We are owners at this location and our intent or bucket list is to visit each and every location of the Welk Resorts. Reading alot of the comments from others, really bothered us as from the first visit, we felt like we were family and was treated that way. We had been owners at another local resort in Branson and at first was treated great and then once we signed, forget it. Our grandkids love this place and even my 11 yr old grandson stated, everyone here is so friendly and if you need help, they are there. Grandkids always asking when we are heading back. Been members for around 3 years now and have stayed at the hotel and "The Ridges". Never had an issue. We have ate at the restaurant, attended shows and the kids have enjoyed the pool and activities, as well as mini golf. We have already made reservations for Thanksgiving weekend as we know most places shut down after Labor Day, but we have our kitchen to cook and we buy groceries and drinks for late evening time and love sitting on the deck. We have stayed at the Escondido location and the folks there were just as friendly and helpful. Total turn around from our other membership. We recommend the Welk resort and it may not be for everyone, but it is for our family. read more

My wife and I have stayed in a ton of high end resorts. My most important priority is cleanliness. We didn't stay in the hotel, so I can't comment. But, I can't believe how far $250 a night got us in this resort. The suite was incredible clean and spacious. Everything seemed relatively updated, maintained, and very clean. The resort grounds were immaculate. The lodge/style resort rooms looked great. The adult-ish pool area looks much better than the online pictures. In fact, we commented that this was the one resort we've ever stayed in where the pictures didn't do the room and grounds justice. Most places filter and photoshop the crap out of their pictures. The staff and clientele were polite and friendly. The strip is nearby, if tourist traps are your thing, but the resort feels secluded. The only thing I can think to comment on is that there really isn't a view, which is no big deal. I think that's why it's priced slightly lower than the other resorts that have views. The grounds are nice enough to look at and the aforementioned aspects are more important. We'd stay here again. It was a nice surprise. read more

We stayed in the time share suites not the hotel. The property was beautiful, 1 bedroom suites were spacious and clean. Full kitchen, washer, dryer, fireplaces and huge patio. Best of all was their customer service here on the property. Chloe at the front desk went above and beyond. They were out of handicap rooms so she set us up on a second story and sent someone to our suite to help my husband unload our car since I could not. This place is not worth the money they want. The best part about it is the water slide at the pool, that was fun for the whole family. As far as the rooms, they are outdated, horribly uncomfortable beds, the shower was pitiful as far as water pressure and ease of use. The maintenance man had to come show us how to turn it on, as well as others staying in the same building. They don't do any housekeeping during your stay, but following a couple of phone calls, you can get any additional items needed. After checking in, you get a parking pass, and then comes the push for "if you go to this meeting, I'll give you $160, and don't worry it's not a time share, it's a vacation club, and they have a place for your children to go while your in the meeting" NO THANKS! This place isn't worth $150 a night. This place is maybe $89 a night. It's a 4 star price for 2 star joint. It's old, outdated and dank. The restaurant/dining hall whatever you call it smells, bad. It's somewhere between burnt toast and burning plastic. The food is ok, nothing outstanding but nothing to make you come back again, AND ITS ALL ON PAPER PLATES!!!!!! My family and I had a really nice stay at this resort. At first it seemed a bit overpriced ($500 a night) but we booked pretty close to our arrival and stayed in a villa. The villa was amazing to say the least, it was very spacious and comfortably slept a family of 5. It had a kitchen, washer and dryer, two rooms with king beds and two whole bathrooms. The rest of the resort was really nice as well. We really enjoyed the splash-a-torium and spent 1 out of our 3 day stay just enjoying the pool. Visitors be warned: The way the situation was handled with canceling our reservation is deplorable and should be considered an embarrassment to the Welk brand. As anyone knows, "ongoing maintenance" would be defined as a remodeling or major construction project. I have yet to meet a professional that is not aware of a remodeling project 12 hours prior to a guest's arrival. If you employ individuals like that, then basic customer service is the least of your problems. You had a maintenance emergency. Let's call it what it was, please. You don't cancel someone's reservation MADE A YEAR IN ADVANCE the night before, giving us 12 hours to figure out plans for three families coming from different cities on either side of the country BY PLANE. We're disgusted and appalled from Nevada AND New Jersey. (That being said, emergencies do occur. We understand and accept that. What we DO NOT accept is notifying out-of-state guests, twelve hours prior to airline takeoff, with no solution and/or compensation for the MAJOR inconvenience and emotional turmoil it caused.) Maybe where your team comes from, people board a plane for a week long vacation and find lodging when they arrive, but in the real world, many humans like having a place to check in when they arrive. Then, you couldn't have anyone return a call before we all departed from different sides of the country???? You just ignored the "urgent" follow up calls we made (probably checking the caller ID) at 9PM EST the evening before? And your comment that you have been trying to reach us? You had no difficulty getting through on Wednesday, when you wanted our group to sit through a time share presentation? You didn't try to reach anyone, as even though you do not practice honesty, the caller ID does and it did not show your urgent attempts to call. Despite the stress it caused, we were able to secure a far superior resort and accommodations at 10PM EST the night before our flights. We will also ensure that our future travel plans do not even consider your brand. You made the day prior to a long awaited vacation an absolute disgrace for all of us by not addressing the issue, offering an alternative, and putting us at ease prior to our morning flights. That is unforgivable. To all others considering this brand -- know it was the "stain on the mattress" on what was otherwise a great visit to the Branson area. Be very wary! read more

Welk Resorts - Branson - Performing Arts Near Me - Branson, Missouri

The only reason we are at Welk Resorts is because we knew someone who has a condo here and we have one in Myrtle Beach so we traded for one week. We have never been to Branson. First of all, it says if you check in with Yelp you get a free luggage tag. No one working here knew anything about that so no luggage identifier. Apparently, this is the place to look for timeshares. Tour after tour was being shown around. They are still building units here. Remember, no elevators. If you're on the third floor, you're dragging your luggage up there. Each unit has a patio or deck to sit outside. They are also a hotel. There are swimming pools here and in the winter, one of them is enclosed and heated. They have a small tube slide for the young ones. There is a restaurant that serves buffet breakfast and buffet dinner with an evening special if you want to order that. The food is actually half way decent. You can order snacks and drinks out by the pool. They have a large theater here that has the Million Dollar Quartet. Elvis, Jerry Lee, Johnny cash and Carl Perkins. We did not see this so I don't know how it is. I do know they bring in bus loads of people for the buffet and show. And (in your best Gomer Pyle voice) "Surprise, surprise" they have a gift shop. If you want to mail a card or postcard, they do not sell stamps anywhere on the premises. Now for the big question. Would I come back here? No, I would find a place closer to the big entertainment area because of the dark, windy, hilly roads. Also, Branson is just not our cup of tea. read more

2 stars because of how they handled it and happily refunded our money. We arrived late and after being meh about how the room looked, went to use the restroom before bed (it's midnight too mind you) and no toilet paper. Not on the roll, not a spare. None. Pulled back the comforter and stained sheets. I do assume they were clean because they did not appear wrinkled but there were stains, assumed to be blood stains. ew. ew. ew. But again it's midnight. Call to the front desk and ask for toilet paper and clean sheets. You would think that would gt a quick response. umm. no. noone came. We woke up and found another hotel. Went downstairs and asked for a refund on our second night. They ended up refunding the entire stay, apologetically. You get what you pay for. It was 2 nights for $150, so..... Due to Covid, you had to make a pool reservation for 2 hours. that was a huge turn off. Understandable, but we went to Chateau on the lake and had no problem SAFELY hanging by the pool all day.... read more

Not bad at all. Can be expensive, we were here on a time share tour. We got a hotel room for about $90 a night, which the cheapest I could find it on kayak was 170$. But that depends on the day I'm sure. This place seems to be geared towards kids, There is lots to do for the younger kids but not for adults and older kids. Many free activities through the day including putt putt. Splash pool is extra. The rooms are nice, rm 407 had some issues, the coffee maker didn't like to make coffee, the frig had frozen up and wasn't cooling, pipes knocked until water heated up, and I could hear people talking through the adjoining door and bathroom exhaust. The beds did get made and towels exchanged daily. Cleaning staff was great. Breakfast is a $9/person at the front desk,$10 at the restaurant. We didn't use the breakfast. The on site restaurant and bar closes at 8pm. Come on, this doesn't make since, by the time we made it back from the silver dollar city one night; their on property show, the million dollar quartet, one night; and just hanging out at the pool one night; we had to go find food somewhere else. I didn't even get to set foot in the restaurant/bar because it didn't work out. And I really could have used a drink before bed. The time share deals are neat to tour. The rooms are nice. We were told that only the owners could use them, but I looked on kayak and it seems anyone can rent them. They do make a great sales pitch. Check out their show "the Million Dollar Quartet". Great musical. Not a concert like some reviewers criticize. Buy from the concierges desk. Buy one adult and one kid under 17 is free. We bought 2 for 2 free. Nice savings. Questions are welcomed. Let me start by saying, for the price it's a good value. It's a great place if you have kids because of the Splash-atorium water park. The rooms were clean and adequate. There is nothing fancy about the place and it's pretty minimal. It's not in the busy section of Branson and a little bit of a drive to the attractions. If you have kids, highly recommend. The room have everything you need to be a home away from home(2laundry packs, dryer sheets, dishwasher tables, dish soap, coffee w/creamer, toiletries, all the plates, cups, pans, toaster, blender, mixer. The fire places in the rooms are a nice touch and make it really toasty. Shower is nice with 2 regular heads and 1 rain head. We normally go in February when most attractions are close for the season but we like it that way because its less crowded and a great deal on rooms. read more

This is an older resort with ok accommodations. The staff was fairly polite which was refreshing since the team working on our group reservations was not very responsive and performed far below expectations. Although the there was nothing noteworthy, the rooms were clean. TV was very small with a long lag between channels. Temperature was hard to regulate and there seem to be an ant infestation. If you have kids you'll probably like this place better. It's nice-enough looking, the staff are fine, but the walls are paper thin. We stayed two nights. The neighboring rooms had families with young kids bouncing and being loud in their rooms and hallways. Being able to hear them I blame on their parents; however, the whole table in my room bouncing because a tiny little elementary student is jumping around seems like flimsy construction. Being able to actually HEAR the person in the next room scratching him/herself and HEAR them plugging and unplugging things is more proof of flimsy construction. These places are obviously for cohabitation so why they don't do a better job insulating to help block out basic sounds is a mystery (I know it's because they're being cheap). I don't want to hear the dude snoring in the next room. I shouldn't have to hear him. I will compliment their bathroom design. It was laid out nicely with handy storage for your own toiletries along with a healthy supply of towels and basic needs. The water was hot and in good supply, we didn't wake up to screeching water pipes which is common at some hotels. Yes, we were there as part of their timeshare trial. No we didn't buy and the sales guy just told the person in my party attending the sales pitch to lie and say her income was lower than their ideal and they let her go in about 30 minutes. She didn't like lying but didn't want to force them to pitch her on something she didn't want anyway. We didn't use the pool, but it seemed nice enough. Their Wi-Fi connection was good but they have a lot of family-filters that prevent it from being very useful, not that I'm surfing adult content, but even trying to check Powerball numbers was blocked because it feel under the gambling category read more

The resort is run down and needs a huge overhaul. This was evident by them losing power overnight into Saturday with no generator backup, no emergency lights in hallway or room. We had to use cell phone lights to navigate totally dark hallway and carry suitcases down flights of stairs. Of course, there was no breakfast buffet because of power outage and when key card was returned, no apology for inconvenience or breakfast voucher for an alternative buffet. My entire party came home sick within a couple of days due to the use of their splash area. It should be closed to the public during this Covid mess as there was no way to socially distance in the crowded small pool area. This is a nice looking resort with very attractive units. DO NOT MISTAKE the resort for the hotel that is also on property (which is currently under major renovation). We came here to view a time share presentation and really like this property. The Welks family is the same as the legendary singer Lawrence Welk.. .who believed high quality affordable family vacations should not be just for the super rich. I've stated this in other reviews, but it's worthy of repeating. If you are a person who sees the value of couponing or saving money in any way... you should consider attending a time share meeting during your vacation. It can save you a great deal of money AND show you other resort options for your next trip. This vacation, we attended two different resort presentations (one here @ Welk Resort) and here's what we got: *4 tickets to The Price is Right Live ($35 value for adult tickets) *$50 gift certificates to the famous Lambert's Cafe restaurant (see review) and *$120 off 4 tickets to Silver Dollar City theme park. That's a savings of $240 for about 4 hours of our time. We also received pool passes for their resort pool, even though we are not guests at this resort. WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND? Companies spend billions of dollars in advertising to get you in the door. The more popular the advertising media, the more astronomical the advertising cost. Why? Because their product is likely to be seen by more viewers. Time share presentations just take that advertising money and give it to you directly because you are more likely to buy this type of product in person than through some TV ad. They know the chances of most people who will buy during a presentation are around 1 in 8, but those are better odds than other advertising would bring... and YOU get the benefits! I'm trying to open your eyes here that it's not a waste of time to attend, especially if you can say this easy word - "NO!" or "Yes" if you see the value. Not all time shares are equal, but Welk Resort is definitely one of the best values we've seen. Our time share (with a different resort) has worked very well for us and we love it! We often use RCI to take advantage of last minute getaways for as low as $199 for the week! Our vacation to Branson was an extra getaway week for $249. That's less than $36 a night for 2 bedrooms, 2 baths w/ full kitchen/dining, huge balcony and 3 tv's. So far this is great place to stay! The reason I gave it 3 stars is that at the water slide in the next to the pool, they have rules posted, stating the following: --that each person should wait for the attendant to give them the all clear before going down the slide -riders mist go down the slide on their back -to not swim where the slide exit is, that the pool at the end of the slide is for exiting the slide only My five year old son was riding the water slide, and there was no attendant at the pool whatsoever, monitoring for safety or adherence to these rules. My son was enjoying the slide, but I had to make him leave because there were large teenage boys, grown men, and younger boys who were not following the rules making a very unsafe situation for the younger kids. They were going down the slide head first, on their bellies, backwards etc. the teenage boys were throwing a football at the kids coming off the slide (not only people they knew). There were kids swimming at the slide exit, just asking to be plowed into. There was also kids cutting in line in line of smaller kids... etc My suggestion would be that if you are going to have a water slide, to staff it properly to avoid a potentially dangerous accident. Hopefully they ready this and make the appropriate changes not only for the enjoyment of the guests, but for them their selves to avoid a lawsuit. read more

A great place for a family trip to Branson. Just dr enough off the main jog (about 5 miles) to be peaceful and close enough the kids don't get antsy driving in to town. Hotel is newly renovated in June 2013 and is gorgeous. Splashatorium is great for kids of all ages and the stuff t the hotel is wonderful and friendly. Only draw back is them wanting to take you on time share tours. Just say no and they back off. WONDERFUL TRIP WITH KIDS. Mine are 7,5,2 1/2. read more

This review is for the resort lodge, not the main hotel. I'm not an "owner," but a free-rider : -) who was invited to share the other side of a lock out with a timeshare owner in our family. Log cabin styled in the three story units, the decor was classic Branson lodge (similar to the condos at Big Cedar and Thousand Hills). It was a serene, pretty setting back in the hills amongst the trees containing still just a hint of red this time of year (Veteran's Day weekend). Terrific walkout balconies with adirondack chairs. Wished we'd spent more time out there, if weren't so tired from rocking out to Daniel O'Donnell. Rooms were well-designed, central bathroom, pull out sofas, kitchenette containing all the essentials. Bathroom on the "master" side of the lockout was impressive with a fireplace overlooking a bathtub (separate monster shower with 3 sprayers include rainforest). Cannot speak to price, but we were very comfortable. Resort side is nice. read more

Review is for the hotel not the lodges. Upon checkin we found they automatically assigned us an ADA room. As we are not handicapped I'm not sure why. Walls and ceilings are thin, river-dance troop practicing all night. Shocked their Domestic HW is at 146 Deg. F. As an engineer and building inspector in several jurisdictions I brought the danger to their attention via the front desk but nothing was done. Huge liability and frankly irresponsible. Especially given the fact the room is ADA, a person that is disabled might not have the ability to react to a scalding water temp. At 150 Deg. F. you can get a 3 RD degree burn in 2 seconds. I don't think you should base this place on the timeshare trap, if you go to it, it's your own fault. We have been to many different timeshare crap so we know to say no before hand unless it's really worth it, like one time we got $500 gift cards to Bass Pro. Anyways we stayed here because it looked fun for the kids and it was! I'm glad the pool is still open even though you have to make a reservation but you get 2 hours and less people so that's a plus! Rooms are decent they have a mini fridge and coffee and that's it. I haven't been to the lodge part so we will try those out next time! read more

When only two days in Branson, a night's sleep can make or break your vacation. Beautiful facilities and amazing water slide and pool. However, if you are wanting to get a peaceful sleep, it depends upon how sensitive you are to sound. They were renovating the room above us where there was a MADDENING chirping every 40 seconds of a low battery in a smoke alarm. I called in twice to complain. They Called in "security" and "landscape" to fix it. Perhaps they would've had better results with actually calling "maintenance!" Needless to say, the chirp continued all night every 40 seconds. We got no sleep. On my third complaint, their defense was that a guy went up there briefly and said it only chirped once. (Duh!) It only chirps intermittently. After such arguments that they also knew made no sense, they finally refunded my money (thus my two-star rating instead of a one-star), but someone else has paid for our room and the credit did not benefit me at all, and our little vacation was ruined due to 1. sleep deprivation and 2. staff who cannot fix seem to simply silence a chirping smoke alarm. read more

Imagine this...you work your butt off week after week and get said butt kicked working front line in health care. By shear chance you get a couple of days in a row off from work and think, "let's plan a couple days away from the house to recoup." Only to come to the conclusion that work would have been better than your resort stay with welk....yes you read that right, I would pick working front line in health care right now in the worst of Covid-19 than come back to Welk. First of all, we only had a couple of nights here, so no I do not want to spend a portion of that listening to a sales pitch. Secondly...I understand the necessity of restrictions for COVID-19 but if you are going to tell your guests they have to reserve 2 hour time slots for the pool and that there's likely a chance you will not get reservations on the days you are staying, you may want to let them know this BEFORE they book at your resort. One of the only reasons we booked with welk was the indoor pool and when you can't reserve a pool time or when the entire pool ends up closed early.... there's not much point in staying with welk because the beds and amenities sure are not worth the pain. Also if you do not own a compact car be prepared for door dings or parking way far away from the resort. The staff, although appear friendly with smile eyes ( can't really see their mouth so maybe it's a well plastered grimace... jury is still out) and telling all sorts of tales of "I'm so sorry, we won't charge you for the splash tickets on your room rate, or you will have late check out added to your stay, or sure we will be right up to fix that" is a load of crap and in fact none will be done. And then staff will be upset at being asked for the 3rd...no wait 4th time to simply complete the task they say they are going to complete. House keeping is not allowed in your rooms during your stay, this is not really a big deal. Just an FYI because no one told us this. All and all.... pick a different resort. There's much better resorts with indoor pools at much better rates than welk. Your back, car door, and kids happiness will thank you.... I can promise you that. I am sure that The Lodges At Timber Ridge is owned by this company. I got a room for my sister, her grandson and me and my grandson. I was made aware of the cancelation date. But the day before we were to leave my sister's grandson ended up in the ER. As soon as I found out I called to cancel the room. The gal said I needed to send them proof from a Dr saying that he was really sick. I did that right away and it was signed by a Dr. I sent it by email as soon as I got the info. They had plenty time to fill the room. I sent it the next day, no answer. I sent it the day after that, no answer. My sister sent the info in and there was no answer. I did the for at least the next two weeks every day. I called and told the gal I had not heard anything. I do not have money to lose on a limited income. She said she was sorry she would call back. Never called back ! I went through my bank and filed a dispute. Not one call or email and I lost the dispute. So beaware even if you do what is asked of you, you still will not get your money back. I booked our Welks Resort stay through hotwire.com. Check-in was easy. The guy at the front desk was friendly. He gave us two wrist bands for the pool/water slide area. Since it was just my hubby and I on this trip we passed. Next time we will bring our kids and enjoy that part of the resort. It looked fun. It was quite warm for October so people were swimming outside and appeared to be enjoying the pool. The pool looked clean. The room was clean. The room had visible wear and tear on the front door, the furniture and the lamps. The lamps between the beds had outlets that didn't work so we couldn't charge our phones close to us. Thankfully the lamps on the desk had outlets that worked. The tv was small. The cable worked. The shower had low pressure. The towels were nice and thick. The floors were clean. The check out was easy. My husband dropped the keys off at the drop box and we left. Check in time was 4 pm and check out time was by 10 am. The parking was easy at 4:30 pm but at night it was packed due to a show. read more

We don't have any experience with the performances at this resort, but the hotel leaves much to be desired. The room has a wet and musty smell, like the carpet got wet and never quite dried out appropriately. It is fairly clean, but looks like it has taken a beating. The walls are paper thin and we can hear the TV next door, as well as the children (I assume) running upstairs. The pool outside our hotel is nice. The small water park they have here is also really nice. They also have a 9-hole mini golf course that looks nice. The restaurant staff was extremely nice and friendly. However the hours are odd. The restaurant and bar both close at 8, which seems way too early for my liking. My wife and I wanted some desert a drinks at 8:30 and were out of luck. read more

We came for a timeshare presentation, and although there were good things about the resort (beautiful rooms, great staff) our visit was less than awesome. We were originally booked at the resort but got moved to the Holiday Inn Express on the other side of town because the resort was booked, which wasn't a problem, but it was one of several issues that came up. We were told by email and over the phone that our tour was at 11. We confirmed that time after we received an email saying we would get a free bonus if we called to confirm. We did not get a bonus for calling -- which was fine because we don't really expect things for free, but we were told we would get something and didn't, so it was awkward. We arrived early (at about 9) and decided to walk around the resort to kill time. It was nice. We checked in to the presentation at about 10:45 and were told very rudely that we were supposed to be there at 8:30. We explained that we were told and confirmed that it was 11, and the representative told us in an irritated voice, "It's fine," as if the miscommunication was our problem or our fault. Our sales person told us about every health issue he and everyone in his family has ever had. I'm telling you, the list was expansive. I guess we seemed pretty friendly and maybe he had a lot on his mind, but I began to kick my partner under the table because it was coming up so often. It isn't that we didn't sympathize; it for real began to feel like a big sympathy ploy to get us to buy. I have never encountered anything quite like that. We are educated, well-traveled people and knew early on that timeshare was not for us. There are perks, particularly that, for people who do not travel much, timeshares allow them to comfortably experience places they would never otherwise venture to. We already go places and we do it for way cheaper. Our sales person seemed to understand this, but the closer who came to our table at the end was nothing shy of a jerk. He knew nothing about us, but was convinced that this was right for us. He was not pleasant about it, and it was not a good experience. The kicker was the cost and interest rate they offered to buyers. They showed us the sale offer sheet. It was roughly $50,000 with $5,000-ish down and a 15.15% interest rate over 10 years. For anyone who doesn't math, that's about $96,000 that you end up paying over 10 years at well over $700/month! For two weeks of vacation a year! And if you don't stay in Branson or one of the six Welk locations you pay a $189 change fee to stay in a network resort! Sure, you can deed it and all of that, but you also pay over $1,300/year in maintenance fees. How many awesome vacations could you do for that alone? As we were sitting there, two sales were made. They were sold to what looked like hard-working people who probably didn't know how many other fantastic options there are out there. If you are considering this option, great. I hope you have fun. But you should know that you can go online and rent a timeshare for much less, and you can go to any of the places offered, have a great experience, and pay far less than the years of fees and payments. read more

We have a hotel room with 2 beds & a bathroom. We got free breakfast that was really tasty. That is the good part. I feel as if everyone throws in the word "resort" in Branson. This is not a resort! No spa, massages, nail salon? Gym was closed due to COVID, but was not mentioned when we booked. You could only swim for a 2 hour period if you made a rezzie? One roll of toilet paper for a 4 night stay? I'm really disappointed. read more

Friendly staff- but many small things prevent me from giving a higher rating. No toilet paper in our room when we arrived and had to keep asking for more because they'd gonly give us one roll at a time, bathroom door didn't lock, security door that says it locks from the outside each night doesn't lock so anyone can enter the hotel from the back anytime and that area continually smelled like urine outside, hotel seemed short-staffed so the check-in line was very long, they only gave one bar of soap so we kept taking it in and out of shower to use with bathroom sink, fridge doesn't keep things cold at all and they even have a disclaimer about it on the front of it which didn't make sense to us, there was no daily service of cleaning/restocking the room, and the showers need to be de-clogged. During my first shower, the drain was backed up with standing water. Our friends stayed in the lodges and those were really nice. They called to check up on them after their first night, but not for those of who stay in the regular resort area. We also had to make reservations to swim in the pool because of Covid, which is understandable, but you have to physically show your electronic reservation to get in even though there's a paper list with your name on it that they have on a clipboard. One older lady was a stickler about not letting people in without the electronic proof and other staff were fine about using the paper list. We really had fun on our trip, but I wouldn't make a reservation again in the regular resort. I enjoyed seeing my friends' room in the lodge area though and they've been happy with their room. read more

It was all in all a great hotel! The pools were AMAZING! Hot tub definitely felt nice. I enjoyed going down there with my friends for a birthday getaway weekend. It was closed off, but still somehow close to the malls, and other places. read more

Nice, family, resort. Went for the time share presentation. End to end - 2.5 hours. The salesperson did an excellent job, and educated us about the process- was able to dispel some of our preconcieved notions. The property/rooms that we viewed were very nice. The overall price for the opportunity seemed reasonable ($20-$30k) but we decided to hold to evaluate the decision- and communicated as such. I don't know many people who make an investment of this size without some thought. That's where things got strange. Various discounts were thrown out for 30 minutes- and the manager came into the process with the hard sell. By the time we left, it was a 3 year/$99/month commitment. We absolutely hated the hard sell - conducted by the manager. When he insulted our intelligence ("waiting for the light bulbs to come on") we lost all interest in the product. We will not be back- now feel like we dodged a bullet! read more

We did and RCI exchange and were really happy with this resort. We stayed in the Timbers (Elk) and had a 1 bedroom unit. Great decor. Bed was so comfy. Fireplace in living area and bedroom. Large bath with three head shower. Wonderful large porch. We will return. read more

I visited for a single night after agreeing to a timeshare presentation. I didn't have expectations but would give this one an "ok" and not worth the timeshare commitment if you ask me. Pros: clean, friendly staff, centrally located Cons: basic amenities, pool across the street (have to be super cold in the winter), noisy guests I wouldn't visit again. Love this Welks Resort. Friendly staff. This is our second year to come to Branson and staying at Welks. Stayed in the 1 bedroom Villa in the lodges and love it. The room was clean, fully stocked, and very spacious. The electric fireplaces put off a lot of heat. My kids had fun in the splash-a-torium. Weight room is nice. read more

We had family fly and drive in from Texas and the Midwest for some quality time together. The pool is great for all ages. It is on the grounds of the time shares so it is a short walk from the hotel, but it's worth it. The time shares are nice, updated and very clean. We slept 7 in ours and it worked out wonderfully (as long as we kept up after the kids). I wasn't sure about Branson before the trip, but it's a beautiful part of the country and there are an endless amount of activities here. read more

The room was really clean. Chloey at the front desk was extremely nice and very helpful. On our second night our room had gotten stripped and beds were not made. Talked to Chloey and she got it fixed immediately for us. We will be back soon! read more

Hotel part: The lobby and everything looked really nice, but wasn't actually. The rooms were okay. Bed was super comfy. Bathroom was a mess. The shower was dripping, the bathroom was extremely low pressure. Worst of all, when my fiancé tried to take a shower, the water was tinged blue and the tub wouldn't drain. What?! 1 star Customer service: I signed up for the stay at a bridal fair, with the caveat of attending a timeshare presentation/tour for a free cruise. I scheduled our stay in February, for mid-March with no issues. The Friday before we were due to arrive, I get a call saying there's a problem with my reservation and tour date. Trying to get this fixed was a MESS, which was especially frustrating considering it was their error. After several phone calls, we got it worked out. I spoke to Lorraine in San Diego who was quite rude and kept interrupting me. She also kept insisting we should just stay another night, ignoring me when I said my schedule would not allow that. NOT happy. Even more so since they waited until the last business day before our arrival. 0 stars. Timeshare presentation: I was SO nervous going into this because I had read numerous horror stories about being kept for hours. I printed off a list of Missouri timeshare statutes (they also make for interesting reading) just in case, but ended up not needing them. Our tour was at 8:30, but we didn't start until 8:50. From the time we started the actual presentation until we left was 2 hours and 5 minutes. Yes, I timed it. The guy was very respectful and not intense. It was totally fine until the end, when his manager was rude and insulted us in an effort to get us to buy. Obviously, it failed. We politely declined, got our free cruise voucher and went on our way. Success! 3 stars. read more
