We ate at @culvers in Elmwood Park recently. I heard so many people rave about their food. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and the Strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken and raspberry vinaigrette. Did not really care for the chicken sandwich it was pretty tasteless. Strawberry Fields salad was good, and all ingredients were fresh, but, I didn't care for the vinaigrette all that much. Service was just okay in fact it was a little slow considering the small amount of people that were there. I have no idea what people are raving about, maybe we ordered the wrong items, but I won't be returning here, unless it's to try their Frozen Custard

Snow is nicely shoveled in the lot, thank you.

Perfectly fine experience. I was waiting in my car for my teen to get a haircut at nearby Frank's Barber Shoppe and decided to drive-thru for a Coke & fries. $5.04 isn't bad for a medium Coke and medium fries. Both were good. Fries were hot and fresh. Coke was icey cold and delicious. The line moved quickly. The parking lot was shoveled. Staff wore masks. Staff was pleasant and efficient. All good. I'd still like more vegetarian and vegan options, but that's more of a Culver's corporate request. The exit is tricky here. I agree with the other Yelper, Eric, who warned about getting lost in Elmwood Park's weird one-way grid of side streets. I found my way back to Grand Avenue eventually.

Right off of Grand Ave, this is yet another solid Culver's

CURDS WITH FRIENDS Everyone knows of Culver's famous deep fried morsels--whether or not you share them, is entirely up to you. What's to say about this chain that hasn't already been said? They've got killer frozen custard, delicious burgers, and ultra nice workers. I've hit up this location a few times, all good experiences. Look for the blue & white awnings off of Grand Ave a few blocks west of Harlem. These days my go-to order is the bacon deluxe, usually subbing out the fries for mashed potatoes w/gravy. Wisconsin cheese curds ($4) are worth every penny. I'm saddened they got rid of their $5 snack pack meal deals (single burger + small fry + small drink). They were the perfect size and made for an ideal lunch that was both speedy and filling. If you aren't paying close attention how/where you exit this Culver's, you might get stuck in the roundabout that surrounds the nearby Elmwood Park recs department. Wave hi to Ann Perkins and circle back around to Grand, or try your luck on one of the radial side streets. Will you find your way back onto the main stretch, or will you get lost and eat your wife's food in a frenzied panic? Choose wisely, compadre. * TL;DR * Hooray for tasty grub and friendly peeps manning the drive thru (special shout out to a senior staff member who complimented my retro White Sox jersey)! I'd like to put Culver's and Chik-Fil-A employees in the same room to see who out-charms the other first: "it's my pleasure", "b*tch please, it's MY pleasure, now have an extra 6 tubs of ranch". god bless the affable midwest.

Dam I'm so hongry. We went to the accountant @ 11am & got out around 3pm. My wife ordered the cod sandwich loaded w/a perfectly crunchy battered crispy piece of fish served piping hot w/lettuce, cheese & Mayo. I tried a bite it was delicious. I ordered the double butter bacon cheeseburger. This was also very tasty. I guess when you you're ravenous and haven't eaten all day anything is good. Obviously Culvers isn't Kuma Burger or Au Cheval but it's a decent inexpensive burger. It sure was delicious & really hit the spot.

Definitely enjoying coming to this location! Always so friendly, always spoil our two dogs! It's so nice coming to a place where it's clean, the staff is respectful, and taking proper COVID precautions. Get their banana split!!!

The menu is straight to the point and the restaurant itself is pretty small. You'll be standing eating inside or you can go outside where they have tables. The employees are incredibly efficient! The line moves quick and I recommend reviewing the menu ahead of time. For the food, I ordered the Italian beef, French fries and Italian ice. The first bite of the Italian beef was incredible. There was so much flavor and the peppers gave it a great kick. I ended up ordering another one. The fries were fresh and I would get again. The Italian ice was the star as well. It was so good! I can't even put it to words. The whole meal was perfect. I cannot wait to try it again. Thank you so much Johnnie's Beef!

So it was all about the beef and sausage sandwich for me and I will say I found the sausage to be spicier than the peppers themselves which was totally awesome as anything that's hot I'm game for, while it wasn't overly bearing hot it just had a good flavor to it with every component especially the beef itself which honestly I kinda wish I would have only gotten the beef as I just enjoyed it's flavor on that yummy bread with the sweet and the hot peppers! They had a tamale here too and it was ok it was 4 small pieces that were easy to share or had a good corn flavor to it while it was yummy It really reminded me of the ones that you can find on the corner of Rampart & Beverly in LA as the flavor was very similar to me. One of the biggest goodies here was that lemon ice like that was sooo yummy such a good lemon flavor all iced out it really hit the spot for being one of the best lemon ice I've ever had! Overall super yummy little spot doing it right so do yourself a favor and just go to Johnnie's you'll be happy you did!

The combo was tasty and good size. I give this restaurant 4 stars nice little spot. Try it out and let me know what you think. Ciao, Ciao for now.

When I was here I got the #8 Greek chicken which was nicely seasoned broiled chicken, garlic bread, and rice. It came piping hot and fresh and served with a drink. I loved it! Their fries and onion rings were delicious, too. Pop's totally reminds me of a true Chicagoan spot for some grub - you'll see locals coming in and out while talking with the staff (because they're regulars) about the Bears, work, or construction nearby on I-90 (very Chicagoan). I loved the lowkey and charming feel here. Their pricing is affordable with most combos (including fries and a drink) being under $11. It's better to eat individually or with 1 person if you want to dine-in since they don't have tables inside, just a built-in tabletop against the walls so you're facing the window/wall when you eat. I recommend taking your food to-go. The 2 men at the counter helping me were personable and approachable. Located in a tiny stip mall off the busy street, this place is a small spot with convenient parking right out in front. Pop's is one humble fast-food place that serves up fresh menu items and Chicago classics. I'd recommend it!

Maybe because it already receives so much positive attention, it hardly needs my two cents. But after this latest visit, I decided to "pile on" with my love for this place. First, I must alert you to pay attention to their hours, because they are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I kicked myself at least once, when I made the 40 minutes drive from home, just to find that I forgot that they were closed that day. This store is a double threat - offering a great take home Italian deli with a plethora of fresh and frozen items for you to prepare at home. This is also a great spot for lunch, with legendary sub sandwiches, and an array of hot dishes to choose from. I often do both. On this visit, from the deli, I picked up some of their marvelous, thinly sliced breaded eggplant, which I always get when I'm there. I bring some to my ex-wife and daughter who love it as well. Just give it a quick cook in the oven, and it's delicious. I also got some of their marvelous breaded potato salad, which is old-fashioned homemade style. From the hot bar, I got a couple of Italian sausage and some meatballs. I buy these ready to eat, but take them home to use for dinners later. That way I don't have to cook them. Obviously, they offer both meatballs and Italian sausage in fresh or frozen as well, which I get when I'm preparing my mom's spaghetti recipe. This time, I decided to try a quart of their frozen Nottoli homemade marinara, which I hadn't tried before. So delicious! I had pasta and spaghetti with sausage that night, and pasta and meatballs the next. On my various trips here, besides the Italian sausage that they are famous for, as well as the meatballs, I like their olives and other salad items, the sandwiches, brocciole, and many other hot Italian dishes for lunch. The rigatoni w/vodka sauce is a killer. Finally, the people have always been wonderful , which is very important to me. Despite being busy, it is well organized and you're in and out of there in no time (or you can sit at the table inside if you want to eat in). The prices are extremely reasonable, and I'm always pleased about the value I get for such a good price. I apologize for no pictures on this review. I always just seem to be focused on my own mouth watering choices, as opposed to a Yelp review when I come here.
