Searched the car and put a fob that i'd hidden in there on the key chain. I know because that fob had it's own key chain that was still attached. read more

Well I never say never, everyone deserves more than one shot but this garage will go to the bottom of my emergency list. first, during the diagnostic phase they were looking at the front of my car when the problem was in the rear of the car if they would have just taken the car on a test drive they would have found the problem so much faster. Second, I'm sure it is just standard to run a computer analysis when a check engine light is on but I had already had that checked at the dealer and had not authorized them to do it. I was told it was an unnecessary fix by the dealer and in Maine it would be OK, this garage got the same code and said it would be a required fix at $1500. ummmm no! Third, I am not a mechanic but I often change parts. With that being said I often take my car to garages and let them figure out the problem and choose to do the job myself and pay a diagnostic fee. With that being said I don't think I have ever paid a diagnostic fee on a $1,000 repair especially when they spent all that time on the front and the problem was in the back. Seems pretty ridiculous to me. Maybe next time, if there is a next time will be better, still looking for an honest garage in the area. read more

asked them to fix a rusted brake line just to be safe and put a new serpentine belt on and told them power steering was tight to look at it i told them needed it done in 1 day cause i take care of my 81 year old dad with dementia they said no problem drop it off on Sunday and was wide open on Monday would be first 1 in i went to get truck Monday at 4pm nothing was fixed and charged me $350 for diag 4 hours to tell me i have a leak in power steering somewhere so nothing fixed and $350 to tell me something i already new if you go to them you are out of your mind! i read more

I went here yesterday to get an inspection sticker, tire rotation and got my snow tires taken off and regular tires back on. The staff was great and everything was done in a timely manner. I had a great stress free experience here and they are honest with what you need and even better they had very reasonable rates. I find the crew at Leighton's to be very helpful and professional. It is a family garage and they treat me as part of the family. I find Dana to be an honest mechanic that does not try to persuade me to get repairs done. If he sees anything that needs to be repaired he tell me if it is safety related and if not he gives me a timeframe, that allows me to budget the repair.
