I really like White Castle, especially since they don't have one in Hawaii. When I see one on the mainland I'll try and grab something. Today, I saw that they had clam strips $4.49 and panko fish slider $2.49. I decided to try those out instead of the usual sliders. The hubby got three of the cheese sliders $1.18 each. I love clam strips and these were very good. They weren't over fried and I could actually taste the clam strips. Both of the sliders were on point. All the tables in tbe restaurant were dirty. I have loved this place since I was a kid. A burger that is like no other. The drive through service was quick as I was headed to the airport and I didn't want to leave Detroit without my childhood favorite. We used to go here after the club when I was in college too. Just got my extremely fast door dash order and they forgot to pack my entire 10 sack of sliders (which was half the order). So all we got was a chicken ring and fry. When we immediately called to ask if they were still there and available for pick up, we were told by the girl who answered the phone, "we're already eating them but we can remake them if you wanna come get them". This White Castle is conveniently located on Michigan Avenue. When heading east on Michigan Avenue or south on Venoy Road it is easy to get into the parking lot. Heading west on Michigan Avenue or north on Venoy Road takes a little planning in the case of Michigan Avenue and one left turn in the case of Venoy Road. The parking lot and environs are kept neat and clean. The same goes for the restaurant inside. It is a classic White Castle and has all the stainless steel you could possibly hope for. They cook up the food hot and fresh and don't waste time. Their service at the counter might be a tad slower than that for the window but once they detect your presence the rest is easy-peasy. I enjoy their regular burgers here especially well. Their double cheeseburgers are remarkable and I recommend them. Their fries are cooked right and have a light flavor and none of that overcooked, heavy fries experience you might be familiar with from other restaurants. Their drinks are bubbly and sparkling. It's a great place to visit all around. Whether you are having a quick lunch, leisurely meal or picking up to go - this is a very good White Castle. A+ read more

I called ahead, calling the Wayne location at 7am, and the Crave Case was ready when I got there at 7:15am. As my added bonus, I got a large coke with the extra funds I had available. I stopped in here yesterday morning on my way to the hospital around the corner before my MRI. I pulled into the lot and it was filthy. But it wouldn't be that nasty inside, right? Yeah, it was. There was what looked like mold or dirt on the A/C ceiling vent in front of the register. Keep in mind, whatever it is, mold or dirt is blowing onto the food you're eating. Pretty disgusting. The floor took me back to the days before movie theaters washed their floors. Ya know, like walking on maple syrup? The tables weren't too bad. Once you wiped off the old onions that were there longer than just a few hours, they were just like new. Making ya hungry yet? Anyway, I ordered my food. I always get my White Castles with everything, no pickle. So naturally, someone put their finest pickles on every single one of my sliders. This isn't the first White Castle I've had issues with; I know it won't be the last. But you can't take their consistency away from them. They're usually dirty as hell, slow as hell, and couldn't get an order right if their lives depended on it. I should say that the employees I interacted with were very friendly, and the onion chips were perfect. But the pickles ruined my burgers. It might sound petty, but it's something that makes or breaks my sliders. I know I'll be back. Definitely NOT this location. The lack of cleanliness was that bad. Besides, it's no where near my home. My wife and I hadn't stopped in to White Castle in a while, because my brother hasn't visited from Ohio in a while. That man knows where more of the White Castle locations are in our area than we do. Also, he can put away a lot of White Castle sliders. He usually gets a Crave Case for himself as a Midnight snack, and a Crave Case to share with us the next day for lunch. Due to him pointing us to locations that we didn't know about while we are out, and how many trips to the Castle he makes when he is visiting, we tend to associate White Castles with him. My wife and I stopped in at this location just after 10 PM yesterday, because we happened to be going past and hadn't been to the Castle in a while. We got a sack of fries and nine sliders. The onions were nice and caramelized. The pickles, ketchup and mustard was flavorful. The burger was really juicy. The fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Everything was fresh made. The lady working the take out window was friendly and professional. And we got an entertaining floor show. One of the young employees was cleaning the front end. She had an admirable work ethic and determination. She was determined to clean everything in the front end that she could. She even went so far as to hop up and down to be able to clean areas out of her reach. And she had a smile on her face as she cleaned. Service is pretty good. I'm happy that they offer vegetarian burgers here because I can still get that white castle craving quenched while also being ethical. I like how they have their own recipe for it as well instead of using named brands such as Morning Star like Burger King and they make them fresh when you order them. As far as the establishment, it looked pretty clean in there and when you walk in you could see the kitchen. Had a crave attack this week and made an emergency trip to White castle in Wayne, MI. Nothing has really changed much over the years, except for the variety and the price. There are a lot more items on the menu so I ordered some Chicken sandwiches, Jalapeño double cheeseburgers and of course some Sliders and a sack of fries. The total came to just under $30.
