After a tremendous amount of walking and working at Prospect Park, and before more walking at the Botanical gardens, I decided to grab a quick bite here, being conveniently "sandwiched" between the two spots. When it comes to fast food chains in my area, i tend to have very low expectations because...well, its Flatbush.. Nonetheless, on the rare occasions that im craving Wendy's, its usually during the day so i really have no complaints about that. However, the late night crew always seems to leave a bad taste in my mouth (Both Figuretly and literally). Came here on a few occasions after a night of partying and the drive thru employees are very rude. The food tastes stale and they usually don't have most stuff on the menu. Im assuming there is no Manager on duty during the late night shift and if so, then they must hate their jobs too, cause i can't imagine a manager allowing that kind of behavior to go on. Overall i gave it two stars just soley based off the convenient location and being my second favorite burger joint( First place is Shake Shake). My advice to the miserable staff working the graveyard shift...if you don't like your job, change your hours or motivate yourself to find something better that doesn't require so much customer interaction. read more

Patronized this Wendys recently. The restaurant wasn't clean. Tables hadn't been wiped down, the cashier had attitude and was standoffish. undesirables hanging out. There was even a argument because a group of men were playing cards, and one thought the other was cheating. The food on the other hand, was pretty good. These mother Fockers are so unorganized and lack so much customer service skills. They need to be shut tf down. I came inside with 1 person on the line and the customer stated to me that the cashier could not take orders because she was waiting for a person that had apparently ordered and left the establishment for some odd apparent reason only to return shortly with another individual just to pay for the order. I asked why isn't another register open or to address the matter by the manager and the manger rudely stated that only one register was open. So I walked away, because they seemed to be catering To their own kind due to the fact they did not acknowledge customer service skills at all and the person they were waiting on was the same ethnicity as the cashier and manager. Haven't been here in over a year, I think. Though the staff has changed, the service hasn't. Their speed has slightly improved. However, the staff is miserable and they don't attempt to hide it. No smiles, no "thank you' s", no "have a nice day"- you're lucky if you get a moment of eye contact. They call your number & hand you your bag. I'm not expecting Zagat level service, but a little kindness could help ensure you get repeat customers & keep a job. This place has been lucky over the years. In addition to that my order took forever, and what was more upsetting is that waiting so long , the order that I received was wrong. I came in in a good mood. Line was long as usual. I ordered the number one with lite mayo and no tomatoes. The wait was about 7 minutes. My order was left on the table because they allow people to just stand in the way. Then I saw the dark burger unlike the brown and juicy image you see in their ads. The girl, no name id and horrible attitude tried to act as though she didn't see me, I told her that the burger seemed microwaved. She mumbled under her breath that "we don't microwave ". She handed me a burger that had tomatoes on it why? You had to be right instead of satisfying the customer. Any Wendy's that's located in a black neighborhood, this is the attitude of the staff. I LOVE Wendy's. They have the absolute best burgers, in my opinion. However, this Wendy's sucks! Maybe we came at a bad time, I don't know, but it sucked. The average customers of this fast food restaurant can be a little sketchy looking and the cashier girls seem like they have an attitude but they don't really. I will look grumpy too if I had to deal with rude customers for several hours. Sometimes you might have to wait in line for a little longer than usual, but the food makes up for it. It's fast food served super slow. The drive thru is open until 4 am so that's cool for late night munchies but the amount of rats running around the parking area. I've got a strong stomach so that ain't stopping me plus it's Brooklyn, there's rats everywhere. Once you get past the long wait for your food and the parking lot rats the food is average Wendy's quality so don't go expecting something special. read more

Service was speedy again but 2 individuals begged for money directly in front of the cashier and about half the tables were filthy. I mean, it's a Wendy's. I come here a couple times a month at most. There are some rude and/or out-of-it customers who tend to cause scenes with the cashiers and hold up the line. But it's cheap and dependable if you want two double cheeseburgers for under $5, which I do, sometimes.
