Quick and easy food! We stopped inside to eat while on a road trip. The seating area and bathrooms were clean. The man behind the counter waited for us to decide what we wanted. The service was prompt and easy. They have the fun soda machines that let you choose tons of flavors to mix. My taco salad was huge!! It was pretty tasty and topped with hot chili. Every time we come here in late afternoon, they don't have baked potatoes but it's still on the menu. The menu also says you can get a vanilla frosty, but they don't have that either. The counter helper today had no response to questions about why this was so. He probably didn't know, since he wasn't a manager. On the plus side, they have chili all the time, good standard fries, and a teeny, tiny chocolate frosty that was perfect. read more

I placed an online order on April 7th at 7:10 am for the Wendy's at. PERCIVAL 2111 SAPP BROS. DRIVE PERCIVAL IA,51648. Order #688360087. I arrived at 7:30 am and pulled up to the drive thru intercom and sat there for 5 minutes with no response. I pulled up to the window and the 2 women inside ignored me! I parked my car to go inside but the doors were locked. I went back to the window and put my phone up with my online order showing and the 2 rude idiots waved me off to leave!!!! I want these scum bags fired. And a refund! I asked employees at the Sapp Bro gas station next door and they told me this is a common complaint with these rude women working at this Wendy's. Well, after reading a couple of other reviews, it seems like what I wanted to share is a common occurrence here, but I'm still annoyed about it, so here goes... I stopped here on my way out of Sioux City, IA because I was next door getting gas and my 6 yr old niece was hungry. We drove over to go inside and get her something and were met with a locked door. My mom and niece tried the other entrance while I walked my dog, and when I met them on the other side, they were standing there dumbfounded with another family with two kids asking what was going on. Keep in mind, as I drove up to the place, there were two workers standing out back and several cars parked in the lot, so it looked like a normal operating Wendy's at 10:08 am on a Saturday. There were no signs posted on the doors saying that the dining room was closed. In fact, there were a couple of people sitting inside. The windows were a tad too tinted to tell if they were patrons or just random Wendy's employees that stopped giving an F. Needless to say, this was a disappointment and we went along our road trip a tad peeved, but thankful we aren't living in the area to experience that ever again. read more

It's typical Wendy's, so you kinda know what to expect. Men's bathroom was clean. Lobby looked clean. Drive thru person that took my order was short/rude?? I'll go with just not nice, shouldn't be in customer service. Wife and I both got a medium #1 combo meal; cheeseburgers and we shared a small chili.... because it's Wendy's and you pretty much have to get chili at Wendy's, right? The cheeseburgers were good. 15 minutes for 1 order of medium fries. Super slow for a fast food place especially for 1 order of fries.

Our food took 30 mins to get and plus the lady in the window was half blind because she "got maced" in the drive through yesterday. We had to recite our whole order to the lady, and she didn't even get our order right. It feels like they are only cooking 1 chicken nugget at a time. We were 1 or 2 cars there with one family inside. We ORDERED 20 regular nuggets and half were spicy and a few were RAW!!!! We ordered 2 Cokes and they taste like Carbonated Water!!!! Stupidly slow!! This is one of the very few fast food restaurants I've been to lately that has actually been a good experience. My husband is a truck driver and we live in the truck, so we go to alot of fast food places. Normally, our orders get screwed up totally. But here, they were so helpful. The dining room was closed, so they took my husbands order right at the drive through window. And the best thing of all, our order was absolutely correct. Ordered food, today, got our name called to pick it up and then sat down. Less than 60 seconds later, an employee came over and told us that the lobby was closed and we had to leave immediately. This did not match the stated hours on the website for this location. They went and told the other tables who had also just sat ordered and sat down too. The employees was very rude about this and other tables who were booted got pretty upset. Don't think that anyone one was told this prior to ordering. Employee was super unprofessional and sarcastic in dealing with the other upset customers and clearly didn't care about customer service, only about being able to clock out on time. If I could give it a zero star I would. We went there last weekend on our way home and it was closed at 10am. Then today they were open I go in and I'm standing at the counter for 10 mins without anyone even saying anything to me, they saw me and just said "there's someone up front." I stood there a few more minutes and nothing so I walked out. Very poor place. read more

One of my favorite fast food restaurants is Wendy's. They make great hamburgers. So when I have a choice, when I am traveling, I pick Wendy's. The one in Nebraska City right off I-80 in my opinion disappointing. The bathroom toilet was cracked, the hand dryer did not work with no hand towels. The free style coke machine did not look like it had been cleaned and there was a smell. Ultimately, when I was back in my car and had a drink from my Vanilla Coke, it was flat no fizz at all. I am hoping this was a bad day for them and not an ongoing issue. Not a great experience. Wendy's is much better than that so it will not deter me from going to other Wendy's. read more

I'm running out of options between Omaha and KC. I-29 has very few truck stops and nothing that's quick, unless you like overpriced microwave burritos. I've stopped at this Wendy's a couple of times and they're slow. This time, 2-7-19, I decided to go in because it looked slow and I thought that would mean quicker service. Nope. It took me 10 minutes to get to the ordering point and then at the 23 minute mark (after the 10 minute initial wait) I asked the counter girl what was going on. She gave me a vacant look and I said "I ordered the simplest thing that you guys make, a single with fries, and you guys are slower than a sit down restaurant" She said "Can't you see we're busy?" to which I replied " It only appears that way because the same 4 groups of people have been here for a 1/2 an hour". 5 minutes later, I had my food and I bolted. After getting on the highway, I opened my bag to find dried out, oversalted fries. The burger was OK, but those are harder to screw up. Also, the inside of the store was in deplorable condition and the soda dispensers hadn't been wiped down all day, as there was dried, red goop all over the front of one of them. Do yourself a favor, keep going when you spot this place. read more

One of the worst Wendy's I've ever been too. They were not busy and their pop machine had no ice and were out of 75% of their sodas. Service was horrible. They just stared at you and didn't really say anything. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and it was paper thin and burnt. Good thing I don't live here and was just passing through. read more
