This makes absolutely no sense, considering my daughter was just seen there a couple days ago and my insurance has not changed at all. Instead of double checking or trying to resolve it, the front desk employee simply turned us away after we had already gone through the check-in process. It was a complete waste of time and incredibly frustrating, especially having to bring my child in just to be turned away like that. This should have been verified before check-in, especially for a family that has been established with this office for years. The way it was handled was rude and lazy. No effort to help, no explanation, nothing. If this is how they treat people who've been coming here for years.

I have been coming to this clinic for a couple of years to avail myself of the sexual health…read moreclinic. The place was never a paragon for efficiency or excelled in any way, but I recognized its worth as a walk-in clinic in an underserved area and I put up with the odd nuisance. My visit a few months ago however was a disaster that forever swore me off this place and I would advise anyone but those folks who have no other options to chance it. Everything on my visit went to ***, starting with a young provider who admitted he was in training for just a couple of months (and still was not supervised or accompanied by his trainer) who had to pop out every few minutes to ask "if we can do that" and who almost swabbed my throat with the swab already used for another test (ewww). Things really went downhill when I went to the lab to get my blood tests; when I got there, I noticed two people already checked in ahead of me who were sitting and waiting. I signed myself in and waited for about 25 minutes myself - after already spending an hour and a half in this place even though I had an appointment I had arrived promptly for. After those 25 minutes had elapsed and the door to the lab remained closed with no one calling patients, I went to a gentleman who appeared to be some sort of concierge and asked him to check with the lab if they were aware that there were patients waiting there for over half an hour (including the people who were already there waiting before me). He obliged and did so, and when he emerged from the lab he said someone was coming. And sure enough, SHE DID. A person emerged from the lab and without drawing in a breath tore into the poor youth who had been waiting there the longest, confronting him why he had the temerity to complain and lie that he was waiting there for half an hour. I drew her attention away from the underserving victim and said it was me. She then fixated me with her gaze and yelled at me that I had not been waiting for half an hour since I had signed at XX:XX. I said yes, at this point it had been about 25 minutes, but people had been waiting before I got there, which made it half an hour FOR THEM. She then yelled me again to "not be telling no lies as that makes it look like they're not doing their jobs." At this point I walked away and asked the concierge for assistance in filing a complaint. He was very obliging and tried to help, but after half an hour spending going from floor to floor and room to room he said no one was availalbe to take my complaint and promised he would have the responsible person call me. At that point, I left because I was not about to have someone who was verbally abusive or her colleagues stick a needle in my arm. To summarize the next couple of weeks, it took a while to get a call from the liason in charge of complaints, who mouthed a lot of platitudes but had little to show for it. In the end, I did get a call from the lab director, but other than "reassuring" me and apologizing to me he could highlight no definitive actions taken against the person he employed or any meaningful corrective action. On top of that, he could not explain the final nail in the coffin - why two out of the four swab tests had not come back or resulted. In summary, I will NOT trust my health to a clinic where a) a swab already used for one test can be used to swab you again, b) unsupervised personnel in training is not accompanied by a - imagine that - a supervisor, c) the lab staff makes people wait inordinately long for no reason at all and then d) yells at and abuses the patients who dare raise questions, only to e) have the liason responsible for complaints not be found for days until he is and then he is ineffective, topping it all with f) the lab director neither being able to explain how 2 out of 4 swab test results never came back and then failed to outline any concrete steps to discipline an abusive employee or to implement a concrete plan to root out these serious and unsafe practices.

It's right in the Roosevelt Collection which has a huge parking lot, and thankfully they validate your parking. It was super quiet and basically empty when I arrived, save for the woman working doing intake. She was very kind and professional and the intake was fast and easy. After I filled out the forms I had a seat and not even two minutes later a nurse took me back to a room to take my vitals. She rinsed out the wound and then left and a minute later the doctor came in. She explained it was good that I came in even though the wound was small because without antibiotics it was likely to get infected. She prescribed me a course of preventative antibiotics and let me know to come back if it got worse. I'm sure I was lucky to get there when it was quiet and not at all busy, but overall my experience was ideal and exactly what I had hoped for. I'll definitely be going back to this location if I need to go to urgent care again in the future.

I fell a couple of blocks from home, had to skate home, then my husband drove us here. Luckily we already knew about this place. I got in to Premier Urgent care right away, got an X-Ray right away, was taken over to the other side of the building to CCSMO right away, saw Orthopedic Surgen Dr. Robert Coats right away, he did more X-Rays right away, reset my wrist, scanned the wrist again, determined it did not need surgery, and put the cast on, did more scans to make sure the cast was perfect. I fell just before 2pm on Monday and was treated and home with my cast just before 4pm. Less than 2 hours for repairing a broken bone! I was incredibly impressed. As if that wasn't enough, everyone was so kind and helpful. All of the doctors, nurses, X-Ray technician, the other staff, really everyone is wonderful.

First of all the surgery center reminds me of an illegal abortion clinic in the Philippines, very scary place. Secondly my attempts to get copies of my medical records have been unsuccessful. I have been trying to get copies of them so that I can go to the RUSH Pain Center which was recommended to me as IPM is a literal nightmare. I have never experienced such a disorganized doctors office with no returned phones calls, no follow up on requests for refills etc etc. I went through a terrible withdrawal from going cold turkey on my meds TWICE due to the fact that no one responds to any phone calls. The pharmacy is In California and is mailed to you so the it takes weeks to get the medication. This year I bit the bullet and bought a much more expensive medical insurance plan so that I could go to a legitimate professional pain center such as at RUSH University. I weaned myself off of the medication I was on so as not to experience the horrible horrible withdrawal symptoms I experienced twice while going to IPM. Now I am living in pain each day at a time waiting for them to give my copies of my medical records so that I can go to another doctor. My next steps will be legal action if I do not receive the medical records by the end of this week. Stay away!

My pain was so bad I finally called my insurance company (Cigna) and asked for in network providers in my area. That's how I found Dr. McGowan. Now I would like to note that I NEVER visit a physician, restaurant, or any business other than what's normal for day to day activity (CVS or Target) without checking their Yelp reviews. My insurance gave me 3 providers, none of which had great reviews *rolls eyes at insurance company* I ended up giving this office a shot because they only had 7 reviews. I feel like less than 10 isn't an accurate assessment (good or bad). The other providers I was given had more bad reviews which tells me that that is the culture within their organizations. The reviews from here weren't coming from fellow Yelp Elite. If I see that someone setup a Yelp account just to write 1 good or bad review I pretty much ignore it. Glad I went with my gut. My appointments went great! I made my initial appointment over the phone. When I came in for both my consultation and follow up visit, I was greeted right away. I think the front desk receptionist's name is Veronica. She was nice. I didn't have to wait long at all to see Dr.McGowan so that is a major plus. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. I first visited the office in mid September. Dr. McGowan sent me to get an epidural at the surgical center on Fullerton 2 weeks after my consultation. Then I waited another 2 weeks for my follow up, which was today. I would definitely recommend Dr. McGowan.
