Bringing truck Friday for repairs for sticker. I went Wednesday for a sticker and it failed. They were reasonable with pricing on estimates to have my brake hoses and wheel cylinders done. He showed me exactly what was needed and also showed me an oil leak that I should look into in near future before it gets worse. I know a lot about cars and they seemed to be honest and not pushy at all. Thoroughly explained what was going on and gave me some peace of mind knowing that I would be taking care of and for a fair price. I will update this Friday after I get truck back. I have used Hero Motors since moving into the area over two years ago for major vehicle repairs and inspections. Having worked in a repair shop previously, I know my way around vehicle repairs and am particular about who services my vehicles. I have had very good results at fair prices. John is no longer the manager and I worry about the continued good service, but so far so good. I knocked off a star because the last time they serviced my truck it came back covered in grease, inside and out. Fortunately, I was able to remove it all with a little scrubbing. When we stopped at a rest area on route 95 and a fellow pointed out that my truck was leaking gas, I was more than a little concerned ( as well as disappointed having left Pennsylvania at 4 am, hoping to make Bar Harbor before dark). Fortunately, I was directed to Hero Motors by a local. We arrived at the garage, related our predicament to a fellow in the service area, and he immediately lent a hand, fixing the problem in short order. Was in Kennebunkport for the weekend and was using my car to get around town perfectly fine. As I was about to leave, my car wasn't changing gears. Got AAA to tow my car to Hero's because it seemed credible by other reviews. The repair should have taken multiple days to get the specific part and fit into Hero's busy schedule, but they were all very understanding that I was not from the area and was eager to get home. I dropped my car off as they were closing up for the night, and my car was ready later the next day! Paul was able to find a part locally and install it right away - I was very grateful! It is frustrating when you are trying to do the right things but you find yourself dealing with unscrupulous techs and managers at named-chain-auto-repair facilities. Luckily a friend recommended Hero Motors this past summer. I can write a book about these guys. They can fix problems and THEY ARE HONEST.
