While my initial sale and delivery was great, I am wholly disappointed in service and customer relation after the delivery. 2 wks after delivery it had the check engine light flashing which can be a serious event. I took it in for diagnostics and the tech informed me it had a misfire in 2 cylinders. Per GMC this problem is known to potentially cause engine damage and catalytic converter meltdown. I was told by my dismissive and condescending service advisor there wasn't an appt and loaner available for a week. It's near impossible to actually get someone on the phone to help deal with this. Return calls are non existent. I did get the sales manager on duty yeterday on the phone but his response to me was terrible. He actually said 'I'd like to listen to you, but I'm really busy and am the only manager here and I'm in the middle of like 5 deals'. This whole experience with Weirs is sliding downhill so fast I might get whiplash. So now I'm staring down 2-3wks of my first month of ownership of a brand-new new vehicle that will be sitting in my driveway or the service center. When doing my deal, my salesperson reminded me of the fact that at the end of the day it's a $60,000 vehicle when trying to reach a payment I was comfortable with. Now it's my turn to remind Weirs, these are $60000 vehicles and having a $60000 vehicle out of service for 2-3wk during first month of ownership is absolutely asinine. It now been almost a week since I have driven my brand new truck and no end in sight as no one wants to actually facilitate in making this right. read more

Bought a new car 2017. Engine blew at 25K miles when Weirs tried to "recreate" overheating problem. Replaced under warranty. After end of warranty, all of a sudden there were many repairs that "needed" to be done. $7,000 in repairs later, I learned these were just manufacturer's recommendations, no evidence of being necessary repairs, and the service rep told me they don't even check to see if it's necessary. The last service was replacing my AC compressor. After that service, for the next 2 years until I sold the car, I had heat about 20% of the time, with the problem caused when switching from heat to AC and back. Tried to get them to fix it but they told me that unless I could PROVE the problem was caused by their service, I would have to pay for the repair. Almost $600 in "Diagnostics" later, still no idea of what the problem was. Because I couldn't prove they had caused it, it was never fixed. They told me many times during the course of ownership that they "take care" of their customers. That was not my experience and going there for service was a costly mistake. If they say you "need" a repair... ask for the proof that there actually is a problem! read more

My family and I are completely disheartened by the lack of accountability from Weirs Buick GMC in Arundel ME. What should have been a happy day turned out to be a very scary and concerning day for my two toddlers, myself and our unborn baby. The vehicle was only a few miles down the road when my rear passenger tire blew out. After a week of fighting and having to ask my Dad to help discuss the issue with multiple people at the dealership they "happily" put new tires on our car. When my husband and I looked at our car it didn't have an inspection sticker on it and when we went to sign paperwork a week later Weirs Buick GMC in Arundel ME put an inspection sticker on it. Once we get our car after they put new tires on I brought my car to get inspected in NH and it's missing a lug nut and the rear wheel bearing is shot and both items make a failed inspection. I again called to speak to management about our concerns in safetly and they have said that they will not replace the unsafe wheel bearing. Billed $1890 for service work never performed I brought my truck to Weirs because my it did not start. They told me I had water in the fuel tank and would cost $1000 to drop the tank and drain so, I told to proceed. After, they said I had a bad fuel injector and needed to be replaced at a cost of $1000 so, I said to proceed. Next they told me I had a bad cylinder and need an engine rebuild or a replacement engine. I declined, paid Weirs $1890 and had my truck towed to another mechanic. The new mechanic told me and showed me, video and photographic proof, that the tank was never dropped, the bad fuel was never drained and the fuel injector was never changed. The new mechanic drained the bad fuel and now the truck runs like a champ. I e-mailed the owner and the service manager who both refused to work with me. It's been nothing but problems with this place since I first went there and purchase my plow when they hook it up to my dump truck the wires lit on fire as I was told Buy a family member who went in there to check on the status. . Then I decide to buy a new truck there and have a liner put in the back, went to go pick it up and the Tono cover was damaged along with the liner so they redid the liner but not paying for the damaged Tono cover. They later came up with pictures saying that the Tono cover was damaged and I explain to them that it was a brand new truck and nothing was wrong with it at the time of purchase. After that unfortunately I needed brakes for my dump truck, I received a call that would be about $3000 so after going there to pick it up I driveway and one of the brake pads was put on backwards. As a business owner and my busiest time of year I had to go back and get it fixed. This dealership charges high-end prices for lousy work. I can remember multiple times making appointments and having my truck sit out there then going in and they hadn't even touched the truck for service even when they had the keys in their possession and a scheduled appointment. This last time around was quite interesting, took my plow in to get one bolt tightened supposedly that's all it needed they end up charge me $100 for five bolts that did not need replacing I gave them the authority to do a tuneup which was 169 the bill came to almost 300. On arrival to pick up my plow I see an ex employee working for them who stares me down and makes me feel uncomfortable when entering the building. They must not do background checks on their employees I got rid of him for many reasons. Weirs is good when they're selling you a product or service but after that they don't care about you it's a shame to see a small business go downhill so rapidly. From talking to everyone else around this small town we are pretty much feel the same way. read more

Yes they did offer me a vehicle that I was interested in but it was baby blue and almost had double the mileage not a good deal , and the special pricing GM came up with was less than special ,$2000 dollar rebate towards a certified or new Gm which is the same offer that stood with all of the new or certified vehicles at the time. I feel weirs would have still made a profit on whatever they were going to trade me for my truck but this is not the reason a trade didn't happen. Absolutely the worst experience in my life. Bought a used vehicle that they agreed to do repairs on!! They just sprayed over the rust( didn't even scale it off first!) Bought a new plow, Hose blew from being routed incorrectly during set up. 2- 3 week wait because ( they had other customers,really brand new plow off the lot and that is not priority especially when it going to snow the next week.?? Dropped it off for repair , the technician removed it from my truck and it all was well. Went to pick it up and jack was busted and bent?? They said I did that .. Their tech took it off!!! It was fine. Followed by then someone must have tried to steal it.. These guys are full of excuses and never return phone calls to make things right . Over a year now still trying to get this taking care of and not even a return call without it taking months of bugging them to get one. Once you buy plan on going somewhere else for service , and do not trust any agreements. They do however give you a vehicle to use while yours is in their shop, ( because it takes two months to get fixed!) Buyer beware ! I bought a pre-owned 2018 Yukon XL in June 2019 with a "clean" Carfax. My wife found a bill for $5000+ repair bill in the glove compartment when we got home. The buyers guide in the window which is a legal document also didn't mention the repair. When contacted on more than one occasion, Weirs management kept throwing the clean Carfax report at me! They were unwilling to renegotiate the price and kept blaming GMC corporate. I was also told that a $5000 repair is no big deal but I bet it would be if I was trading it in! They did take the vehicle back but totally unbelievable. I would give negative stars if I could. Terrible experience for my family! P.S. Over the past few years I've purchased 4 trucks from Dan at Weirs, as well as had experience with every other department there. It's a great place to shop, have maintenance or repairs done, and order parts or accessories. I've purchased brand new Fisher plows as well as had them swapped from one truck to the next with no issues. I've had problems with one of the trucks that were taken care of as quickly as possible. Everything breaks, right? At the very least I can break it, I use my trucks hard! Do not buy from Wiers!! I purchased a 2015 GMC 3500 from Weirs in the beginning of December of 2017. It's been a month and a half of owning it and it's been back to their dealership 3 going on 4 Times. They had the truck on their lot for four months before I purchased it. The first time I test drove it I noticed a few issue that I feel should have been caught before it ever hit the lot, but they weren't. I returned the following week after purchasing the truck to have these items repaired and a new plow installed. Long story short, I received the truck back with more issues than I dropped it off with. Never return phone calls and the owner Ken is no help(didn't even tell me he was the owner or offer to resolve the issues I have been having with poor customer service). The service managers favorite response to my issues is "Yeah" or "okay" with no solution to my problems. They love excuses of why they can't find problems. Lots of other issues that I don't feel like explaining. But take my advice, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! read more

Weirs Buick GMC parts center doesn't make the customers experience priority. I have had some work done at their dealership and they have done a fine job but when they made a mistake and told me it was going to cost me. Well that is a problem. To ensure the customer is happy most businesses will meet half way or come up with a solution not costing the customer. Not them. I called to speak to a manager and they ensured me they would call me back personally. Instead someone else called me back to then yell at me over the phone telling me that they aren't going to pay for their mistake. I get it everyone makes mistakes but that is a costly mistake that I'm not willing to pay for. I'm not dealing with a business that treats their customers like dirt. read more

Purchased a new 2015 Sierra double cab about a year ago. The purchasing of the truck went excellent. Sales department was great to work with, friendly, accommodating, and no pressure. I give the sales department 5 stars, however the service department is TERRIBLE! Having warranty work done since I bought the truck has been a complete nightmare. Service never returns calls(no sense in leaving a message), very poor workmanship, people behind service desk are not always very friendly to deal with, always seem to be in a rush and never completely do what is supposed to be done. I was hoping to be a life long customer at Weirs, but the poor service and lack of respect I have received from the service department, that is not going to be the case. I was recommending Weirs to friends and family, but that has come to an end. Buyer beware: If you purchase a vehicle from Weirs and expect the service department to take care of you like the sales department, FOR GET IT! The second I walked into wiers I was lied to at the start. This place is filled with snakes in the grass I looked into a truck threw them for over 20,000$ and brought up some things that I noticed needed replacing and was told by the sales man Pete that "it is a used truck let's keep that in mind", what a joke.when looking at the vehice I was told by another salesman that he had sold the truck brand new to the people that had just traded it in. Come to find out once I got the car fax report that it was originally bought in Georgia crashed there with airbag deployment then sent to 3 different auctions and 3 different owners and once I brought it up to the gentleman that had told me that he had personally sold the truck brand new from wiers he looked at me and said "I sell a lot of vehicles here I must of been mistaken". After fighting with them for weeks about the issues wrong with the truck they told me that they could not fix the issues with the truck that I requested giving that they were Maine state inspection related made me strongly think about whats really going down in that place just slapping stickers on trucks and cars with major defects. Had my wife get ahold of the manager there threw email after a week of not hearing anything from her my wife called the dealership and was responded by the women manger "Linda" "is this your email you sent me" in a completely rude manor and showed no remorse or help towards the situation after all we did still want the truck after all the crap they put us threw, buying it out of emotion I guess. I could go on forever about how they treated me and my family at this dealership most I can say is travel a little further to saco or the Portland area for a gm truck or suv because between the sales man and the managers there they are very unprofessional at what they do point blank period, I will never return to that dump and I will make sure to let everyone know that asked about them how they treated me from the second I Arrived at that so called "dealership" read more
