The staff focused on the drive-thru but was finally greeted and ordered, a basic chili which they had to get a fresh batch from the back. Right next to Home Depot, this place is right where you need it when you are desperate. They don't have a lot of frills but they get the job done. This Wendy's isn't bad. It's small but I had a good experience. Very average. read more

Why is it always cold in Wendy's. In the summer the AC on full blast. In the winter they don't even touch the heat. Stopped here to fill up on the way to Nassau coliseum. I love the new expanded menu and app gives some great deals. They were running a 2 for $5 special in the store, which included Dave's single and the spicy chicken and m sandwich. The app had the double cheese combo for $5. I was your at first but ultimately went with the combo meal. There weren't many customers staying to eat so the dining room was pretty empty. ... And messy. Seemed like they had a skeleton crew working for a Saturday night. But this might be the norm for long island. read more

I visited Wendy's on Saturday, July 9th at 12noon. I was the only customer waiting on line and saw the girl behind the counter who seemed to be busy with something. She saw me waiting but continued what she was doing. I waited a few minutes for her to finish. Finally I went up closer to see what she was doing and to my shock she was texting!!!! I asked her if I could give her my order and she put the cell down and assisted me. Next problem... after paying my bill, I realized she shorted me. I handed her exactly what she had just given me and said u didn't give me the right change. At first she started to dispute me but then gave me the correct amount. I tried this Wendy's late last night (11-14-14) at approximately 1:30am. As per Yelp, it was the closest one to me on the way home. True. As per Yelp, it is open until 2am. Half true. The reason I say half true, is because I HATE Drive-Thrus. It's a personal thing, where I don't like to keep the car behind me waiting because I ask questions about the food and take my time deciding what to get. So, I walked up to the door, frantic to make it before close because my tummy was grumbling and it was over 12 hours since I has eaten lunch, and the sign on the door says they're open till 2am. I pull on the handle and it doesn't budge. NO WHERE ON THE DOORS NOR WINDOWS DOES IT SAY THAT AT A CERTAIN TIME THE INSIDE CLOSES. What?!? Do you have to be a Wendy's junkie to know that? Apparently so. I don't eat fast food often, so I wouldn't know. In fact, I AVOID fast food as often as possible. So, I walked over to the window and noticed no one. I walked to the next window and noticed a girl labeling packages, and I knocked. I got her attention, but she was so rude. She deliberately ignored me the first few knocks. Then, I pointed to the main entry and asked, and she said "NO!" and then I was about to ask her about the drive through and she put her head down to ignore me some more .. after about five minutes of knocking and waiting there for an answer in the freezing weather, she finally looked up again, and acknowledged. Couldn't she have simply opened the window a crack to speak to me, but not let all of the heat escape?! That Wendy's is located in a 99% safe neighborhood, and I posed no threat, nor did I look shady at that time. So, I go around to my car and get to the drive thru, i let one car go in just as I was turning around, and low and behold as I enter onwards there's a car impatiently waiting behind me. @#$%^! So, I ask my questions and place my order. Then, at the window I end up waiting 10 minutes for my order to come out. Ridiculous, I thought this was fast food! Upon reaching my friend and noshing on our eats together, The fries were a bit unfresh and the chicken sandwich did smell odd - I don't know if it was the sauce or the chicken. The rest of it was okay, though. I don't know what my friend thought of her food. Regardless, I'm probably less likely to go back to that Wendy's after the rude and slow service. read more

I had to stop and get daughter some fries on the road so we stopped at Wendy's. I ordered a large fry that cost $3.25 (ridiculous) and the container was not even full, I looked at the woman and said that much for fries and it's not even full? She gave me a dirty look and continued to help the next person in the drive through line. Across the street is McDonalds and one street up is Burger King, so thanks to the lady working the drive through on September 16th @ 1:30 I will not be stopping there again. read more

Service was good, but totally stale bottom buns on 3 of the dry burgers is simply unacceptable. Another visit in the past I ordered a premium spicy chicken sandwich combo and the chicken was tough like rubber and stringy. It was totally inedible and I completely forgot about that experience; this just reminded me. This was not the first bad experience we had at this location, it will be the last. This Wendy's just keeps sh*tting on me. You'd think I'd stay away BUT it was HOT and I was DYING for a Frosty (shake) and this is on my way to work. Tag sign on the door says "Frosty .50 Cents". I was all "OK some bull-crap gimmick". Like a 50 cent Frosty with the purchase of a small ride-on lawnmower OR the 50 cent Frosty came in a shot glass OR some other brand of TRICKERY that THIS location is known for! Shady sh*t always going on here! So. I order a Large Frosty. I was expecting a Large like when you get a McDonalds shake--the cup is obviously larger than the other cups. I guess that makes it Large. Are you with me? Silly me. Lady at register presents me with a Medium looking cup of Frosty. I was all "That's a Large?" She was all "Um hum". I'd hate to see the small one! This Wendy's Is a complete joke is it worth saving .03 cents per sauce packet? I ask for sauce for 20 nuggets and receive 1 pack when I ask for multiple packets. If this happened to me once at this location it wouldn't have been a big deal but this is about the 4th time it has happened and im just completely fed up. Why do you want to skimp your customers I just dont get the logic behind this. Cheapos.... the guy who owns this chain probably has a ton of cash and he has his employees doing inventory on packets of sauce such a cheapskate! I normally would not take time to write a negative review but, after my tonight's visit, I am compelled to share my disappointment with others. I ordered a large grilled chicken sandwich with a second one using a Wendy's coupon, to my disappointment...the lady told me "sorry we are closed then she said nope we don't have that order another sandwich" since I was already at the drive thru...I ordered spicy chicken sandwich...plus 2nd that would come with the coupon. I wasn't very happy but still looking forward to enjoy my spicy chicken sandwich. I got home within 5 minutes...and quickly went for my sandwich....to add to my disappointment...which at this point turned into little anger....b/c both sandwiches were cold and completely dry...it seemed as if they probably had both sandwiches made earlier in day. I ended up throwing both in the garbage and I never waste food. I would never go back to this Wendy's. read more

I've been to this Wendy's location many times and this last time will be the last. I was served the wrong order by a cashier who then gave me a horrible attitude. I took the survey on the receipt to alert management of the multiple issues I experienced during this visit and the franchise owner replied back by offering coupons for free food. I told him I was not looking for free food. The problem at hand was poor employee training, poor customer service and poor signage. Franchise owner just sought to quiet me and sweep the problems under the carpet. This lack of concern for fixing the problem is a reflection of why the employee shows no respect and offers poor customer service. read more

Before getting back to the hotel in the rain at around 1 a.m., my friend and I needed a place close enough in the area to get something in our stomachs. This would be our only meal of the day (unless you count the muffin we had in the morning at the airport, and the cinnabun we had as a lunch snack from the hotel vending machine, because we were too busy trying to do as much sight-seeing as possible in our only day in NY). Wendy's fit the bill, as it is open late and is quick. We got our food quickly in the drive-thru (we were the only ones in line), and the food was the same as it would have been in FL. The fries were nice and hot, and they put too much ice in the soda -- as usual. Typical Wendy's drive-thru and food prep otherwise. Don't expect healthy food or gourmet eating here, but you should never be expecting that at any Wendy's location anyway. read more

When I went through the drive through, after waiting on a long line, they did not give me a straw. When I realizes this I turned around and went back for a straw. They wouldn't let me in the store. They have an expensive piece of real estate in a prime location, but it all breaks down if you don't spend what you have to to get good employees. read more

This place is just bad. I got to the window and simply asked for a large number 3 with no pickles. I didn't say um I didn't pause. And yet I had to repeat myself 3 times. Then after the third time he asked if I wanted a large medium or small. That should have been when Ieft, but I didn't I just wanted the food. So after he handed me the bag he asked if I wanted ketchup, I said no. Mayo please. So then he hands me the bag with one receipt for a bottle of water. Then I look in the bag... No mayo, so I'm okay at this point because I just want to eat... Then I look at the burger.... It has pickles on it.... You would think after the third time they would understand what no pickles means but no... Needless to say, I understand why they are working at Wendy's.
