To get my "fried food" fix once in a while I head to Culver's! I love the fish fry, butter burgers(mushroom Swiss!), onion rings, cheese curds, and root beer! They have a drive thru which is convenient and the staff is always friendly. It's a little more pricey but worth it for quality fast food. The seating in the restaurant is modern and clean and comfy. I like the efficiency of taking the order and handing out numbers, so you don't have to wait by the "order pickup sign." We had a large party so the food did take a while. The chicken fingers meal came out cold, like it was right from the fridge (not like it had been sitting around but not heated up). They did remake the food quickly which was appreciated. They have a good array of food options and having ability to pick a side is great. We did end up ordering desserts, but they don't have cutlery sitting out. I don't know if there's an issue but it's inconvenient. If you want to share a sundae, you have to go to the counter to ask for a spoon. It's not very convenient. I will say that my burger was very juicy, having a side of broccoli made it a bit healthier, the cheese curds were delicious, and the turtle sundae was a perfectly sweet end to share. We asked my elderly aunt from the mid west what her favorite restaurant is and she quickly answered with conviction... Culver's! We looked to see if one was in Tampa and popped in to this location. We met three excellent staff members who went above and beyond. Carlos took our order and patiently went through the numerous options. I explained it was our first visit and I needed a little help to make sure everything was awesome! I like to customize my burger with lots of toppings and Carlos even repeated everything when we were complete to ensure it was right. Steve brought our food and was super nice. I would say he is very gracious. Steve asked if we like spicy and the answer was an enthusiastic yes! He recommended we try the Boom boom sauce! It was yummy with the cheese curds! As for the food... Onion rings were crunchy Burger with extra lettuce, extra tomato, extra pickle, extra grilled onion, etc was tasty Fries were properly salty, crispy and fresh Cheese curds were good with boom boom sauce Street corn was pretty safe. The Culver's Deluxe burger includes 2 smashed patties, real Wisconsin cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, pickles, sweet red onion and their signature mayo. It was super fresh and tasty, and their lightly buttered, toasted bun was unlike most fast food spots. The French Fries and Onion Rings were both super solid and accompanied the burger nicely. I liked dipping both in Culver's Signature Sauce for some added flavor. The Cheese Curds were a good try but I expected them to be a bit softer and have more of a pull than they actually did. It's definitely a unique side to get a fast food spot and can be a good snack on its own, but I didn't think it added much to the meal overall. I ended off on the Concrete Mixer which includes their fresh frozen custard. I wanted bananas and Oreos but unfortunately they didn't have bananas for some reason. I've been eating at Culvers for a while and I enjoy their food. Twice this month the service has been not so great and is causing me to rethink even going to Culvers or finding another Culvers location to go to. I placed a $55.00 online order for pick up. I had a 25% discount reward and I wanted to use on my order. Went to pick up and waited and waited and waited outside for my curbside order to be brought out. Got my order went home and I'm missing an item. It's too far to drive back for the item and I didn't get my 25% discount. Went last again last night for an online order for $42.00 went onto pickup curbside. Guy brought it out and none of my drinks were there. I brought this to the person and he said let me look at your receipt. Even then goes back in and comes out with the drinks one of which was not correct but at this time I just want to go home and eat so I let that go. I get home and guess what an item I ordered is not there and guess what it's an item I used a reward for. I've contacted Culvers twice about the first order and once with this latest order and have never received any response. I am disappointed in the service and lack of caring. I used to eat here at least once a week until they hired new teenagers that do not know how to do their Jobs. I tried the drive thru for the first time last night at 9 and I had to repeatedly say my order to the girl working the drive thru. Then waited over 20 minutes for cold food, while three cars behind me got their food fast! And once we finally complained about it to the kid handing out the orders, another kid with brown hair and glasses who was doing delivery orders finally came with our cold food after giving a delivery driver a huge order. I'm 99% sure he was holding our order the entire time waiting for the other to be finished. Not even an apology he actually asked us to do a survey. Absolutely ridiculous and will never be back. Their Deluxe Butter Burger has a golden sear on the meat patties (some like this and others don't) with a buttery bun & all the fixings - tastes best when I use a BOGO deal! Their Concrete Mixers is comparable to Dairy Queen. They have a new flavor on a daily basis and for $5.15 reg. The butter burger was just as good as any other Culvers I have had, which was nice to experience. When I walked in the people behind the counter were very nice and welcoming when I walked in and weren't pushing me into buying anything other than what I want. Granted they did ask me if I wanted a milkshake or a concrete, but it was more of a "These are other things we have if you're interested". When this location first opened in 2015 I decided to finally try Culver's (I passed the one on Fletcher/Nebraska several times, but never stopped) and I was not a fan. I got a burger, cheese curds and I made the mistake of ordering a vanilla custard. I am a huge custard fan and if the custard isn't as good a Rita's then Boo! I was so turned off by the vanilla custard's flavoring. It made it taste more like soft serve ice cream than custard. Precious S. raved about Culver's at a recent Yelp event. So one night when I wanted to get away from a house full of guests, I took a detour home from a post office run and stopped and got a CHOCOATE custard and cheese curds. The chocolate custard is on point ladies and gentlemen! It has the perfect mouthfeel that custard gives that ice cream just can't duplicate. The cheese curds are wonderful...when hot. I took my kids and niece and nephew after skating one night and they all loved the custard. I brought my son back for dinner when it was just the 2 of us and I appreciated the chargrill on the burger and the crinkle cut fries are delightful! I only ate in once, but that was the day I had the kids with me. The restaurant is very clean and the service was wonderful. So it's 2019...it took me 4 years to realize just how good a fast food joint Culver's is. I still don't like the taste of the vanilla custard, but I've gone back to grab chocolate custard and chocolate concrete mixers on more occasions that I'd like to admit to since the first of the year...and today is only Jan 24, 2019! How are you known for your custard but the custard machine has been down for a week now?? The food is good as usual. May I suggest: Even though they're known for their burgers there's definitely something for everyone. I love this about them. My boyfriend likes to order their fried shrimp basket with onion rings. Despite my own declaration of not being a burger person, this is exactly what I come for, which actually says alot. Why? Well, they're REALLY good. And I dont have to wait for cheat day to face plant their yummy burgers! My perspnal picks are their Cheddar Butter Burger (make sure you get SINGLE to keep calorie count low and avoid mayo- the buns are already buttered so there's enough wetness) and their Mushroom Swiss single...add carmelized onions. Pair with a side of coleslaw for a more well rounded meal and get unsweetened tea. When on a cheat day, I adore the cheddar cheese curds. Crispy outside, melty inside just how I like it! Look also for their seasonal Concrete mixers (their answer to the Dairy Queen blizzard). I just recently had their salted caramel pumpkin one which satisfied my all things pumpkin spice cravings. I've probably eaten a dozen or so from this location (& a few from Clearwater), and every single burger has been terribly overcooked. So, I must assume that's the goal... Seattleite here. I'm in the Tampa area often for medical treatment at TGH. Every time I fly back to the west coast I grab a burger for the plane ride home. Hands down the BEST BURGER (even at room temp!!). I'd take Culver's over my local burger chain, Dick's, any day. I always enjoy a burger from Culver's. Culver's is a slightly more upscale fast food/made to order burger joint with Midwest roots and quality ingredients. I visited Culver's on the way home from a friend's house and got their butter burger with cheese that didn't disappoint. This location has plenty of parking and the service was friendly & fast. Inside was just like every other Culver's I've been too, but this location was very clean. All of the tables were cleaned off, floors free from debris, and the bathroom was well-maintained. I had a little extra time between meetings and went through the drive-thru around noon on 8/3/23. I quickly realized what a huge mistake I had made. It was a non-moving parking lot. It took 15 minutes to move 4 cars up to order and another 30 mins. to receive my food. 45 minutes in a drive thru is the longest wait I have EVER encountered and I was furious to have my time wasted. Apparently, their model of having every customer park after paying allows them to bypass service time thresholds. I had their version of the pretzel bun burger and it was really good. I enjoyed the sauce that was used on it. The fries were good crinkle cut fries. I also had a custard which was very melted like. I think the young lady at the counter was trying to warn me that may happen from my selections but with the masks (and already being a person that doesn't have good hearing) I wasn't sure what was said. I ordered a Double butter burger and a coke my receipt shows I paid at 1:57 p. When the cars in Front got their orders great...but when the cars behind me got theirs and I am still sitting there and I was the only one left I called. The manager DaShawn was rude and acted like I had no business being irritated. Said are you going to give me your order number or continue to complain. He said they just got behind..I said no way using that excuse when I am sitting here and the whole line is GONE. Gave him my order number, he said would find my order and bring it out. @2:22, 25 min after I ordered he walked out. I opened the bag and there were fries in the bag with the burger. Took them out and said I don't want these, he said I can't take them back, I said throw them away, he said get out of your car and throw them away yourself. You messed up and you can't even say your sorry for making me sit for 25 min then continued to be rude to me. Some 19 year old manager of the store and the OWNER thinks that they don't have to be polite or provide customer service. I just PAID YOU for this hamburger and you act like I don't matter. I guess my 10.00 is no big loss and you could care less if I don't come back. But trust me I will tell 5 people they will tell 5 people and so on then maybe your business will drop. What's not to love here. I always tend to order the grilled chicken sandwich which is thick vs other chains of fast food. I although do get a sit down vibe than a fast food but then again they have a drive thru. The onion rings are always fresh and never greasy to me. One thing you have to get when you come to Culver's is a concrete mixer. They have tons of flavors but I recommend cookie n cream. read more

The only issue I had was that I ordered a chocolate concrete mixer with brownie pieces, and my ordered was repeated back to me twice, yet I ended up with a chocolate and Reese's concrete mixer.
