My sister's favorite is the banana fudge, and you can't get her near any other banana ice cream. My absolute favorite, though, is the burnt sugar. Then, I came back here with my boyfriend and a couple of his friends on Saturday night. We should've just never come back... We got there before a rush, and I was initially really glad about that because I thought we'd get our ice cream first. We waited, I am not exaggerating, over an hour. We were joking at first about how long it was, and then it was actually over an hour. Astonishing, really. So we ended up getting our ice cream last. There were at least 12 orders that were done before ours, who ordered after us. So eventually my boyfriend's friend goes up to ask where ours are, and the guy is clueless. He apologized and said there's only one machine working. Okay, but how is that relevant to the amount of orders he did before ours? It isn't. Then, my boyfriend's friend clearly stated what we wanted, multiple times, pointing to each person who ordered one. Nutella, Nutella and vanilla, and Oreo. The guy comes back and starts talking about strawberry. Before that, he was talking to another group about strawberry too! What?! No one said strawberry but he really wanted to make strawberry I guess? I wanted to try the Nutella one and the vanilla one, that's why I ordered what I did. It turns out they don't do half and half, they just mix the flavors together. That's so disappointing, and a waste of money, but they don't tell you that till after you get your ice cream. Overall the ice cream was mediocre at best. The service was unfortunately trash, and this was a waste of time and money. I would definitely never recommend this place.

The food lacked flavor across the board. The rice was cold, the beans tasted like they came straight from a can, and the tamale was bland even after adding hot sauce. The gordita was especially disappointing, it had very little meat inside, and the masa tasted store bought rather than homemade. For a Mexican restaurant, I expected much more flavor and freshness. With so many great Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood, there are plenty of better options to choose from. Based on my experience, I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere. Even though employees were walking by & changing some of the empty ice creams out for full ones, no one ever asked us if we needed help with anything. I ended up making eye contact with a lady behind the counter on the opposite side of the store & she's waving me over - I walk to the other side of the store (it was recently remodeled & has a longer layout than most other stores) she tells me I have to order there - I said "so I have to come over here just to walk back over there to tell you what I want? How does that makes sense?" Basically, they want you to pay 1st & then they will walk to the other side to prepare what you ordered - I don't have a problem with paying 1st but as a customer, don't make me stand there while the employees are either walking back & forth past me or staring at me from the other side of the store, essentially waiting for me to come to you. I told her she should of walked over to us & asked us to come & pay 1st instead of standing there & waiting for your customers to figure out you don't want to move & want them to come to you while you simply stand there. I left without purchasing anything & have no plans on going back to this DD anymore- there's way too many more to choose from.
