Well let tell you probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Placed a mobile order at 10:30 am and finally received my very simple order 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits, 3 sausage egg and and cheese biscuits and 2 breakfast burritos at 11:10 yes 35 minutes in the drive up! The lobby was closed! Finally got to the pick up window and they ask me to pull forward to wait for the food. Another 15 minutes! I had to get out and knock on the drive up window where I was ignored! I knocked a second time and was greeted by a young rude clerk! Finally got my food!! When is YELP going to allow a zero-star rating? Like my grandmother's moustache, this location is not worthy of a single star. 1. Their POS system regularly fails. You learn this after waiting in a non-moving drive thru lane for 30 minutes. Consider yourself lucky because you would have been disappointed had you actually had the opportunity to order. 2. If you do get the chance to order, be flexible! 1/3 of the items you want won't be available anyway. 3. You want fresh, crisp French fries? Tsk, tsk, tsk, silly man! You'll have to go to McDonald's for that! And don't you dare expect them to be hot. Now that I think about it, I wonder if they were actually even cooked at one point. Cold, limp and lifeless. It's as if they were forced to watch the movie Showgirls. 4. Apparently, the staff doesn't know the difference between regular and diet coke (wait-there's a difference??). Whenever I order a diet coke, I always ask the person at the window "so this is diet coke, right???" "Oh. You want a *diet* coke?" "Well, that's what I ordered but you're right-it's actually secret code for grape juice served in a construction boot." One person offered me Dr. Pepper as a substitute because, well, Dr. Pepper is about a similar to Diet Coke as an Ipswich Clam is to a tack hammer. Oh and I stopped trying to order Sprite Zero as 4 out of 5 employees believe that it is not available and will gladly argue with you about it. 5. When the chicken nuggets have been thoroughly overcooked and then dried out under the warming light, don't throw them away! How wasteful. Instead, cook them longer in the microwave to remove any evidence of moisture and freshness. Throw them in the refrigerator before serving however as, keeping with the quality of the fries, we wouldn't want them to be warm. They never have regular nuggets. Ever (they are somewhat mythical, like the Sprite Zero). Regardless of what you order, you will receive spicy nuggets. Oh, and apparently quantities are just an approximation. Order a 10-piece and you will get anywhere from 7 to 14 nuggets. It's like when your stoner roommate loses the bet and has to go pick up the food. 6. Nice thing about this place is consistency. They don't discriminate against any menu items, making sure that any meat product is thoroughly dried out before serving (don't want to go making the chicken nuggets jealous). In summary, if you want to spend a lot of money for a fast food experience that will provide as much joy, excitement and satisfaction as that which comes from gargling windshield glass, step to the front of the drive thru. But don't be surprised if they can't actually take your order. read more

I don't expect good customer service from fast food since I know how tough a job it can me. Wendys was my first job and definitely get the struggles, but yikes. The line here in the drive through was slowwww. When I got up to order, I realized why. No one spoke until I said "hello??" And the girl taking the orders was rude and seemed annoyed throughout the whole process. Instead of asking anything else? She just said that's it? When I paid for my meal, the person wasn't wearing a mask, so I had to put mine on, even though I was in my cat. They were too close, so I could have caught Covid if they had it. I got my food from the second window and they were wearing a mask only covering their mouth, not their nose. The person behind them wasn't wearing a mask at all. I know Covid is mainly airborne, so few people catch it from touching services. I think my chances of catching Covid from them are low, especially since I was recently vaccinated. Is this the worst Wendy's in America? I sure as hell hope so. I've lived a few blocks from this Wendy's for nearly a decade, and I work late hours, so this is my only close-to-home option for dinner on my way home from work. Honestly, the dearth of nearby late-night food options is the only explanation for how this store remains in business, as only the most desparate could electively decide to come here. 20+ minute drive through waits...out of items more than half the time (which one only finds out after waiting in line for 10 minutes to even place an order)...constant mistakes on the rare occassion they weren't out of what you wanted to begin with...glimpses of absolute chaos inside when you finally make it to the payment window....(I once witnessed the immediate aftermath of an employee brawl)...an absolute caricature of horrific operating procedure. Nearly a year ago, I swore I would never return to this Wendy's again, after 1) waiting in line for 30 minutes, 2) arriving at the first window to find out their entire POS system was out and needing to reorder, 3) watching the man in front of me get out of his car and urinate in the parking lot (I didn't blame him...I do blame the 30 minute line), 4) arriving at the second window to be asked what my order was again (because the apparent solution to an inoperable POS wasn't to write paper tickets...but instead to make every customer order three times?), and 5) still ending up with the wrong order. And I stuck to my word! Until I broke down tonight and stopped here on my way home from work in an act of desperation; I could see there was no line, I knew my fridge was empty, and I was seduced. Seduced into getting exactly what I deserved: a cashier with her mask pulled down below her chin, and a salad with half the requisite amount of (the wrong) dressing. I am an idiot, and I got nothing less than I deserved for breaking my own vow...as will anyone else who still goes to this Wendy's having read this review. read more

There are very few late night/early morning options in Oak Park. There's Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's and Wendy's. Wendy's offers breakfast (which was news to me) and the full menu. The drive through line is usually a few cars plus but the drive though service was a nice option when in a crunch and perfect for a twenty minute drive home or when in need of a quick eat. When I was/am hungry, Wendy's was a viable and convenient option. And for that, I am most appreciative. read more

I order and get to the window to pay for 2 hamburgers with everything, 2 frosty and 2 fries. $18. The order was two cheese burgers and rest. This locations is horrible. The bathroom was filthy. The soap dispenser was dirty, a latex glove in the urinal, the sink was dirty and had cigar tobacco on it. The fountain drink dispenser was out of half the drinks and the staff was arguing and being loud in front of customers. The dining area was also dirty and tables had wipe Mark's on them. The lines in the lobby were long with only one person on the register taking orders. The drive thru line was backed up to the streets. Please retrain or hire new staff members. Saw that the lady taking my order put the order wrong. Drove up to the window where people pay. The lady at the window ignored me. This Wendy's customer service is poor. I tried to give them a chance 3x now but the food is always cold and taste as if it been cooked hours ago. Pretty terrible. Yes, it's a fast food joint, but...oh wait. It's not a FAST food joint. It's just a food joint. Aside from the restaurant not being clean and the condiment station being a nightmare (ketchup pump downright scary), ordering was a joke. When it was finally our turn to order, the employee didn't really acknowledge that we were there so we weren't sure if we should start our order or not. Then she said to the far wall, "can I help you?" So we assumed it was our turn to speak. While we were ordering, she kind of spaced out and started looking behind her, which was once again confusing. The good news is that we did finally get our order placed correctly. The bad news is the snail's pace with which it was fulfilled. Now we are late to the show we were headed to. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST FAST FOOD PLACE EVER I went In for a simple $5 biggie bag and ordering was fast but as soon as we went to pay they said they scanner wasn't working for point in the first window and told us to go to the second window as soon as we where about to pull forward told us that the other one wasn't working as well told to speak to the manager just to see if anything was possible for the app and she came in in a really bad mood started talking aggressive said loudly OUR SCANNERS ARE WORKING we said is there anything possible for this problem she said LIKE I SAID AGAIN OUR SCANNERS ARENT WORKING so we asked for her name in a paper or something and she rudely shut the window hard after a bit of waiting an employee came to the window and said oh our scanner isn't working we said we already knew only needed the managers name and the told us that they didn't have anything to write with not even a pen like who doesn't have a pen so then we asked for paper so we could write it and he said we can't give you paper at all so we decided to pay for the receipt to write her name down and same employee came and said oh our receipt machine isn't working a min goes by and we noticed that the machine just printed out a paper right in front of us we told him oh that just printed a receipt he said oh it's not working we then told them ok we want the money back he went and got the refund we asked how are we supposed to know if we got the money back or anything and deadass goes back gets a paper and a pen AFTER SAID THAT THEY COULDNT DO THAT and said here and wrote on the paper with the pen and just gave it to us all it had was 5$ biggie bag $5.50 And told us to have a good day like what kind of customer service is that worst place to go don't recommend this place especially the manager was really rude and one of the employees was rude too HORRIBLE read more

If negative stars could be given, this location would receive negative 1 million stars. I've lived in the area for quite a few years, and this location is a late night option. And in that time, the level of cleanliness of the dining area (I can't imagine what it is behind the counter ) and customer service (from the "managers" and "staff") are both equally HORRENDOUS. I've witnessed employees speaking ill towards customers on many occasions, then closing the dining rooms before 9pm several times, and all without a care in the world. Tonight, as I entered the dining room before 9pm, and as per usual no one greets you, with 5-6 people behind the counter, mind you not doing anything. They looked at me like I head 5 heads and kept at doing nothing. After 5mins of me waiting for someone to say hello, anything, a member of their "staff" stated they're not taking any orders. It would have been courteous to say, "Thanks for waiting...Unfortunately at this time...". When I responded with what would be warranted after being ignored for 5mins, the staff member responded: "Oh well". I ordered online went inside and was ignored for 10min I even asked for help and they just looked at me and still ignored me! After they finally came up I didn't get a sorry for the wait just asked me what I wanted in a rude tone. They then told me they didn't have my order in the system and I showed her the order on my phone and her response was "well I don't have it". Corporate needs to let the store know what to do when someone orders on the app and one of the items is out of stock. They said I could have something different but the price wasn't the same and I didn't really want it. They told me I had to go on the app to get a refund. The fries definitely don't taste as good as they used to but none of that is this locations fault. The staff was nice but no one really knew what to do about my order. This Wendy's is terrible. Every time I go there it's a complete disappointment. First, I waited in the drive-thru for 18mins. Then when I finally received my order, which was a FULL sized Apple Pecan Chicken salad, what I received was a half size, I know this because I order this salad on a regular basis from other locations and this was much smaller than my usual salad. When I brought it to the attention on the girl working the drive-thru window, she started to argue with me and then I realized there was no pecan's in the bag so I asked for some & she said "we don't have no pecans" and slammed the window in my face.
