For a fast food restaurant, this place is pretty good. Located in the Winston Park Plaza Mall in Melrose Park, obviously, there's loads of parking. The food is good, better than your average fast food restaurant. I have had the breakfast sandwich and the cobb salad. I prefer the cobb salad as it is filling and you get your choice of several different dressings. The employees were very nice, including the gentleman who was cleaning the tables. They were also very patient as we had a gift card and the first employee did not know how to use it, but did not get frustrated and was very cordial. There's also a nice children's play area that you can bring the little ones too and have a quiet moment outside for yourself. We both had the cobb salad and sweet tea. The salad is actually one of the better choices, although I do think that it is a little expensive for a so-called fast food restaurant. The cobb salad is 8.45 and the sweet tea is 1.79. Our total bill was 23.04 which is on the high side considering there are a lot of other healthier alternatives. They actually get a 5-star rating for service but a four-star rating for the food prices. read more

Should have checked Yelp before stopping here. Four minutes after food delivered I had eaten several waffle fries which were pretty good. But then I noticed the cheese on my sandwich had not melted at all. The bun was cold and the tomato I paid extra for was mealy. I find the food to cost value on the negative side. WHO YOU CALLIN' CHICKEN? This chain restaurant has a lot of good things going for it, but it's not their sandwiches that stand out the most. It's their hospitality. Everyone - the counter workers, floor manager - is likely the nicest person you'll meet on any given week, always saying a cheerful hello and wishing you a good morning/afternoon/evening depending on the time of day you stop in. And after every interaction, their standard follow up reply is "it's been a pleasure serving you." In fact, the employees at Chick-Fil-A are so tremendously polite, they've caught me off guard a few times. Coming here for lunch in a general daze from work, I've been greeted with genuine smiles and pleasant professionalism. They strive to maintain a clean dining room filled with happy customers and have no problem giving you a free refill (the drink dispensers are behind the counter). The chix sammy has been pretty tasty on most occasions, especially the spicy variant. Once in a rare while I'll get some sketchy tomato slice or wilted lettuce, but those times appear to be far and few between. Chicken tenders appear to be all white meat, from what I could discern. LOTS of dipping sauce choices: honey mustard, ranch, bbq, sweet 'n' sour, and a few other concoctions to dunk your nuggets into. Their condiment bar inside is quite impressive. Mayo, hot sauces, fruit jellys, all plentiful and free for the taking. Also probably the nicest fast food drive thru workers on the planet, wishing that "you have a lovely day, sir." Bread = 3.5 Circuses = 4.5 As with all other Chick-Fil-A's, this location is closed on Sundays. Man this is a sad day in my life. I love Chick-fil-A and this is the easiest one for me to get to from my house, but sadly I'll NEVER return. I've only had Chickfila 3xs since they've been In Chicago. I remember eating them in the south as a kid, but never anything to rave about. I still have the same sentiment. Obvious 10/10. I have been here hundreds of times and I'd say 99/100 times they don't disappoint. Perfect spicy chicken with extra pickles and Chick-fil-A sauce. I've never really been to any other Chik Fil A location in such a long time but this location has a really great staff. They always come by your table to make sure you have everything that you need and if you need any refills on your drink. Plus, it's very spacious and our Couples Group for church usually meets here for lunch on Saturdays. There's about 10 of us that meet together and we address able to all sit together comfortably. We all have small kids that we take with us and they love the little play area that is conveniently located across from where we all sit so we can keep an eye on them. The play area is enclosed in what seems to be soundproof glass so it's not noisy at all and we adults can hear ourselves talk amongst each other. So it's a win win scenario for both adults and children. Plus the food is great. It's real chicken guys!! Not that fake junk that the "other" peeps provide. read more

So i had the spicy chicken deluxe abs orders a chicken tortilla soup.that was really good- has the right amount of spiciness to it .the sane with the sandwich- the right seasoning to make it spicy enough to give it a kick. I ask for American cheese instead of the pepper jack that comes with it. The waffle fries are always fresh, hot, and crispy ( not burnt ). They're starting to pop up more and more around the region here, Chicago and suburbs. I ordered food for my son on 9/21/21 from the Melrose Park location (Winston Plaza). My son use to love Chik-Fil-A until that day. He ate his chicken nuggets and then grabbed his sandwhich. He took a bite and noticed something dark on the bun. When we looked at it closely it's a part of a fly with part of the wing. My son dropped the sandwhich and ran to the bathroom to vomit. We called the restaurant and spoke to the manager he offered a "free" chicken sandwhich. I declined of course. He said this location is a franchise and provided the email to the owner. I emailed the owner and also Chick-fil-A directly with pics and explained what happened. I never received a response from the owner or chik-fil-a. This is disgusting...I contacted the Melrose Park Health Dept. BEWARE..this owner does not care about cleanliness or customers. You lost a loyal customer for lack of communication. read more

I don't understand what's so hard about giving me honey roasted barbecue sauce when I specifically say I want honey roasted barbecue sauce. I let it slide three visits in a row so please don't think I'm being a Karen. But when I receive honey mustard instead or no sauce at all when I ask for a specific sauce, I'm bound to get upset. I'm disappointed that workers really don't know the difference between sauces -- be better. As a previous CFA worker I don't get how this is possible. I even ask at the intercom and add it to my order so it should not be something that is overlooked, especially five visits in a row. It really ruins my meal when I open my bag and see it is not there. It's come to the point where I have to hoard sauce at home in anticipation of knowing you will forget my sauce. I'd like to start by saying that I love Chick-fil-A and this location has been nothing but exceptional... UNTIL TODAY. Let me set the scene for you. My gym is directly across from Chick-fil-a and it's cold out so I am wearing puffy clothes. My meal was large due to dinner and gym. I don't know the exact calorie count of all my food but it may have been pushing 1500. The young lady at the window was very friendly... until she handed me a coupon for a free salad. I just ordered $15 worth of chicken, bread, and fries. Clearly I'm not a rabbit and CLEARLY I'm not watching my weight. However, I know people that like rabbit food and I'll hand it off to them. Everyone is so nice and sweet there especially the manager. It was my first experience in the sit down eating area near the play place. My son love the environment and he was so excited to see that there was another play place other than McDonald. There is a old guy there that does the cleaning and he is very very kind and sweet. And i love how they are all about keeping the area spotless and clean for the next customer. This is the location I have to jump on 290 to get to because my 7 year old loves this place. Sadly the Elmhurst location is minutes away from my home but the owner is so incredibly rude (see review ) It's unfortunate I have to do this to get good service but I'd rather drive 20 minutes rather than get mistreated by the Elmhurst location. Always nice people at the window. I told her about my Elmhurst experience and she was shocked and said that's not like chick fil a bit she has heard horror stories herself. Let me begin my review by stating that I am the biggest Chick-fil-a fan! Prior to Chick-fil-a coming to the Chicago area, I sought out Chick-fil-a while vacationing in Florida and Virginia. Now, there are Chick-fil-a's all over the Chicago area and my family frequents them almost once a week. My favorite parts about dining at Chick-fil-a is that it is always clean, service is superior, and the food is fresh. When we found out we were getting a Chick-fil-A in Melrose Park, we were so excited because this location would be the closest to our home. However, the Melrose Park location does not meet the high standards that we have come to know from this food chain. We have eaten there four times and on each visit we have been left disappointed. Each time, our order has been wrong and the restaurant has been filthy. Today, we stopped in for lunch around 10:50 am (before the lunch rush) and the restaurant was disgusting. After surveying the dining room, I gave up on finding a table and benches that had been cleaned off. I watched as another patron was trying to throw away her trash but could not because the trash was overflowing. When our food arrived, it was missing my sons's fry. When I went up to retrieve the missing item, I alerted the manager to the fact that our order was wrong and the restaurant was really dirty. To which she replied, "When do you normally come in because I work in the mornings." No "sorry" or "how can I make it better?" I then pointed out that I was talking about how currently the restaurant was dirty. After lunch, my children wanted to play on the playground equipment and there was a roll of toilet paper where the shoes are supposed to be. The purpose of this review is not to make Chick-fil-A look bad but hopefully, that they will improve the cleanliness of the restaurant and quality of service. Your typical Chick Fil A franchise. This one is clean and has a play area for kids. It's very small, but it's still cool to see a play room for kids. Food is good, as usual. I enjoy they leave out lots of condiments for you to select. The people taking our order are nice as well. read more

During my last visit, they gave me fries instead of my salad, no forks and ice tea instead of lemonade.
