After being notified by NBU that I had water running continuously for over 48 hours, I began to look around for a leak. I found one at the water meter. The water meter that NBU had just worked on. After multiple calls to NBU, I finally got a guy to come out after hours. All he did was confirm the leak and had me call it in the next morning. They sent out two guys who were nice but basically just turned off my water and said call a plumber. So I did. I called OTT. They were very good. In fact they were probably the best I've used. I spent 5 minutes on the phone and within a half hour they arrived. 15 minutes later they were done. It took much longer to get NBU back out to turn the water back on. When they did everything was perfect. An extremely fair price too. Awesome job OTT!!! Y'all are now my favorite plumbers!!! In the past, I've had nothing but good experiences with Ott plumbing, but today's interaction totally ruined my opinion of them. I went to get help with my son's scout project. I had to drive out Highway 46 and down a narrow two-lane road. It's hard to find the business because they don't display signage. Their being in a residential zoning area prevents such visual assistance. (A business isn't supposed to be there, it seems.) The only person on the premises was the receptionist. I told her what I needed and she said the boss had the information in his office. She told me she didn't have the key, then gave me the names and numbers of two other plumbing companies. I was about to enter the information into my phone when she received a call. She put her hand over the mouthpiece and said, "I have to take this call. It's a big job. You'll have to leave and do that in your car." I stood there, not believing what I was hearing. Again I was told to leave! Excuse me? What makes a plumbing call so confidential that I can't overhear it? I take offense to getting pitched out of a trades office, honorable as that profession is. Thanks for giving me the information on the other two companies. I'll use one of them next time I need a plumber. read more

I've been without hot water for almost a week because my H2O heater went out. One plumber didn't show up for an appointment and failed to let me know that he wasn't going to make it. I spoke with another plumber last Sunday who told me he'd call me on Monday. It's now Tuesday. I never heard back from him. I called Ott on Monday. The lady that answered the phone, Laurie, was extremely helpful and nice. Long story short, the next day, the Ott plumbers were in and out in 45 minutes, hot H2O heater installed. (I had already drained the old one). The came from New Braunfels to San Marcos. I'm moving to Comal County within a year. They will be my go to plumbers. Short: Highly recommend Ott plumbing. Plumbers Juan and Neddie were courteous, fair and did an excellent job despite the old plumbing (1930s house). Also great support from dispatching/admin staff. Longer version: An elderly friend of the family was having issues with her toilet. After spending a Saturday trying to fix it, I realized the leak was getting worse and had to shut the water off and looked for an emergency/24 hr plumber to come in. We got a hold of A-1 first thing Sunday morning, who said they couldn't do Sunday (despite advertising 24/7 service) but that they'd be with us first thing Monday at 0830. Monday morning 0830 comes around, no plumbers. I eventually call and the dispatcher didn't have us on schedule but said they'd be with us that morning but couldn't give a time. After calling back after a few hours, the dispatcher informs me they can't come until late afternoon. At this point we're frustrated with the lack of communication and can't risk them not coming, so we begin to call around for other plumbers. My parents were able to reach Ott, who said they could come to Seguin that afternoon. The dispatcher maintained contact and updated both my mother by cell and myself who was at the home. They provided an ETA for the plumbers, as well as called us when they were leaving NB. Juan and Neddie arrived that afternoon and were able to fix the leak despite the non-standard water supply line. House was built in the 1930s and has a non-standard shut off valve which is partially held with cement. They managed to rig up a supply line between the old shut off valve and the toilet pump and the pricing was incredibly fair for the amount of time they spent. This was greatly appreciated since having to break the concrete and replace the shut off valve and piping would have been far pricier than our friend could afford, and would have forced her to leave her home during the process. Overall, we were incredibly happy with the service and highly recommend Juan and Neddie with Ott plumbing. read more

Horrible service. Prices are too much. Worse part is they came out, did some work, did not finish the job properly, had to call back out to finish the job, and got charged AGAIN! Will not use again. Recommend that you avoid at all costs. read more

I had my first experience with Ott Plumbing today for a shower rough in valve installation. They were very professional, informative, honest, and didn't hesitate to ask questions to ensure the work was done how I wanted. They also completed a 2+ hour job in 1.5 hours, saving me some money.
