Braulio has helped me twice in ways that speak volumes about the integrity of his business…read more The first call was about low water pressure. He came out, spent a few minutes assessing, and told me straight up that low pressure is endemic to our neighborhood--no plumbing work can or should be done. Meanwhile, some of my neighbors had been sold replacement filters and various "fixes" by other plumbers for the same unfixable problem. The second time, we lost hot water. He responded to my call within minutes and asked me to text photos of the water heater. He diagnosed it via text, told me the fix, and I handled it myself. Braulio didn't make a dime on either call, but he's earned his spot as my go-to plumber. Phenomenal service.

Braulio was straightforward, fair, and clearly knew what he was doing, which made it very easy to trust him. The first time I called, I was in full panic mode! Water from my son's shower was leaking through the ceiling downstairs and I was convinced something major was wrong. He came out quickly, took the time to actually figure out what was going on, and it turned out to be a much simpler issue than I expected. Separately, when I first bought my house, I had been told there was an issue with my fireplace and got a quote from another plumbing company that was in the thousands. When Braulio looked at it, he realized it was something much simpler and far less expensive than what I'd been told and this really stuck with me. This weekend my water heater went out, and I texted Saturday night expecting I'd hear back at some point. He responded first thing Sunday morning with clear options and pricing, no pressure, and is already scheduled to come out Monday morning with everything ready to go. He's responsive, honest, and efficient, and he just makes the whole process feel a whole lot less stressful. It's rare to find someone you can really trust, and I'm very glad I did.

We are very disappointed with these guys. first visit, we called for a plumber to add an extension…read moreto the pipe for our overflow tank and tap in for the water softener. The tech insisted on changing out the over flow tank which was only a year old but didn't take the proper precautions when removing it and it exploded all over our garage. It took close to a month for the water heater pan to dry out enough to quit tripping the leak sensor. Second visit, we again called a plumber because our 1 1/2 year old water heater had stopped working (no power). The tech found that the wires had burned due to poor wiring or a power surge (Of course not their fault even though they had done the install). He claimed it had to be a power surge even though there was no evidence of a surge. He replaced the wiring but didn't have the proper tools and was using what looked like an oversized screwdriver to shove the wiring into the panel. He kept jamming it into the unit so who knows what damage he caused. He recommended we call an electrician due to the possible power surge. The next morning the electrician had to redo his wiring work due to poor connections that were falling apart as soon as he opened the panel. We reached out to radiant and no response.

Rooterman has changed over the years and, unfortunately, not in a good way. My first review of them…read morewas in 2015 so that tells you that I have been a customer for a very long time. The focus of this review is the water heater that they installed on 1/26/23. As you can see from my other reviews, the water heater that was installed before that one was in 2016. 7 years is a reasonable amount of time for a water heater to last. The problem is that the anode rod is failing in this current one. Edie came out and drained it on June 29th. We are not currently living there. In fact, the house is for sale. The problem was the hot water was turning yellow. He said to run the hot water, especially in the tub upstairs once a week, which we have been doing despite living across town now. Guess what? The hot water is yellow in tint again. Here's the rub. At the top of my receipt it says 50 gallon water heater, 6 year essential warranty. Fast forward to yesterday. Garrett comes out and notes the yellowish tint in the hot water. So, he says he can maybe replace the anode rod for about $500. He also says I can try calling AO Smith to see if they will send a new water heater and they will install it for about 2K. So, this is like going to a mechanic and a part fails and they say, why don't you call the company and see if they will send you a new part? I am pretty sure that is not a thing. By the way, he tried to get the anode rod out and it is welded solid in there. I told him we would give a credit to a potential buyer but after talking to my husband I realize that is not a good approach. It is already a brutal market to try to sell a home. So, I am faced with having to replace it although I have a document that says at the top 6 year essential warranty. That makes no sense. I will have to bid it out and Rooterman will not be on the list. They replaced the heater in 2016 and then again in 2023. I had no qualms in having them install it in 2023 because they had my complete trust. This is no longer the case. I no longer recommend Rooterman Plumbing. I gave them 2 stars because they used to do a good and honest job for me. I no longer feel that this is the case.
