They sold a car that was recalled for catching on fire and this was never disclosed and the box asking IF it was recalled, yes or no, they selected NOTHING, even though an option for, "don't know", isn't an option. Ignorance is never an excuse for putting some ones life in danger. NEVER use their services, even if it is to put windshield wiper fluid in your car, as you will regret it!!

I can't recommend them enough. I dropped my car off on my 9 o'clock break and picked it up at noon the day after I pulled in for an estimate. Now keep in mind that won't always be possible but I feel very confident in saying that they will get you in and out with quality work, as soon as possible. If you live in Southern Maine or if you are here on vacation and find yourself in need of repairs I would tell you to go see them and at least get a price. When I pulled in to get an estimate I expected to make an appointment and come back so they could put it on the lift. But nope, guy got down on the ground gave me two options for repairs and straight up told me that I could get away with the cheaper option but that sooner or later.. Like I said I usually do my own work so I already knew the sooner or later part and went with the full repair. Great, something so could go to Napa & buy. I went in because I was told It's hybrid battery -- NOT!!!. And despite being told via txt they could take care of app login problems, at service, they tell me they can't. A real waste of my time. I feel like this place has a bunch of liars.

Brought car to Moodys in early April after I was in a car accident. An appraiser came out, sent…read morequote to insurance company, all was agreed upon. An amendment was needed, done fine, and car was returned to me apprx 2 months later. The car was not completely fixed however. I called Moodys and spoke with "Moodys Employee 1" who said it was probably just rust from sitting for so long. Drive it for a bit, jam on the brakes to clear the rust. After a bit, no success. I call them back, brought it in and ME1 test drove it, recognized the brakes were not correct. Said he would order parts, call me when they were in, and finalize the repairs. I emailed my insurance company to keep them aware. My rep had been in contact with Moodys all along and had already paid out the claim. Another amendment would be needed. This was July 23. I kept calling Moodys every couple weeks to check on "parts". Eventually in September, now passed on to Moodys Employee 2 who said they're too busy, but would take the car in, flatbed it to dealership to fix because they were so behind on jobs. I did this and received rental car on Sept 29. ME2 called same day, left a message saying car was fixed, still at dealership and he would call back when it arrived. My car has an app that has current gps location. I did not hear from ME2 again. My app showed car was still at dealership. Despite this, and giving it some time (considering it has now been 6 months since my car first went in. I thought they were really understaffed and really behind) called to inquire as to when I could get my car. Was informed ME2 was no longer employed there. Passed back to ME1. ME1 said all is complete and they'd been calling me to come get it. I never received a voicemail after ME2 said he would call again. I go in next day to return rental (Kia) and pick up my car (Volvo). Everything was fine when I did this. Nobody mentioned that I would be charged for the rental car or any portion of it. A week later, I receive a call from Enterprise Rental Car. Moodys refusing to pay the bill now. I call my insurance company for advice. The insurance company said that not only did Moodys not contact them, nor did they submit another amendment, but they are not allowed to subcontract out repair work. Especially when my car was still under warranty. The insurance company did not sign off on the brakes. A lot went wrong and concerned the insurance folks. My insurance company is doing an investigation as is my credit card company for the rental car charge. Moodys refusing to accept responsibility for all of the rental car days and never told me I would be charged for it or any part of it. I have also been advised to report them to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

These guys saved my vacation--my truck's shifter cable broke on my last day in Old Orchard Beach on Saturday morning. That morning the local chevy dealership said they could not look at it on Saturday, but will look at the truck first thing Monday morning. I had the truck towed to the local Chevy dealership to them on Saturday. Early Monday morning I spoke with the service personnel at Chevy and they promised to look at the truck that day, by 2:30 they told me they couldn't get to the truck until the next. I called Lou's shop explaining to them the situation I was in, I had the truck towed from the Chevy dealership and over to Lou's. The truck got to Lou's after 4 o'clock and they had it fixed by 5 that day, getting me back on the road with professional, fast service that actually cared about helping me out of a bind and didn't even charge me for the repair. Knowing the economical hole I was in staying in a vacation town beyond my planned stay. These guys are an angel on your shoulder. read more

I am a new customer at Lou's Service Center. I cannot say enough great things about this business. In the past two months I have brought both of my cars in for service. The first car I received an astronomical quote for work on my car that was not even necessary from another service center. Lou's accurately diagnosed the problem and gave me a fair and honest price to fix it. The 2nd car I brought in for service was also fixed promptly and honestly. I rarely take the time to go online to give reviews but I felt I needed to give credit to this business and recommend it to others looking for a repair center that operates with full honesty and integrity. My son was experiencing car issues on his drive up to Old Orchard Beach from CT. We called around and another shop recommended Lou's Service Center. Jonathan was the first person who answered the phone and helped our son immediately, even though it was late in the afternoon and they were close to closing. He walked us through the issue and it was diagnosed and fixed the next day. We can't say enough how nice and accommodating he was to our situation. He was thorough and explained the problem. I was renting a place in Camp Ellis in January when the flood of the century hit. The high tide, and resulting flood, was not kind to my car. Thankfully it was driveable and on my way back to Boston I decided to stop and do some food shopping in Saco. Upon leaving the store I found out that the sliding side door would not close! I called Lou's and they assured me I could bring the car in. He looked at it promptly and was able to get it to close so I could drive safely back to Boston. Can't say enough about the AMAZING service and experience I had here. They took me for an estimate and quoted me a fair and reasonable price. As a woman I always worry I'll be taken advantage of when doing car repairs but this was not the case at Lou's. They will now be my go to mechanics. Was on a mini-vacay and our car broke down Wednesday night. I called Lou's in the morning to see if they would take a look. Cindy answered and Adam said bring it in! I brought it, they tested it, told me it was safe to drive home then have our mechanic look at it! Super nice people, didn't charge me a thing (but I did leave some $$ for coffee later!) and did some extra looking into the problem to make sure it wasn't something else. While traveling through the area, my check engine light came on so I was looking for a garage to check the coeds when I called Lou's. Jonathan was super helpful and told me he would read the codes but not sure if they had time that day to do any work that had to be done. When I got there, he quickly helped me read the codes and told me what he found. He was able to advise me and was kind enough to do it without any charge. When I picked up my car (the same day) they gave me a total that was $100 UNDER the quote because it didn't take them as long as they anticipated. Things that stood out-their team is direct and goes above and beyond for you! They told me everything that I needed to know about my car troubles (ultimately a new battery) and things that I should look into (due for oil change and state inspection). They did all of this work for a reasonable price and I know I'll be coming back here in the future (hopefully with a scheduled appointment and not a breakdown).
