Extremely unprofessional experience with **DGOS Design & Build Construction**. I would not…read morerecommend them. I explained from the beginning that I wanted a very straightforward kitchen remodel: remove the existing cabinets and countertops and replace them with new ones, **keeping the exact same layout**. I was not moving the sink, stove, refrigerator, walls, or electrical locations. My budget was around **$40,000**, so price was not the issue. What bothered me was being quoted roughly **$3,000 for plumbing and electrical work** that I did not understand or request. When I asked why this was necessary, I was told about electrical work, circuits, drywall, etc. I repeatedly explained that I wasn't asking for those changes and simply wanted to understand what I was paying for. Instead of clearly explaining and justifying the charge, the contractor became defensive and told me that customers need to trust them and shouldn't question their work. He then said we were "not a good fit" and mentioned that their minimum kitchen project is around $25,000. I was completely willing to spend $35,000-$40,000 on my kitchen. I would happily pay thousands more for better cabinets, better countertops, or better workmanship. What I will NOT do is write a blank check for work I don't understand simply because a contractor tells me to trust them. **Trust is earned through transparency.** If I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars, I have every right to ask what I'm paying for and why it's necessary. At that point, I asked him to leave my home. Based on my experience, if you expect a contractor to clearly explain the scope of work and justify significant charges when you ask questions, I would look elsewhere.

Derek and DGOC were great throughout the entire process in our small bathroom remodel. There was…read moresome construction with walls and ceilings being moved as well as a pocket door being installed which really opened up the space, but they made sure the rest of the house wasn't impacted. Derek took his time in listening to what my Wife and I were looking for and made the dream into a reality. He even went shopping with her to make sure we had a say in the look and materials being chosen. He was on site most mornings making sure the crew knew what needed to be done. I have heard horror stories in GC's disappearing after the project starts, but it was the opposite with Derek. Pricing was also upfront so there were no surprises. His team were punctual and very professional and really took their time to get it right. They didn't guess on what we wanted and included us in all relevant conversations and decisions. We are more than happy with the result and friends and family have joined us in being blown away by the result. What a difference! Thanks DGOC, you will definitely be hearing from us again!

First impression Matters. Process Matters. Follow-through Matter. Promise Kept Matters…read more First impression matters because from the first phone call, I did not quite know what I wanted. I had a laundry list of things that I had in mind that included painting of the house, remodeling the bathroom, redo the cabinet to accommodate a built in coffee maker, and a slew of other items that I wanted done. All of these needed to be done within a two week short timeframe. This seemed like an impossible task during that phone call. I spoke with Karen and she was able to capture all that information in about a two minute conversation. We scheduled a consultation with Kevin and about two minutes later she was able to recap that information on a calendar invite. It was a very clear and concise list of things that I needed to get done. Later, I was incredibly impressed with Kevin during my consultation. He did not try to upsell me any product. He was very transparent, upfront, clear and realistic with what can be done and what cannot be done. I was very concerned that the project could not be done within the two weeks. After I explain to him why I needed the short time period for the project to be done. He was compassionate enough to move some of his projects to prioritize my project. His team was on time every day and worked on my project nonstop every single day. Unlike prior contractors that I had worked with who came and worked a couple hours each day, Kevin's team was here every single day of the week, working a full day each day, They cleaned up after themselves every day and they were respectful and professional. Kevin was very responsive and was in contact with me every day. He answered all my questions and followed up with me on all my concerns. It took a complete two weeks, but Kevin and his team completed our project as promised. We are extremely happy with Venguard Construction, their personnel, and our finished product. In today's high paced world, it is refreshing to come across a company who truly puts the customers first. We recommend Venguard Construction and Kevin.

This is an overdue review, but i wanted to wait at least 6 months to write out a full review!…read more It was my first time renovating anything. I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them.
