I had the truck for 2 weeks if I'm lucky and it's already back at the dealership. they wanted me to drive it to them I said no bc it could cause more problems to the truck. so that was not fun to fight with them to come get it. then I went to the jack to get a rental car and that turned in to a battle with the manage. i just wanted them to make it right and not have to fight with anyone. I brought my 2021 Silverado high country in for a routine serve at 27k miles. It ran great before this dealership worked on it. I was told it needed a transmission software update and was also sold a fuel injection cleaning. When I picked my truck up I noticed immediately it ran very rough. I immediately brought back and left it with them. Was then told it was my tires out of balance and I needed to pay $89.00 for a balance I agreed. Once again I picked up my truck. It still runs rough. I brought it back again. Was told no error codes , it's fine. It's not fine, it runs terrible. I'm not sure why they did to my truck but they are incapable of correcting the issue caused by their repair work. I am bringing my truck to another dealership to try to correct this Issue. Total waste of my time and money and now my truck runs really rough. I will never do business with this dealership again. Not recommended. read more

We helped our daughter buy a new Trailblazer from Jack in January of 2024. 2 weeks ago an error code came up so my daughter scheduled an appt to have it seen. They checked the error code and told her they would not have time to fix it that day but never even lifted the hood! This morning she drove another 45 minutes one way with her friend and dropped off the car. The service person remarked to someone else that the car is still under warranty and it gave them the impression that he was not happy bc they would not make any money. Her friend specifically asked if she would be charged for diagnostics and was told "No. The car is under warranty." A few hours later she called me very upset. The service person told her that the dipstick was not pushed all the way in and that oil had sprayed all over the engine, that it was low on oil, needed an oil change (even though it was changed 2 weeks earlier) and needed to be degreased at a cost of $465 not covered by the warranty. I looked on the internet and found usually if the dipstick is not pushed in all the way it is not a problem and will not "spew" oil unless there is a problem with the pistons. I advised her to go back to the dealership and talk to the service department bc she was not told the truth. When she got back to the dealership and she told them what we found suddenly the story changed. The service manager then admitted that the person who had called her "wasn't mechanically inclined" (So why are they working in a service department calling customers about what is wrong with their vehicle??) and that indeed oil had not spewed all over the motor but that when the oil was changed a small amount was spilled. She did NOT need an oil change or to have her engine degreased. He pushed in the dipstick, cleared the error code and charged her $160 for the diagnostics despite being told she would not, Then he told her it has a defective radiator hose and is leaking coolant so she will have to bring it back AGAIN. Maybe if someone bothered to lift the hood the first visit it could have been fixed today. This is a pretty poor way to treat your customers especially since we bought the extra warranties for the car on which they make a lot of money. (also found out the extended warranty does NOT cover a lot of things so save yourself the money and don't buy one). When someone "misleads" ie doesn't tell the truth in front of a customer and her friend I would consider that to be inexcusable and do my best to correct it but apparently that is not their philosophy! I reached out to see if they would refund her money before I posted a review on the internet. Despite the fact that she and her friend were given incorrect information about the charge for the diagnostics Mike Gibble the owner refused to do anything about it. Then left a VM me that his mom said if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. Well Mike my Dad told me when someone tells you something (like that you won't be charged for diagnostics) they should honor it or their word means nothing. You asked what the purpose of my review. It is not to put you out of business that is up to you but that may be what happens if you continue to treat people poorly. Also glad that you know members of the board at Maine Med and if you meant that to intimidate me the joke is on u bc I am now retired. So buyer beware, mine is not the only bad review!! They do NOT care about their customer if they did they would not have charged her when they told her they would not. We are planning on buying a new Blazer this spring but it won't be from Jack!!! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Bought a Silverado from this dealer when they were still Ira Jack and wasn't totally satisfied then, but still bought the truck non the less. After they changed ownership, the shitty service still didn't change. I had some issues with my 2018 Silverado including a couple sounds coming from the exhaust area and also transmission concerns. I first brought the truck down when they were still ira to check in about both issues, I took a test drive with some bub asswipe who told me I was hearing things and that the truck was supposed to make those sounds. He told me "I've got a way bigger truck (chevy 3500 ) than this and it makes a ton more clunking and weird sounds while driving, you'll get used to it". Granted, this isn't my first truck or first time driving a truck so the guy is just full of shit and insulting me. Drop him off and just get pushed away, only to head up to quirk chevy in Portland and have them address my exhaust valve being faulty, replacing it right away under warranty no questions asked. Fast forward 6 months or so and I'm still having issues with the transmission shifting issues. I bring it back to ira Jack and notice they changed ownership to just Jack.. to hold them accountable for the truck being broken. Just like before they tell me I'm hearing noises that arnt there, and that the truck drives just fine. They even kept my truck an extra day to "see if they can identify the issue" They say "oh yeah are you sure the noise isn't just the pallet you have in the bed of the truck? Every time we stop and go it thrashes around and makes noise". Ha!! Morons. After getting in a verbal dispute for wasting my fucking time, I leave telling them they are junk , providing the worst service and reliability of any dealer I've ever dealt with. Once again I bring my truck up to quirk chevy in Portland where they immediately addressed transmission issues and replaced my tranny under warranty. Moral of this story is that these clowns would rather waste your time and not own up to something, than help you out and keep you coming back. You'd think they want to help out a customer and make a good name for themselves. Fucking joke. Don't buy anything from these fuckers and for sure stay away from their service department. I got my car in June of 2022 and it had recalls for the heated seats and parking assist chips. I have requested these recall parts be ordered on 2 occasions and I was told when I bought the car that they would let me know when the parts are in. They continue to send me emails and mail stating I can make an appointment for these recalls yet it doesn't seem like it will happen any time soon at this rate. They took me in quickly, found the minor problem and had me going again shortly. While there I watched while a service person worked out a payment plan with an old couple who had a more serious problem and they also got them a loaner at no charge. I'm so confused by this place... it's like they don't want to sell cars. I made a full Kelly Blue Book value offer on a car that they've had for sale for over 1200 days and Mark Galos declined (didn't even bother to counter offer). Based on how far above the market they priced the car I was interested in I'd strongly suggest that you pay VERY close attention to their asking prices / sales prices before you sign anything. What kind of dealership prices their cars so high above market that they can't sell them??? Weird. (Post Review Update: Marcus was nice enough to reach out to me to talk about my concerns in the review. He told me that they used NADA Guides to price the car I was interested in buying (I wondered to myself if they use NADA Guides for trade in values as well.) I just double checked and their asking price is even $10,000+ above that. I checked a few other cars they have and noticed that their prices are above NADA Guides retail value on those too. Clearly if a car has been on the market for over 1,200 days the price is WAY too high. I have 2 other nearly identical (or better equipped) cars lined up to purchase at $20,000ish less than their asking price, so I know the Kelly Blue Book / Edmunds pricing I'm using is much closer to the actual market when compared to this dealership's pricing structure.) read more

This is the third time I've tried to establish business at Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac. The first time was within the last 6-9 months when I was in a market to either buy or lease a new car. I discovered that their advertised "special leases" had a lot of strings attached and were, in my opinion, designed to get customers onto their lot with little intention of honoring those leases at the advertised rates. I did go back a few months ago when I made a decision to buy used instead of new. I have to say that the sales force didn't seem all that interested or motivated at selling me a vehicle, even when I had my list of wants fairly firm. I would think the Galos Family wouldn't have been that pleased with the lack of enthusiasm. The third encounter was the last straw and the most disturbing. I had won a certificate for a free oil change and lube to Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac. My cash-strapped, college-age, Son needed an oil change on his 2004 Cadillac CTS, I gave the certificate to him. I keep our family vehicles very well maintained (I know a lot about cars and worked on cars years ago) and instructed him to have an inspection completed at the same time since it would save him the hassle of going to another appt with our usual mechanic. Well, as you probably have guessed, the certificate wasn't "free," in that they had said the car wouldn't pass inspection unless my Son spent $2,000 on repairs. So when my Son called to inform me of the news, I wasn't happy, to say the least. I then called our usual mechanic who looked at the car and disagreed with Galos' assessment. One of the two things supposedly in need of repair was the rear brake lines, which Galos quoted as $1,000 to repair. Bottom line, even if the lines had to be replaced, it doesn't cost $1,000. What are they using for material, platinum or gold? I went in to talk to the Service Manager and got stonewalled over refunding the $12.50 for the "failed" state inspection. She gave me the party line instead of the customer-is-right position. Needless to say, I will never go to Frank Galos Chevrolet Cadillac again if that's the way they choose to run their business on all three counts. read more

NOT ONLY was the car in desperate need of repair within the warranty period the company has REFUSED to honor their warranty. Of course Frank Galos Chevrolet & Cadillac have gotten paid. LIARS! Do not do business with them. Salesman and business manager lied to my face. Have bought vehicles there for years and personally know the people involved. First of all, I did them a favor by purchasing the vehicle from them. They had such low inventory that they had to get a transfer from a nearby dealership. I could have just gone to other local dealerships who had the inventory that I wanted, but since I've purchased several vehicles at Galos over the years, and I personally know the people involved, I did them the favor to give them the business. However, since they weren't making enough money off of the purchase itself, they had to lie about a certain rebate and the financing details. Without going into a lot of detail, all I can say is that when I checked with my own personal financing institute, what I found out is that what Galos told me was riddled with flat out lies! I've had some bad experiences over the years with them for service issues (didn't buy my chevy from them) not returning calls, not ordering parts they said they would. Recently went back there because of having no other choice (steering went on truck), also asked them to go over it for inspection and that the engine light had come one the night before. They told me it needed $3,000 worth of work to pass inspection. I had them do 1/2 of the work and 3 days later engine light is back on (work i had left to do had nothing to do with engine) and i stopped at the dealership i bought it from (Prime who are fantastic) only to learn there is so much wrong in the engine i need another $2,000 worth of work on top of the $1,800 still remaining from what Frank Galos told me it needed. If they had done a thorough job of checking it like i asked literally 3 days before i would have never bothered to put $1,200 into a car that now can't be driven and isn't worth putting more into at it's age and mileage. I'm out $1,200 for nothing because they didn't look at the engine. I'm am a Chevy driver through and through always have owned and will look for a chevy for my replacement vehicle but it sure as hell won't be one i buy from them. I'd sooner drive a ford read more
