Had a taste for a ButterBurger from Culver's on Monday, November 20, 2023. Stopped by Culver's located at 2751 Rose St, Franklin Park, IL 60131. The staff greeted us as we entered the restaurant. Each of the staff members we encountered were very friendly, polite, and nice. We ordered the Double Deluxe ButterBurgers with Cheese Baskets. The basket meal includes crinkle cut fries and a drink. The burgers and crinkle cut fries were freshly made. The soda is self serve. Everything was delicious. We decided to dine in. The dining room was clean, the cup lids, ketchup, hand wipes, napkins and straws were adequately stocked. The friendly staff member Dave came out to the dining room to check on us a few times. We will definitely return to Culver's in Franklin Park, IL. read more

A coworker took me here for my birthday. It was a great experience because the staff was so darn friendly. A special shout out goes to Mark H. and Deborah for coming over to my table and singing happy birthday! I'm not used to that level of customer service since moving to Chicago so this was a special treat. I got a free sundae too! This Culver's has been open for about three years or so now, and I've only ate from here about three times (that averages out to about one visit per year, for all you mathematically challenged people out there). Truth be told, I haven't experienced anything all that great about Culver's that keeps me coming back on a regular basis. Come to think of it, I wish more food places had this effect on me. Or just food in general. The food isn't bad. Just really overrated, in my opinion. The "butterburgers" don't taste nearly good as they sound. They don't taste buttery, that's for sure. They do, however, taste like a very run of the mill burger. One upside is the meat is pretty fresh tasting. And I also enjoy cheddar cheese on my burgers, so kudos there. But if I do decide to come back, I think I may sample some of their other menu items since these burgers just don't cut it for me. Yes, the cheese curds are highly acclaimed. But I just don't see the big deal. They're very salty, and pretty much taste like bite size mozzarella sticks minus the marinara sauce. This seems like a great place to come for ice cream. But since I'm not a big ice cream person, I still don't foresee many Culver's trips in the future. In fact, if I could have my $11 back, I'd take it to Odie's across the street. It's very Yelp cliche to say "I really wanted to like this place.." but it kinda sums up Cluver's only because the staff are really nice and the restaurant is quite sanitary for a fast food joint. read more

I often have a hard time "ranking" food at fast food chain restaurants because it should be the same no matter which store one visits. So in theory the "star" assignment won't vary from store to store. That said, I'll go with a "four" here. I like the fact that Culver's offers a little different variety beyond the usual burger/chicken/fish sandwich menus that most fast food places put out. Sure, they have those, but pot roast and pork sandwiches aren't very common at other fast food outlets, so kudos to Culver's for that. I ordered a pork sandwich - I do wish there were more creative toppings available for it a horseradish option would be interesting. I also decided to order onion rings rather than fries. Awesome idea - these are some of the best O-Rings I've had at a fast food spot. The breading was perfect - not heavy or dominating like most breading found on onion rings. I used the drive up and found my wait to be reasonable - I always expect more of places with drive ups than what is truly possible - if only there was a way to get ones food within thirty seconds of making a payment - but it's just not realistic. I do think the gut working the drive up that night was a Chick-fil-a spin off employee... when I wa finishing my order I said "thank you" and he responded with "my pleasure." I've known this place since the day I started working nearby (about 5 years) and I come here with coworkers or family at times for a yummy lunch meal or sweet treat. It is a bit costly but it's worth it. The burgers are good, but not as beefy as in other places. I've been to this one a few times now(though don't make it out here often), so may as well say I like this location. Staff is pretty decent at this one, and friendly. Both this and the new Lyons location are the closest locations to Chicago, unfortunately. I ordered a Culver's bacon deluxe value basket , it came with no bacon , and I specifically said no pickles and I got pickles , also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which by itself was $5.25 , which is outrageous, the grilled chicken sandwich I couldn't even CHEW, it was like eating tough rubber , the toppings were falling everywhere the chicken was disgusting my bun was soggy , so disappointed spent almost 20$ for my food and threw it all out . It took me a while to start visiiting on a regular basis. When they first opened the place was so busy I had actually one time walked in and walked right back out since the lines were so long. Now even on thier busiest days I get pretty quick service. There are several items on their menu I love like the cheese curds. This is the first place I've ever had basically a cheddar cheese stick instead of mozerella. I've had many of the items on the menu and they were all tasty. I go to Culver's for two reasons: butter burgers and cement mixers. Usually, they're pretty right on with both, and I never have any complaints. However, yesterday I ordered two single Bacon Blue burgers, with fries and onion rings, but what I got was two double burgers of some other kind and no onion rings. I could've gotten downright nasty with this review, but...they redeemed themselves with the raspberry cheesecake cement mixer. Mmmmmm. This is a really nice one. I meet my mom here sometimes for lunch because she works in the area. It's very clean and the workers are really nice. They do get a lot of business especially during lunch on the weekdays because of the industrial buildings in the area. Today was my first time at a Culver's. Tried the Franklin Park location, since I was in the area. I ordered a double deluxe with onion rings and a chocolate shake. Had to try the pot roast sandwich also, since I do love a good roast. The pot roast was good, but a bit dry for a sandwich. Needed some more beef juice or better yet, a splash of gravy. The double butter burger deluxe was ok. It did not live up to the hype. I have had better burgers at local hotdog stands. The shake was ok. Too thick to even drink at first, which is both good and bad. I mean we don't want a watered down, melted shake. Do we? No. But when you can't even get a taste by hoovering the straw, it might as well just be a scoop of ice cream. The star of the meal was the onion rings. Nicely crispy. Not soggy at all. Not too much breading. Not falling apart. So, was my $20 meal worth it? Not really at all. Very overpriced in my opinion. I'm not really a fan of fast food in general. From what I have heard over the years, I really expected something better and more reasonably priced. Could be my first and last Culver's experience. read more

I visited after class for custard since it was so nice outside. I came in and ordered a small with hot caramel and brownie pieces. The cashier was friendly. The problem was I waited more than enough time for it. Not only that but the lady who was making it actually messed it up. It slipped out her hand and the custard spilled she proceed to pick it up with her HAND. And put it all back in the cup. I was honestly grossed out. She handled my ice cream with her own hands and when she was finished gave it to me and there was custard all around the cup. It was really messy and did not even eat it. read more

The fries are blah, but there's ketscup..and you must be a muant if you dont like ketscup . We also ordered the cheese curds, a concept completely new to my friend, but she quickly adapted and even took some home. It didnt take long to get our food, plus the unlimited refills works for this group, who sucked down as much lemonade as the bilding could hold. Culver's is THE best fast food chain I frequent, period.I'm not even a fan of everything I've ordered (the cheese steak sandwich didn't do it for me , can't say it was "bad" though.) . Lets start with the Burgers , my burger of choice is the jumbo bacon cheeseburger. This creation is the thing of food related orgasms , I believe I made an audible gasp of Ecstasy when I first bit into one. I've had the cod sandwich , very good . The walleye sandwich , not as good , stick with the cod. The fried chicken , good , not great, I've ordered it several times so it is at least that good. So to sum up ... Oh yeah , THERES CUSTARD TOO! To be objective , my brother isn't a big fan of the custard , screw him , he could live on ramen noodles for a month, he knows nothing! I am a bit partial too the root beer float (house brand root beer anyone?). The caramel cashew sundae is probably the best sundae you could get , as far as I'm concerned. This review could be used for any of the Culver's I've visited , they are very consistent , I've never been to a bad one. This chain started in Wisconsin , judge for yourself the health ramifications of that , but if you only allow yourself 1 burger a year. Never ever been to a Culver's before. I thought they where like Steak and Shake or something. Stopped at the one In Flossmoor, on Cicero ave. about 207Th st. This is the best fast food anywhere! I got the pot roast sandwich. Fucking wicked amazing! They give you free soft drink refills, someone even comes around and asks if you need another refill or anything else. Clean restrooms, no lines, great service. I'm sad they are not in Chicago. If you see one and you're hungry don't hesitate. Gives the finger to McDonald's. read more
