    I really loved the costumes!

We really liked the show and our waiter was great. They work really hard. I think they should have a QR code to tip them (they have one to buy booze and merch) so they get better compensated for their work. I always carry cash but many people don't. The food was pretty good, and there was plenty of it. We got the regular tickets and felt like it was a fair night for dinner and entertainment. Had we upgraded to the VIP, I think it would have not met expectations.

The food, show, and service was really great and exactly how I remembered it. Dolly makes sure that your time here is a really thoughtful, compassionate, and fun time. I had to call in to make sure I had the gluten free ticket option, and they also offer a vegetarian. There's so much food. Come hungry!

Earlier in December I went to Medieval Times in Scottsdale, Arizona and then the day after Christmas I went to Dolly Parton's Stampede. They're both dinner shows and I had to request the celiac meal for both. Prior to the show, my husband and I walked around to check out the horses and the dovecote. They have quite a lot of very beautiful animals in this show and it was nice to see them up close before showtime. After we went inside, my husband got the pre-ordered boot cup with a non-alcoholic slushie as part of the package we bought. I thought the souvenir cup looked really cheap. It's just a tiny, white, plastic boot. I would not repurchase that. The preshow was amazing with 2 brothers and a cousin? Uncle? Playing an upright bass, a banjo and a guitar. Loved it. Highlight of the day. When we found our seats, the chairs are really crammed in together and of course a couple comes in to sit next to us in our row with a huge diaper bag because they had twin babies (probably about 10 months old) that they were going to have be lap children. It was impossible for 4 people to cram in to two tiny seats. Luckily our waiter saw how cramped we all were and moved them to the next section that was empty so they could spread out. He also gave them a third meal so the kids didn't muck up their parents' plate. There needs to be a rule that there are no lap children. Everyone needs a seat. There is no way a baby carrier can even fit in. It should be 1 soul = 1 seat. It's too cramped otherwise. We would have been miserable if the row next to us hadn't been completely empty so that family could move. As someone with celiac disease, I was very disappointed with the food. Instead of the soup, the gluten-free substitution was steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots with zero seasoning. Who wants to eat this? Nobody. I would rather have nothing than have a steaming pile of unseasoned fart vegetables. I was also given a nasty, cold Udi's roll. I asked if they had a pat of butter or anything I could put on the roll or vegetables. NOPE! Not an option - only salt, pepper or bbq sauce. The chicken was meh tasting and I ended up taking it home. I also had mashed potatoes and pulled pork. Again, no toppings and finally an Udi's snickerdoodle cookie. I hated the food honestly. Can someone without celiac disease try what they serve celiacs and then decide if they'd be satisfied with that meal? The show was fine. It was Christmas themed. I didn't like that no video was allowed but photos without flash are allowed. No other dinner show that I've been to has that rule. Even though I have a new camera, low light action shots just don't turn out great compared to a video clip. I don't know why the rule can't be "video clips are allowed but please don't film the whole show or more than a minute or two at a time." Overall, I enjoyed the preshow a ton. I loved seeing the horses and birds. I liked the regular show enough, including the ice skating and camels that came out as part of the nativity play. I also loved the fire show rider act. I just didn't like the cramped seating, the food and the no video policy. With a few tweaks, it would greatly improve the experience. Visited: December 26, 2024.

Food was good. It was nothing outstanding but it wasn't bad. I wish they would start serving the meal 15 minutes before the show started so you would be part way done so you could enjoy the show. It felt a little rushed eating in the dark and trying to watch the show/participate. They served soup with no spoon. The show was very entertaining loved the buffaloes, pigs, ponies!

Staff & servers were friendly, fun & exceptional! Food was plentiful & excelllent. The show & pre-show entertainment was fantastic. The only negatives was that chairs were so close together, you bumped your neighbor constantly & there was no spoon to fully enjoy the delicious soup. Well worth the $$ & highly recommend

Tonight, the family checked out Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede. Fun time, excellent food. The North won - as it should! We don't like those Confederates! I'm not even a fan of country music - but I loved it. #DollysStampede #dollypartonimaginationlibrary #dollyparton #bransonmissouri #branson

This was a entertaining show because of the acrobatic performances and the animals, otherwise the acting was mediocre. The food was pretty good. Dessert not that great. It's was an overall great time with our teenage kids.

First time for us and we didn't know exactly what to expect but we weren't disappointed! We got hung up at Silver Dollar City waiting on a package so missed the pre-show activities. We had a moderate wait before getting seated but not at all unreasonable. Our seats were at the very end and in retrospect the best seats are likely in the middle. That said we got to see everything and the show moves fast. Dinner is served in courses as the show progresses and I found it surprisingly good. It's doubtful you'll go home hungry as they provide doggy bags for everyone. I know we used ours. The servers work hard and it is evident. Great attitudes and very friendly all around. There were lots of acts ranging from horses to aerial and everything in between. All very entertaining and fun for youngsters to oldsters! I highly recommend Dolly Parton's Stampede for everyone.

Ask the Community - Dolly Parton’s Stampede

Do you have to wear masks?

    Nope

    What was the food like?

The food was very informal but good quality. The reality is that you go for the entertainment experience, not primarily for the food. However, the food was acceptable and themed appropriately for a rodeo, cowboy, Wild West theme.

Is there seating for the pre-show? My mom is 84 and can't be on her feet that long.

Yes. Plenty of seating for the preshow.

Is it that beneficial to have preferred seating?

I don't think so. The seating process goes quickly, and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

Is there any room for nursing moms with infants or maybe a seat near or in a bathroom for this purpose?

The arena is full of seats right up to the eating tables. However, there are a few seats on the back rows with a little room and a few near the doors you enter are right next to the bathrooms. Depending on how open you are with feeding, you may even… Read more

How much is it for senior citizens? What time is the show?

They had 2 shows everyday. 2pm and 5:30. I am not quiet sure if senior gets a discount. I know they do for veterans. Either way it's inexpensive for the amount of food and the show.

A meal of baked chicken, pot roast, green beans, mashed potato with gravy, Mac n cheese, salad and roll are all enjoyed during. Menu looks like it might be updated seasonally with the spring dessert being a vanilla cake with berry sauce and cream. I added coffee and our wonderful server brought it promptly. The Rivertown Ramblers are now the headliners. Seeing them perform before at Silver Dollar city I knew they were good but they have really put together a great show for all ages. Truly appreciate the way the honor birthdays, anniversary's, and veterans. A 40 minute intermission and the invitation is given to explore the boat meet the captain and take in a truly beautiful table rock lake sunset. They told us to arrive an hour before our ticket time but we I think we would have been okay even coming 30 minutes before. It's well organized but having that extra time for our first visit was fine. After dinner and disembarking we tried the trail around the lake because we were still full. Would 100% do it again. The boat bathrooms were a little different and stopped flushing but staff were quick to respond. Overall staff were great and attentive! Nice big parking lot. My only advice is avoid the 2nd tier side seating. Go for the floor or 2nd tier facing the stage. The side seating visually cuts off half the stage.

We ended up in second row from the stage. Check-in was a breeze. You go through a metal detector and they scan your tickets either from paper or your phone. They scan the premium tickets first and then allow general admission. The Showboat is highly maintained and looks so gorgeous! Our server at dinner got our table's drink orders and explained the fixed menu. The food was plentiful and delicious. The musicians play during dinner and then there's a break between dinner and dessert to clean up. During the break, you can walk up to the decks and see the lake and landscape. It's so gorgeous but we only stayed on deck for about 15 minutes before heading in since it was just so hot outside even in the shade. Dessert was delicious and the musicians play until we get back to the landing and disembark.

We discovered The Petersens through YouTube about six months ago, and our entire family has fallen in love with their music. We also adore who they appear to be as people. In person, they were just as genuine as they appear online. We very much enjoyed meeting them and seeing them perform. Our children go around the house singing Petersens songs. Well, maybe not just the children. It was a thrill for all of us to attend their show. There were new songs and pleasant surprises, but also enough familiar tunes that we love so much. There were also plenty of laughs. My wife pointed out to me later that the show ended up being an hour and forty-five minutes long. Wow! The time flew by. The musicianship, arrangements, and harmonies stand out to me more than anything. They are so good! Please go check out their show if you can. Even if you are someone who doesn't know their music, I am confident that you would enjoy the experience.

There are shows happening all day long, from live music and bluegrass to comedy and saloon-style performances. Depending on the season, there are also special productions throughout the park. It's nice to be able to sit down, take a break, and still feel like you're part of the experience. And since the shows are included with admission, it adds a lot of value to your visit. It's also a great spot if you have younger kids. There is plenty for them to do beyond just rides, including play areas, interactive attractions, and even a train ride. It's not one of those parks where little kids are limited. They can stay busy all day. The whole park has a really cool 1880s theme and is honestly one of the most beautiful theme parks I've been to. Between the shops, craftsmen, and scenery, it feels more like an experience than just rides. That said, be ready for a lot of walking. This park is very hilly and you will feel it by the end of the day. Lines can also get long during busy times. Overall, it's a really unique place with a ton to do for all ages. Between the shows, rides, and kid-friendly activities, you can easily spend a full day here and still not see everything.

Our overall review based on being there 21 Dec, which changed the atmosphere a bit…read more Pros: - Amazing festive lights and decor. - Good food and it wasn't too pricey. There is a mobile ordering option for some places through the app that helped us a lot with the long lines. - Very friendly and helpful employees. - Easy to get to and navigate the park. - Smaller attractions like Grandpa's mansion were fun! - the APP is sooo helpful! - kiddo loved the knife shop and personal rings booth. The proprietors were so nice! - PowderKeg and TimeTraveler rides were awesome. Wish would could have done more than one! Cons: - We went during a weekend when people believed (as advertised) it was the last Rudolph train parade which made it especially chaotic. That was later changed in a way but it made this weekend before Christmas majorly bad. Kiddo was mad about the odd advertising after we heard a shop owner talking about a last minute meeting. - Better locker placement. We based this on Dollywood where there was a locker before each ride but SDC has them in certain "villages" which takes time to navigate. Bc of this we barely used the locker we bought - instead there are cubbies at each ride that work out better. - The kid rides area (Fireman's village or other) is smack in the middle of the route between spaces which made travel from ride to ride difficult. - During Xmas it is hectic, especially the weekend before. The whole operation is overwrought with people and it gets difficult to move, buy food, go on rides (we waited 2 hours for time traveler and saw on the app other rides were just as long). We also waiting 45 minutes for a funnel. - our personal note - we found a decent spot for the parade and got kicked out right before it started, by security. No signage - just you can't be in this open space (it was the mulch around the stage near the big Xmas tree) We left, parade be damned - which was when a lot of people were actually leaving. - outlaw ride was closed one of the biggest nights. - overpriced junk - my kiddo recognized a 'carved bear' from another theme park and when we looked at it close it was made in the Philippines. There are some good options for craftsman here but double check before paying for high priced inports. Key notes: - we knew we would be at the park into the night so we paid the $65 to get awesome parking up front. That turned out to be a great decision because as the masses were leaving we got out in 10 mins. I know that may seem silly but it as a priority for me and I know not everyone. For $20 you can get closer parking. They do have trolleys for free parking and they were running regularly. Make the decision that is best for you! - if they have the time traveler pass available - get it if you can. We spent so much time in line to watch the add on payers jump up and get more out of their time. At this park, there are only so many awesome rides. The limitations on the pass are far exceeded by the wasted time. This is only important if you are here for the rides and not just exploring. Notes: - the ground had paint stamps to help you navigate but they were worn out and made it hard. - there are shops to warm up in but as Colorado people who have seen a thing or two maybe warming stations with heaters or warming barrels like they do at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo would be good. Most people love a good wood fire smell. Overall - plan accordingly. We personally would not recommend the weekend before Xmas (we figured people would be traveling and that was a bad assumption). Know what your interest are - if you want to do shopping then that would be fine. If you want rides, maybe look at different dates you want to go.
