Me and my mom went to this Wendy's after a long day we ordered fries, chicken nuggets, and chicken tenders. It was not that good so basically we were very hungry. Basically the girl who told us our order told us to move up for the front so we did we waited at least 20 to 15 minutes and then I decided to look back through the back window of our car. Another car that has been there for less time than us has already gotten their order. I was very confused because we didn't order that much. Then after another 10 minutes of waiting, we got our food. The fries were entangled and looked mangled and were genuinely gross and they were all stuck together. I do have to say one time my cousin went, and then the food gave her food poisoning she ordered the chicken nuggets. But to put some light on this Wendy's one time I went and there was a very nice man and he was awesome and they need more employees like him I don't remember his name I remember he had glasses and he was black and tall he was very nice and was joking around with me and my friend, also overall the food is very mid. As I pulled up to the drive-through ordering kiosk and ordered my burger, I specified NO CHEESE in a Loud and Clear voice. Why the emphasis? asked the clerk, whose name I later learned from seeing him at the pay window was Jose. Because you guys sometimes get it wrong, I said. Doesn't matter what the website or hours say on Yelp. I came here in the middle of the day and they were closed. The dining room is disgusting. Almost none of the tables are wiped down, and a big group of managers were in a corner of the room having a meeting--not a single one made a move to clean anything up even though several got up from time to time. I come here because there are only two drive-thru restaurants in town and the other one is Taco Bell. Problem is, they have gotten my orders wrong more than they've gotten them right. The drive through is odd. They need a new drive through voice machine because they can barely hear the customers through the drive through. They also have to type in your cc if its a Mastercard manually into the register which is weird. This plaza is vagabond central in Ashland for some reason so always expect them to be hanging outside the Wendy's. This place isnt terrible per say. I come here at least once or twice a week. It aint to bad of a place. I suggest baconator fries and chicken blt 4$ meal as well as frostys. Wish they had oreo frostys doe. read more

I have eaten here for years and it's a 2 Star at the best of times. Let's be honest, it's fast food, not fine dining. In addition, they've always been the slowest fast food joint I've ever been to. Lately it has been getting significantly worse to where they do not deserve a single star. Went in this afternoon and stood at line at 5:00pm, only the 3rd person in line. It took 19 min to get my order taken. Then, after waiting another 30 min I had to get in line again to cancel my order and go somewhere else for food. At 5:54pm I finally left empty handed just like the two people in front of me that also cancelled their orders and went away disappoint. It ain't fast food if it takes longer than an hour! They had 3 employees staffed. One working front cashier/deep fryer, one working assembly line & drive-thru, and one guy pushing a broom who wasn't doing a very good job considering the place was beyond disgusting. Eventually the manager came out of the back and grumbled at the front counter trying to help out but kept mixing everyone's orders up. Hey, at least they are still acting as Ashland's only Homeless Shelter, so I guess that will make up for getting 1 Star instead of 0 Stars...although you now need a key to use the bathroom because of that, so maybe that's a wash. read more

There are 6 employee cars in the parking lot and there are at least five employees working inside you can see through the window, but they are closed and will not answer the drive thru window. The rest of the staff seemed very stressed out so of course I was very patient with the woman taking my order in the drive-thru. As I made it to the second window. The supervisor pushed the woman out of the window so he could do it. He was basically throwing my drinks at me because he was in such a rush. The woman just stood there to the side of him and watched. The supervisor seemed more worried about speed than quality of service. I mean if I'm being honest here it wasn't done any faster even if she was doing it instead. I mean clearly the cashier needs to be trained how to be efficient to multitask properly in fast food. I was on foot late tonight. I walked 20 minutes from my hotel to a grocery store and 15 minutes back, planning to stop by Wendy's for food to take back to the hotel. I drove eight hours today without a real meal since breakfast. When I got to Wendy's, I found that the lobby was closed for cleaning. Since there were no cars in line, I pleaded with them to serve me through the drive through. Although I know it's not usually allowed, the manager was so awesome. I usually don't waste my time reviewing fast food restaurants, as I believe people assume that the service at these establishments is, on average, less than stellar. However, Mark is so right. Ashland Wendy's has awful service. The employees are congenial enough, but they consistently get orders wrong. Once, my friend and I went through the drive through and ordered one frosty, and were handed three bags full of burgers. This same scenario has occurred time and time again. We return every once in awhile because my fiance enjoys ordering a chicken sandwich every once in awhile, but we tend to avoid the drive through and speak slowly and clearly while placing our order. read more

For those complaining about how they don't care about the restaurant being clean, give them a break. I've work fast food and because understaffed often takes a toll especially whenever I go they are usually always busy so no, they can't always get to around cleaning and with their GM literally do nothing ever to help out. I think they do a great job for what the circumstances are. In terms of the keys, I think it's great to get the druggies out. Can't tell you how many times I find needles or questionable stuff in the ladies bathroom and since they added keys, it's stopped. Customer service was not the best as it has been in the past. Not sure if it's just COVID-19 but the service was not at the standards it should be. Coming from someone who works in food service and understanding the expression "fake it til you make it", was not expressed with my interacting tonight. I get it in a sense of dealing with angry customers or them complaining - which was not coming from me - I work in food service. I usually have more sympathy but to not get a "have a good night" or "enjoy your evening" or even a smile, was pretty rude.
