Gel manicure that's supposed to last minimum 2 weeks chipped the next day. Unacceptable

I have been getting my nails done for years from the cheap of the cheap to the most expensive Japanese gel nail imaginable (full disclosure: for my own wedding but yes a huge first world indulgence). This ranks as one of the worst first world rum of the mill nail experiences ever. First, why on earth would it ever cost $5 extra for so called new regular opi nail color? Second, the extremely brusque manager started my pedicure and just walked away. Not even a, oh please wait. No she walked away and just stood next to the register. Oh, guess what, surprise, I understood the Korean you were speaking and all your complaints. Not cool. Third, for a $35 mani/pedi outside of the city, there should be at least some graciousness. Another tech came over to continue the mani/pedi and was going to cut callouses to which she abruptly stopped right when the brusque manager screamed across the salon, "No! $35! Only $35!" Finally, the end product? Sub-par. Convenience on Mamaroneck may be a reason to come here but the rude callousness in the service is well worth never patronizing this place ever again. read more

I went to the nail salon to get my eyebrows done and the girl did a wonderful job perfect and she only charge me $10

So I gave this place another go. The lady that did my nails was Sherry - very good. she did my feet very well and the 15 minute massage was very relaxing. going back to her. I guess by culture, their tones (the way they speak) are very abrupt so they sound very pushy almost borderline rude (and sometimes they are). if you can look past that, and find a person that does a good job, then a trip there is tolerable. read more

My previous review was not showing up, so I reposted my review: Horrible place! This salon also goes by the name Pro Nails. On Saturday, I attempted to get a manicure here. Sherry, the woman that I had, cut my cuticles so much that 6 of my fingers bled. She didn't think it was a problem and just kept going on with the manicure, which was going to be Shellac. I immediately took my bleeding nails away from her hands and asked how it could be safe to go on with a manicure given my nails were bleeding and she insisted it would be fine. Umm wtf no! One of the other ladies came by, guessing she was the one in charge and asked what happened. I showed her my nails and asked how can someone say that I can continue my manicure like this, bleeding like this isn't normal. The woman in charge said, "do you have diabetes? Is that why you are bleeding so much?" No woman, I don't have diabetes! Your woman butchered my poor nails!! I obviously didn't pay and while I was waiting for my friend to finish her manicure all the other ladies working there came by to see my bloody nails as if I was an attraction. No one apologized at all! Will never ever go to place again! I suggest going to the salon across the street instead. I uploaded pics of my nails as well. Clean and nice place. My fiancée had her nails done here. She loved her nails. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

I could feel the staff cared about customers a lot. It was a very cold day when I visited, they warmed hot packs and put it on my lap and to other customers. They are not too talkative but the owner is nice and friendly. I will definitely go back again. read more

I had an overall pleasant experience at this nail salon. The staff was friendly and my mani/pedi came out wonderful! My technician talked me into the more expensive pedicure, saying it offered a longer massage. I was happy I went with her advice because she was wonderful at the massages for both my hands and feet. My one issue was the ambiance and environment. Aesthetically there was not much going on, which for me takes away from the relaxation experience. The pedicure chairs and furniture were old and out dated and everything just generally looked kind of cheap. read more

Do not go here. I have been going to this salon for over 10 years and the quality has simply declined tremendously. The nail polishes are not new and the ones that are, require an extra charge. They always lose the good employees and you have to keep switching technicians. I haven't been able to find a replacement salon which is why I continued to go here, but my last experience was the final straw. As I stated, the polishes do not seem to be replaced and seems like they add something to them that thins it out and drys them out to make them last longer. I went in for a Gel manicure and while doing them, one of the nails simply came off. Both the manicurist and I found this strange but thought it was just a fluke. My nails looked so good, that is until I took a shower. I kid you not, two of the nails came off COMPLETELY, from showering! I was completely devastated as I had a party to get to and did not have time to get them fixed so I go in and ask them to remove them as that's all I had time for, they did not even have to soak the nails, they popped right off. I was offered to come back in and get my nails re-done but no refund. $30 for my nails to last maybe 2-3 hours. I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again and I will advise everyone I know of what happened. You've been warned. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I have been going here for, at least, 10 years and Grace (and Helen), the co-owners, and the nail tech staff are very friendly, courteous and welcoming! In my experience most of the nail techs are good, experienced and knowledgeable and they all make a concerted effort to engage with the customers (despite a language barrier for some of them). Of course I have my favorite nail techs, but on the whole I am confident in all of them. I am a very easy going customer, but I do like quality work to be performed. Also, just a suggestion: on busy days, if you don't have an appointment, please stop giving an attitude to the employees; there are only so many techs available and if you have to wait as a walk-in it's not their fault. You should know this! Either sit and wait patiently or move on! read more

A few weeks ago I was visiting White Plains before a big work trip to London and one of my freshly manicured nails split. I popped into this nail salon and not only did they fix my nail perfectly (it held up for my two week trip) but they didn't charge me. Yesterday when I was back in White Plains, I stopped in for a mani/pedi. The ladies are lovely and the result was first rate. Very clean and reasonably priced. If i can give this place 0 stars i would horrible service. i went with my friend the lady cut me twice made me bleed. This place is actually called Pro Nail. They actually did a fantastic job! Winter was brutal on my skin and feet and came in with calluses and super dry skin. Paid for the spa reflexology pedicure. $65, but well worth every penny and my feet and skin are restored! Will come back again :-) read more

The pedicures are overpriced with no good services attached. I do not mind paying for a great pedicure and I do that all the time at my regular salon. So I figured since it was my first time in years getting a pedicure there and they used to be a nice salon I would start with the basics. First I was surprised that none of the "spa" pedicures even the most expensive included callus removal which is $10 extra on top of the spa prices. I got the "special" pedicure for $33 which was supposed to be an upgrade from the regular pedicure plus I paid $10 extra for callus but the pedicure was not "special" at all. First there was a bowl full of plain water to soak your feet. No soap powder in the water and no whirlpool. I said where is the whirlpool and they said since they have plastic lining the bowls there is no whirlpool. Which I don't understand because most salons have plastic liners now and have the whirlpool too. The lady doing my feet wearing gloves also touched the mini metal garbage can by the pedicure station throwing things in and returned to try to touch my feet after. When I mentioned it and pulled away my feet so she wouldn't touch me she changed gloves. There was no leg massage, and barely any callus removal, and feet in still plain water. Not worth the price for $43 total or the bad service which they seemed annoyed that I requested a change of gloves. I've reveived better service in the mall salons. Another woman named Grace was also doing my nails tableside while I was getting the pedicure and she kept placing the tools on the adjacent radiator and tried to use them back on my hands. I said put them on a paper towel, not the benchlike radiator with nothing underneath them. She should have known this. The radiator is not clean or sterilized. Paid a lot of money for terrible service and this is the first time in history I did not tip. I will never go back. read more

This place did some awesome Pedicure and Manicure for my girlfriend, also the workers and the atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. Their prices are affordable and their qualities are better than any other nail salons. My girlfriend was very satisfied. read more
