Took my vehicle there after another shop indicated they find the source of the leak, much less fix-it. Troegner's fixed the problem for the amount estimated and it was available same day. While it was there, I mentioned a transient problem and before I picked up the vehicle from the original need, he'd already addressed that problem. I live in South Portland but if I have an involved repair issue in the future, I will take it to Joe Troegner's in Biddeford -- amazing expertise, service and value. read more

Had brake work done and was completely satisfied. Friendly staff. Will look forward to using them in the future.

I have been taking my cars to Joe for close to ten years., I was refered to him by two different friends and I am very grateful for their referral. Lori at the desk always greets you with a friendly smile. The work on the car is always thorough. The prices are fair and transparent. Should you wait while they work on your car you will be confortable in a very pleasant room with the coolest aquarium in Maine!! read more

I've been doing business with Joe and his sons, off and on when I'm in the area, for 40 over years in two locations. I have had members of my family do business with them as well. In that time we have always received top grade work at fair prices and any problem was taken care of immediately. The work is dealership, quality or better for way less money. Some of the most honest mechanics I have ever dealt with. One of the last of the old school, family, businesses around. read more

I brought my first car here (Not sure how many years ago) But needless to say, I will never bring my vehicles anywhere else. Everyone is so nice, the mechanics truly know what they are doing and the prices are very fair! Also, Laurie is also absolutely lovely read more

This is a multigenerational family run car repair shop. They are who I send everyone to if they need help and an honest opinion. They stand behind their work and it is done right. Their prices are fair and they won't gouge you. Joey was a volunteer firefighter for years, so safety is first. They are very busy because locals trust them. read more

We have been going to Joe since the early 2000s. Joe is 1 of the honest auto repair shops that can be trusted! Unfortunately It is very hard to find an honest person in these businesses. Joe doesn't b.s. & gets it done. We will continue going to Troegners! Laurie has been with Troegners for a long time & she is awesome! I entrust my VW will be repaired & I won't be told my VW needs anything it does not! I love cars. Joe makes sure my car runs great & is serviced as needed. This is 1 place you can trust with your car! Thanks, Joe. read more

We have been going to Troegners for 15+ years and have always felt Joe and his team are honest and do a great job.

Honest, fast and fair! Great team, tons of knowledge and good diagnoses of issues With all car types.

Another EXCELLENT experience. This probably is the best auto repair shop on the planet!

I'm not a regular customer but last night, at closing, I pulled in to Troegner's after a dead battery jumpstart by AAA. Though it was not their fault as soon as I left the parking lot my power steering started to fail and a clunk started at the back of my car. I drove about a mile and managed to pull in to Troegner's. Closing time or not they immediately started to diagnose and resolve the issue and finally determined I needed a new battery. They did not hesitate in staying late to address my issue and charged me only for the battery, no labor. If that's how they do business you won't go wrong if you have them work on your vehicle. I'm about 20 miles away and am seriously considering having them be my go to service center. read more

Troegner's has done our fleet for over 20 years. They have gone far and beyond the expectations of any service center I have dealt with in the 40 years I have been in business. They are reasonably priced and the quality has been exceptional! The staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

I recently relocated to Biddeford "from away" and had little hope of finding anyone as reliable, honest, and professional as my longtime mechanic in Texas. Troegners has exceeded all my expectations and alleviated all my fears. They now service all my vehicles, everything from brakes to oil changes to tires and everything in between read more

Yes, I'm now a rabid fan. I've been back a few times with both cars and I've found honest work, reasonable prices, and consistency. My car is sort of a weird car for them to work on, but they always come through. read more

Joe Troegner's Auto Service - Auto Repair Near Me - Biddeford, Maine

I first started bringing my cars here 25 years ago when Joe Sr. was running the show and Joe Jr. was just a young pup. Always had great service here and never felt like I was being ripped off. High quality repairs, done right the first time and priced at a fair rate. Then I moved north and spent years trying to find a shop that wouldn't lie to me and wouldn't charge me a fortune. Found a shop that was OK for a while but then they got greedy. Found another shop that was pretty good but they got so busy they wouldn't even return my calls. Well I think I will start going to Troegner's again because they are worth the drive. When you find a good shop, stick with them because they are rare. read more

Highly recommend Joe Troegner's. We were vacationing in Maine, and my A/C compressor ceased. We did not know any shops up there, but based on the positive reviews on Yelp, decided to go to Joe Troegner's. We had to have the vehicle towed in, but they took us without an appointment, and had us back on the road quickly and at an extremely reasonable cost. Bonus: The office Manager Laura, is awesome. Very helpful and pleasant. read more

Most honest, best quality service, reasonably-priced auto repair shop I've ever patronized in my 68 years.

Best place around. I checked quotes for engine replacement from Kittery to Portland. Troegner's had the best price, told me of X amount of things they found that may cause problems in the future, and found a used engine without 48457238943 miles on it. If you live in the surrounding area and are going elsewhere, you're paying more money for inferior work. Simple as that. read more

I've been bringing my vehicles here since 2010, and I have never been disappointed in anyway. I have never had any problems with anything they've ever fixed. They have never given me an estimate that wasn't accurate. They have never gone and fixed anything without my approval and understanding. They are by far the most honorable vehicle mechanics I have ever seen. They customer service is above and beyond (always). I would recommend this mechanic to literally anyone who lives within 100 miles, they are worth the trip. I could go on and on about how positive my experiences have been. I will be a customer for life. read more

Have counted on Troegners for 18? years. They always do the work right. Since I travel, a few times they've had to fix the "good enough" repairs done out of state. To me it's either right or wrong. Good enough is not good enough. read more

Wow! These guys are the best! They just saved our family vacation! We were supposed to head out on Sunday, but the car developed a fuel leak. Had the car towed to Troegner's and called them first thing Monday morning. They were completely booked, but John and Lori (Joe's on a well-deserved vacation) pulled some strings and found time to diagnose the relatively simple problem and fixed it before noon. We're on the road this afternoon thanks to this honorable, "get the job done", SERVICE shop. They've always been reliable and fair, but they've gone WAY ABOVE this time! Highly Recommended! read more

My wife and I will always go to Joe ! He loves what he does , runs his shop with passion and integrity. We always feel deeply cared for - we have gotten everything done from brakes to oil changes. We recommend Joe to everyone. Work is done in a timely manner, professional and thorough. Thanks Joe and staff for keeping out vehicles safe read more

Before I started bringing my vehicles to Troegner's Auto Service I tried many other auto repair shops. Joe Troegner's is by far the best! I believe their work is top notch, but their prices are comparatively low. Troegner is very honest, and he truly cares about his customers. If they say you need something done, then you really do. The business has so many loyal customers that they are very busy; so if it's not an emergency you may have to schedule out a bit. Pretty close to Perfect! read more

Should we ever need to relocate out of state, one of the biggest things I'd miss is Joe Troegner's. He's the mechanic I trust, and I've been going there regularly since 2009 for oil changes, major repairs and everything in between. I commute a lot, 100 miles a day, 1000 miles a week. He's never let me down once, after dozens of visits and yearly inspections. I've been burned by bad mechs before, and was relieved to finally find Joe. He's found us good deals on parts, tires, and even secured a dependable used car for my wife. Not that it's all about prices; it's about commitment to service. He'll shoot straight with me when something costs more, or whether a replacement is necessary or not worth it. Thanks Joe! As long as we're in the Biddeford area, we'll be regulars. read more

I've been taking my vehicles here for years. I travel a lot. They make sure my vehicle is safe and ready to go. I've also bought a used vehicle from them. It was a good deal and runs great. I have older vehicles, 2004 Ford F150 and a Chevy tracker 2002 that I bought from them. read more

Professional, knowledgeable, honest, fast, efficient, organized AND reasonably priced! Who could ask for more?

Seriously, the best little family of mechanics ever! When I moved out of state for a year, I had a really hard time finding (and trusting) another mechanic like I trust Joe. He has always been very upfront and honest about any repairs that need or don't need to be done. Laurie, at the front desk, is always there to greet you with a smile...and a lollipop! read more

They are the most honest, down to earth, hard working professional mechanics in the greater Portland Area! If you are a local or just traveling through, I give them my highest of recommendations!!! Whether it be a scheduled thing requiring an appointment (sometimes you will have to wait up to 1 week if it is a non-urgent matter,.. but well worth the wait) or if your car simply stops working in a more urgent situation, they are my go-to mechanics. I tried unsuccessfully to fix my car on one occasion and then dragged the poor thing to them to get properly fixed; With utmost professionalism and kindness, they recommended that I return the new part that didn't work out, back to AutoZone to save some $. They are hard working folks and they look out for your best interest. For quick non-urgent things requiring an appointment, if they say it will be 30 min, they are usually right on the mark, saving valuable time. Laurie the office manager is the sweetest and always has treats for guests in the waiting room (for both two and four legged guests). If you ever find yourself in a bind with your dog, they are also incredibly dog friendly! read more

What a great place!! While driving up on the Maine Turnpike from Massachusetts, my car suddenly starting making a loud, scary noise. I thought the muffler was dragging but after pulling off the road, it was clear that wasn't the case. I got off the highway and drove SLOWLY on route 1. I happened upon Troegner's. The guys were WONDERFUL!! They drove the car then put it up on the lift. The problem was a plastic bag that had wrapped itself around some pipes causing them to reverberate and make the noise. They took off the bag and I was on my way. THe whole experience took about 10 minutes. They wouldn't take any money. These guys were really great. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! It is my "GO-TO" garage now! My check engine light came on, so I searched on YELP for a local mechanic with good reviews. That's how I found Joe Troegner's Auto Service! Everyone on YELP talked about what a gem this garage was, and how honest Joe was. I am now one of those people telling everyone - BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! As a young woman who stereo-typically knows NOTHING about cars, it is definitely intimidating taking your car to a garage to be fixed. I always worry about being taken advantage of money wise (ripped off), or getting the run around. But I had nothing to worry about at all! From the first phone call to the last visit in the office, Lori, the receptionist, was the nicest person ever! She knows everyone by name and is always so cheerful in all of her interactions with everyone. Thank you for helping to make this a positive experience for me Lori! Then there's Joe Troegner. He is very kind, honest, and up front with you about your car. He bent over backwards to get this problem taken care of for me and I truly appreciate it!!! He took the time to physically bring me into the shop and show me what was wrong with my car, and talked to me about how it was being taken care of. In my experience of getting my car fixed, no one has ever done that. It made me feel 100% confident I'd made the right choice coming here because I knew for a fact I wasn't getting the run around or getting ripped off. THANK YOU THANK YOU very much for the positive experience! I am telling everyone :) read more

I have been going to joe's sense 1983 and been there ever sense ,they are honest local and a nice bunch of people.
