Wendy's - kids meal - Burgers Near Me - La Mesa, California

Zero stars. I got a burger and a chicken sandwich. Both tasted as if they came right out of the fridge. Meat was cold and tasted so stale and the chicken was hard. What can I expect though fast food Industry as decreased in quality due to pandemic and employee shortages. But this is unacceptable. read more

They have terrible customer service, I had went in yesterday and they had got my complete order wrong. When I had asked for two combo meals and only received one. Then when I had told them they tried saying that I only ordered one when I had made made my order clear. Just every single time I go there, their customer service is horrible and I try giving them chances but they seem to blow it every time. read more

Just went to this location to grab some dinner for the kids and myself. Ordered two kids meals with one extra burger each and a Bacon Jalepeno burger with a lettuce wrap. Got home to find we did not get any kids drinks and were missing one of the extra burgers. My burger, which was supposed to come with a whole slew of toppings, had only the beef patties, bacon, and cheese on lettuce. To top off the whole experience, while eating the fries I suddenly found a long hair in my mouth, at which point I vomited up everything I ate in utter revoltion and disgust. Thanks for a lovely meal Wendy's. We will not be returning. read more

Seriously. Last 2 times I've been here I got home to find a badly messed up order. A 3rd time I got someone else's order completely. Tonight I'm sitting 25 min now in drive thru and have just finally ordered because the door to inside was closed 10 min before it's actually suppose to close... you guys are a joke! read more

The $5.00 meal deal I wound not feed to a stray dog The meat on the double burger would weigh about 5 ounces. Frys has about more salt than a person should have in a month , nuggets where so so To top it off went inside almost all the tables dirty. Two people in head of me took about 8 minutes to order. I will never go back to this location read more

Food was excellent. Only thing is I waited 20 mins for a kids meal and a chicken sandwich combo meal.

Love the new remodel with the big screen TV and fireplace on the wall. Much more cozy than before. I also ordered the double with cheese and fries. The food was great. Burger tasted fresh and the fries were hot. If you haven't tried the hot chili seasoning you're missing out. Also the service was first rate. Very friendly and fast. Glad to see a fast food joint ran at this high level. read more

The chicken and waffles absolutely amazing, I mean its not like roscoe chicken and waffle in LA but I'm not going all the way there during this time. I ordered to go and it was still crispy and warm. read more

Nothing like having the drive-through people mess up your order, try to charge you for things you didn't order at all, then argue with you about it, make racist remarks (apparently mistaking me for something else at that!), and then make you wait an incredibly long time to punish you while they "fix" it and still give you the wrong order. No apologies, not even the fake "sorry for the inconvenience" type. Class act. read more

Great place for a pit stop. The bathrooms were clean. The food was served warm and the order was correct, the manager was friendly. The only thing that sucks is the drink machine inside but regardless, really nice place. read more

My brother and mother did not like the cold food here, and I have never received good service here. The staff are very rude and impatient and don't care about anything. They seem to love forgetting to include entire sandwiches in orders, and when I filed a complaint with corporate several times and agreed to have the manager of this place contact me, I never was contacted by the manager. Clearly no one here cares about you, your food, or anything. Such a shame - growing up, Wendy's was my favorite (in Eastlake), but the staff here have ruined Wendy's entirely. Oh, well. Ever since they switched to natural cut fries, I've been hesitant to eat Wendy's anyway, and these poor staff just gave me a reason to quit and go to In n Out exclusively. read more

The night before I am moving out of state and had no food in our house, we decided to eat out. Wendy's is down the street from us so I went there. It wasn't even dinner time yet but I still spent about 20 minutes in the drive thru (the lockdown has people going through the drive thru). I ordered my food and the person taking the order got it correct on the ticket (double NO KETCHUP, NO MAYO. Well, I get home with the food and go to eat it and there is not just KETCHUP but the thing was bloody covered in it. There was no way I was going to be able to eat it. I call the store and the only reason they got 2 stars is because IDA was nice about it but I was asked to come back - told her it wasn't going to happen to please just credit my card but they couldn't do that. I was told I could get a replacement another time but again, moving states at 6am the next morning. Very disappointed to have that experience and outcome and went to bed without supper since I didn't have time to go back. read more

It is 10:08 pm. I walked in at 9:40. I only ordered my food about 3 minutes ago. Before then, I waited in line. There were only 4 people ahead of me. I have never waited that long to order food at a *fast food* restaurant before. Now 10:11. Got my food and heading out. I could have eaten a regular meal in the time I've spent here. Bye, Wendy's. read more

Worst Wendy's I have ever been to! Every time I come to this location the drive-through line takes forever as well as the line inside. The manager was the one taking orders at the front counter and was taking his sweet ass time also getting frosty's for other customers before taking orders of people that have been waiting forever! Oh and did I mention it smelt like complete ass inside! read more

I went there yesterday during my lunch break and when I got to my car to check my order for accuracy. I found a long black hair on my hamburger. Ugh!!! Yikes!!! Needless to say, I won't be returning! Ugh!!! Wendy's needs to require that all their employees wear a hair net because the young lady that prepared my food, didn't have one on. As a matter of fact nobody in the food preparation area had a hair net on.... Ugh!!!! read more

Pulled into the parking lot around 1:30, prime Lunch hour time. I had to dig for my wallet so I pulled into a spot to find it before hitting the drive thru. I glanced over my shoulder and saw a line of about 10 cars in the drive thru line. I groaned a little but kept looking for my wallet. After about 2 mins of searching, finding it and putting my car into reverse to get into the long line, the line had VANISHED! I pulled right up to the window, gave my order to the so friendly, might have been too friendly worker(maybe the manager) and then drove right to the window without seeing another car. When I pulled up the girl(not the same as the speaker box person) handed me my drink as she took my card, handed me my bag(of special ordered items like no tomatoes) and then my receipt and said bye within about 45 seconds. I am no dummy and have been screwed by fast food places before, so I checked my bag and sure enough everything was there! And No Tomatoes!! I can not believe how fast I received my food, or how fast that line cleared! This Wendy's is Magical. read more

The service was garbage and the fat guy at the window had a dummy attitude and he only gave us 38 out of 40 nuggets that we bought and gave us three packets of ranch and no napkins. Trash service. read more

Worst HORRIBLE customer service at this location! I ask myself every single time why do I come back??! It's the only Wendy's around us.. But man the females who have been there a while are the worst. Grow up and get a different job if you can't handle people!! STAY AWAY! read more

Service is extremely slow in the drive thru waited 30 minutes and there were 10 cars behind me they even started to honk to hurry up. The new frosty waffle cone that I ordered came out mostly melted, I was disappointed. read more

Everytime I order from this Wendy's my order is always messed up. These past few orders i made, i ordered spicy nuggets... but they always give the regular nuggets... even when I ordered from door dash. The sodas are always mixed up, i always get rootbeer instead of a cola... i only come here because its the only close wendys to me, and i wendys is my go to fast food. read more

Okay, I love their food. But their speed and service needs work. Typically, the drive through at late night is slow. If you walk in, its better- but they close the dine in at like 10:30 or 11:00 and drive through is open till 1am i think. On more occasions than I can count, I have waited anywhere from 15-25 minutes to get though the drive through line late at night just to pick up a melted frosty. Why is it melted? Cuz when you order, they get it ready right there. And then it sits on counter till you car pulls up. Yeah, for 10 minutes it sits there melting when they give it to you. Suggestion: order food. Pull up, then order the things that melt. read more

It's Wendy's, therefore, it looks like any other Wendy's in SD. However, the crowd was a little different... I got this two girls teasing me as I walked into the building and since I ignored them they started to insult me. Other than that, it is just wendy's! read more

Love that they make your food fresh, I would rather wait for hot fresh food than rush cold burgers and fries, The young man working the front counter register was very polite and patient even helpful with any questions, if I could leave a tip I would have, Even though some customers seemed bothered by the wait, he's not the one cooking and they do make your food fresh and not to mention its the only fast food location in this area right off a busy freeway exit so obviously during certain times of day its busier than normal, be patient people and stop getying mad at the cashiers their only doing their job, Love Wendys and will keep coming back !! read more

They only had one job to do.. . I ordered the southwestern chicken avocado with no tomatoes.. and they gave us the salad with no avocados ..SMH read more

I've never encountered slower "fast food" in my life. If you are going to come here, know you're gonna spend at least 20-30 in line and waiting for your food. The staff is slow and incompetent. The only reason I come here is because it's the closest fast food and I like their salads. Don't ever come here expecting "fast" food! read more

Do not eat at this Wendy's. I've been here a handful of times and they can NEVER get the order correct in the drive-thru. It doesn't matter if its a small order, a medium order, or a large order. They never get it right. And while I Have glanced in the bag to check my order, I hadn't opened up each burger wrapper to make sure what's inside is what I actually ordered. I also hadn't opened every chili cup to make sure they actually filled it up with the appropriate amount of chili. I figure it isn't rocket science to bag up an order so it can't be THAT messed up right ?! Or is it?? read more

Don't know where to begin but, Ill start by saying that this is my local wendy's & I came in to buy food for the family & I. & the first thing i noticed that the drive thru was packed so I decided to go inside and order. As I was the only customer in line I figured I would get service right away. That didn't happen so moments later a couple walked win some how the guy that noticed me waiting to order decided to skip me and help that couple that just walked in. I raised my shoulders to my ears and hands as he took there order. he noticed me doing my body language and decided to ignore me and continue taking there order. so i waited a few more minutes "Oh" well no big deal. But what really got my is that when I got home 3-4 minute drive. I expect the food to be warm butttt....... no food was cold my 4 year old said "Dad I don't want cold food" when i got to open my bag I swear my food was cold. 6 out of the 8 meals I ordered where cold i'm really annoyed so if this place is busy don't go buying food just go to next burger spot down the street. read more

Well, no wonder. I ordered from Wendy's using Door Dash. So far, the service has been GREAT (shout out to Door Dash), and my orders have been in point! This was my first order from Wendy's. I usually go to the restaurant, but I figured, WTH? I ordered a single with lettuce, tomato, and onion only, a sour cream and chive potato with extra butter, and chili cheese fries. I have ordered from places much farther than this location, and my food was hot and tasty! I give Wendy's two stars ONLY because my food was hot! My burger had cheese and seemed as though it was just out in the bag with no regard as to whether or not it was the right burger...it wasn't! My fries were hot but not even the fries outside of the sauce were crisp. It was like eating chili with French fries in it. I guess you can't screw up a baked potato that doesn't have anything on it, but I didn't get my extra butter. So, I said, "No wonder," at the beginning of my post because I should have checked their rating BEFORE I ordered! Very disappointed in what is USUALLY a good fast food meal! read more

This fast food no good, complete ripped off. Got a kid meal , all in there is just a small fries and a small drink. And was charged $4.08. I don't know what happen to the cheese burger. Is not even busy. As a matter of fact I'm just the customer inside. No good. I don't usually eat fast food except mcdonald but wendys closed to me coz I was starving but what a bad experience. I shud just have gone to the gas station and got hotdog for a dollar. I'm never coming back there for sure. No star rating for this zero. But this review u have to select a star to closed it. read more

So a few weeks back, I decided to eat at wendy's because I haven't ate there in awhile. I got a Dave's double cheese burger. Order was correct, everything looked normal. Next thing I know I'm throwing up uncontrollably. 3 days straight. Turns out I had got food poisoning and it developed into a virus. My wife n kids also start showing symptoms like I did after eating here.! Idk what was going on with the food but something must have went bad. A day after we had this issue on my wife's friend eat there and she also had stomach issues. At that point I was convinced it was this Wendy's. I will not be eating at this location again that's for sure. read more

My experience at this particular Wendy's was decent. It's a typical interior, totally outdated weird ambiance, mediocre food, but I will say that our order came out quick and the guy at the counter was super nice. I really don't like fast food joints that don't give me access to the soda fountain, so I subtract some stars based on that. read more

Rated 2. They could do a whole lot better. 99c menu has gotten smaller & a customer ahead of me ordered a baconator & they FORGET the friggin bacon. At least the manager came out & asked everyone "How's the food?" & "Can I get you anything?" read more

Food is decent, but inn multiple occasions they've forgotten an item from our order. Gotten home and we were missing something we paid for. Not close enough to drive back. read more

You don't see to many Wendy's here like you do in the south and midwest. I hope that doesn't deter their corporate initiative from the new branding campaign. The new Wendy's looks more like a hipster lounge than a fast food joint, complete with couches, free WiFi and outside seating. I haven't seen any indicators at this location that this one will, although it is much needed. Nonetheless, it's still my go to spot when I want a fully loaded baked potato. Wendy's is also my 1st choice over Mickey D's. The employees here are unbelievably polite and mannerable. Because of the precarious location at the fork of the freeway entry and exit, the driveway can easily be missed. If you miss it you're pretty much screwed. The best way to enter is to use driveway at IHOP and cross through the parking lot. read more

The staff needs to really pick it up, wait line in the drive thru always takes forever. This time we decided to go inside instead, first impression the place is dirty. I figured I'd take the order to go, 35 mins later we are still waiting and the people in front of our order don't have any food yet. Drive thru seems to be moving but the customers inside, not a chance. What is taking so long? Like I said the place is dirty dirty dirty! Health inspection would shut it down in a heart beat! I don't understand how they have a grade A on the window? A surprise inspection should be the answer. read more

When you see that Wendy's has a long drive thru line and decide to go into the restaurant to order for to go... And they still mess up the most SIMPLIST order, you might as well assume you aren't going to ever get the right food! 2 double hamburgers, both no cheese and one with pickles the other without onion.... Two small fries. I'm sorry not to be cruel but even if I was blind I wouldn't mess up such a simple order. As the saying goes "They f*** you through the drive thru but also walking in too!" read more

This place has absolutely the worst customer service. Every single time I go through the drive-thru they get my order wrong. I just went in to get a quick hamburger took 17 minutes to get it with one person in front of me when I got there. read more

Typical Wendy's location but here, they complete the food usually before I even get to the window which is great had they added napkins or asked if I wanted ketchup etc. Even forgot the straw when handin me the bag and drink. I think on this day the drive thru cashier was biting more than watch she could chew because I was getting irritated when I was asking for pepper and ketchup and my straw as she was taking another order with her head set for the other car. I think they should at any drive thru location ensure the present customer at window is taken throughly taken care of prior to just slamming in orders and not giving a squat about the little details of a complete order. I come here on occasion, so its hit or miss with customer service. Food was typical as any other Wendy's locations, fries were just cooked, burgers were hitting the spot! read more
