NEVER EVER use this auto service, unless you want to take your life in your hands. They have no class, no manners and no moral backbone. They had my car for 6 weeks and never looked at it. When they said it was not fixable, so they offered to sell another. They sold a car that was recalled for catching on fire and this was never disclosed and the box asking IF it was recalled, yes or no, they selected NOTHING, even though an option for, "don't know", isn't an option. Ignorance is never an excuse for putting some ones life in danger. NEVER use their services, even if it is to put windshield wiper fluid in your car, as you will regret it!! read more

Stay away. Just stay away. Made the mistake of going here instead of my regular place. Ended in him escalating a question into a hostile situation and demanding I go inside where he's the only other person when there was no reason to go inside. He was trying to create one where none existed. Fellow women will understand. Not to mention I'm being told something's broken that was just fixed. I cant speak to every employee, but this guy was behaving in a manner that was threatening and intentionally creating a situation that didn't need to be. read more

I had a great experience with Bob's Auto Service, even before my car drove into the lot. Louise is very pleasant, responsive, and helpful. It's nice when a shop has a dedicated secretary - makes the process a lot smoother. I only had a few small things that needed to be done, but they were done expeditiously on the same day I had called (when they already had a full schedule for the day). Serviceman Mike is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Will gladly take my car back here if I need to. Their prices are fair and labor rate is $78/hour. read more

I broke down on the street right next to their garage; once I got my car in their parking lot and explained my situation, I was told that they would look at my car as soon as possible. I would give zero if I could. Agree with previous review. Rude, deceitful, and ignorant. I just spent 2 hrs and less than $1 of parts to fix what they "couldn't" after over a month and 4 trips back! Awful, Awful, AWFUL! Car is never ready when Louise says it will be (days late, not a couple of minutes or hours). Charged my wife hundreds of dollars once to fix a squeaky belt that wasn't the cause of the problem (I was deployed overseas. Thanks, Bob!) Bob's Auto of Saco: Overcharge, under-deliver, and Late. There is no excuse for rude reception, especially since if you go to Bobs your guaranteed to spend a couple hundred dollars. Never this service! One star is still to much for them . I was in need for car inspection sticker. They found nothing wrong with car.So with sad tone in voice they said car is OK can't found nothing wrong. I said I know. But probably owner or boss got idea. He block end of exhaust pipe when engine idle and with happy voice said:" you need muffler !" I ask how much it will cost.He estimate $250. I said no ! (I've got away from there and checked price for muffler in store and seems like this. Price from NAPA store x 2 + $80 work = $ 250. I check myself my muffler. Got to another station for car sticker.And pointed to muffler too. They check car, even muffler and said OK, here is your car with sticker. read more

I have been dealing with Bob and Louise for about 2 years with three cars. I switched because the former garage who worked so hard to build my trust, changed ownership and personnel and lost my trust. I could not be happier with Bob's service, expertise, and flexibility. They have done oil changes to AC service, to suspension service, to "it makes this funny sound. can you find the problem?" service. Bob or his mechanics have taken the time to show me the work they will do, and the suggestions they have. I know just enough about my cars to understand what they are telling me and have developed trust in their diagnosis and honesty. Nobody is perfect in determining the problem a complex car may have, but I feel that Bob's will do their best for me each time I bring one of my cars in. read more
