Rude and dirty. They had 20 minutes until closing when I got in right after our plane landed. Which means 20 minutes to still serve customers, IMO. They put the gate half down which is understandable but to haze customers as they came in or come up to the gate because of traveling all day and being hungry is not acceptable. I am aware this is a burger joint but there was absolutely no other options, as a vegetarian, I ordered the new jalapeño cheese fries that had bacon WITHOUT bacon for now and a Caesar salad for lunch the next day. It took nearly 20 minutes to make that (wrong). They smothered the fries with ay too much cheese and included bacon making it hard to open the container to eat them without a mess. Employees were loud and standing around gathered again making comments aloud about how "c'mon let's get this and get these people out of here so I can get home to my family", which we all were as well trying to get to a destination, some our families. If there is a worthy alternative to McRonalds, this would be it. Being that it's in the B & C is godsent. Not a lot of people around, in between landings and take off it's literally pretty empty in the concourse. It's like your own moment of solitude in one of the biggest airport in the States. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which is an old favorite of mine. That and in the winter time I get their chili. A large diet mountain dew to wash it all down and I'm good to go. The place is nice and neat. Very orderly and always kept clean. Trust me, I saw a staff member go by the floor area to tidy up twice while I was waiting for my flight. The cashiers are really nice and courteous as well. I've had nothing but great experiences when I come to this Wendy's. Plus free refills on my diet mountain dew is definitely two thumbs up. Single hamburger was Luke warm and over cooked. Bun was stale. Fries were over cooked. Peppermint frosty tasted artificially flavored. Floors were littered with food and sticky to walk on. Found one clean table to eat. Majority of tables looked like they had been wiped down with a dirty rag. The pop felt a little light when she handed it to me but I ignored it and against my better judgement I drove off. When I went to take a sip I could tell the cup was only half way filled. I wanted to go back but it wasn't even worth it. The chicken sandwich was good and seemed to be freshly made. This is the worst Wendy's I've ever had, franchise manager please look into this location, this will be my last time going there. I ordered a simple meal 2 4for4s and everything about them were disgusting, not poor, but disgusting gross nasty. The nuggets were barely recognizable as Wendy's nuggets they were extra soft and chewy convinced they were not fried long enough, same with the fries. The junior bacon cheeseburger was serviceable the only part of my meal I wouldn't describe as disgusting. I can only assume the horrible food has to do with the piss poor staff. Uncaring, basically threw the food into the window of my car. You're better off firing the whole crew and letting them collect unemployment because it's very clear that the people employed there are lacking in skill, care, attention, and possibly training. Gayle and I recently connected through Detroit on our way to Des Moines on Delta (on an old Northwest Route) and either the free cookie or paid lunch box wasn't enough to feed the Kid. BUT this particular location has some very rude young individuals who don't know how to smile or show any signs of friendliness upon the transaction encounter. And on top of this, they forgot my dressings for my salad - a half size apple pecan, tasty even without dressing I have discovered. And so the song goes. I frequent this location due to convenience and the inexpensive salad menu, which has substantially grown over the past year. Will I continue to visit? Probably. But not at all as often. Any fast food place in an airport is going to be a bit nuts bit this places is crazy! The line reaches out into the terminal. The good thing is they take your order quick. Once you have ordered you have to try and find a place to stand until your number is called. The soda machine is so close to the line that there is very little space to wait. Add to it all the bags people are hauling and you have a mess. The staff is nice and a manager is actively directing people to the next open register. It does not take too long to get your food. I I'd notice if you ordered chicken it took a bit longer. Find a place to dump your bag quick! The seating area is very small. As this one is located in the Denver airport, speed and accuracy is what we are shooting for. So while I consider the food to be 'meh' in general this place delivered on speed and accuracy.
