This is a small gym with small classes where you'll find a genuinely nice community of people from…read morethe staff to the clients. As someone who is just trying to learn the basics I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Strength training is new and difficult for me. The trainer Matt, made sure his instructions scaled to my ability which I found incredibly helpful. Gyms around town have such different offerings/cultures so let me highlight some specifics: 1. It's a studio styled - open gym, with lots of strength equipment: strength machines, kettlebells, weight racks, sled, tires etc. 2. Cardio here primarily involves lifting heavy things rapidly. No treadmills, no zumba classes. 3. It's clean, also they can open the bay door at the rear of the gym for fresh air which is a nice feature. 4. Very welcoming to different abilities, ages etc.

I have been trying to get in shape for the last couple of years and trying almost anything I can…read moreget my hands on. Revolution Training Sys has been one of the few things that I have stuck with for more than a couple of sessions and I am really enjoying the classes, environment, and the instructions I have received. I've been doing the kettle bell work out and the instructors have gone out of their way to ensure that I am getting the most of my workouts. I won't lie to you by telling you that I have lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks, but I do feel stronger and I do have more energy. Great place to work out, great group of people, and great instructors.

I moved to Arizona 11 months ago, leaving my trainer behind in Oregon. I was worried about finding…read morethe right fit again but the universe was listening. Two weeks after moving I was having dinner with friends and given Nadine's name and number. That is when my relationship with The Fitness Joint began. 10 months later I'm thrilled to say it was the best choice I could have made. I have lost inches, gained confidence, lost body fat percentage, and gained strength. She makes training fun, brutal, but fun. She has a way of encouraging you but also listening to your needs. She talks you through the moves to decide if it's the best one for you. She is always changing things up so boredom isn't an issue. I can not recommend The Fitness Joint enough. And did I mention the new gym space?!? You'll love it! Great environment, great trainer, and great results!

Change can be incredibly difficult. When I moved here from Oregon 9 months ago, I was very unhappy…read morewhere I was at health wise. I had just graduated from college and was weighing at 165lbs. I was always feeling tired, bloated, and weak. For almost 2 months without a job I tried working out on my own. Going on walks with my dog, doing 24 minute HIIT's here and there in my own home, but I wasn't feeling any stronger and wasn't seeing the changes I wanted to see. One day my mom came home from seeing a personal trainer. She told me I would love her and should give it a shot. I had never worked with a personal trainer before. I have been on countless sport teams up until college. I had done workouts with friends. Did a program called BBG my sophomore year of college, but never thought of going to a personal trainer. The first day I went to see Nadine, changed my life for the better. Don't get me wrong, the first day was hell. I could easily see me working out on my own hadn't done much at all after one workout with Nadine. But, I knew I found someone who would push me. So, I kept showing up. I have been seeing Nadine constantly 2-3 times a week for 7 months. I know weight matters to some, so I will share that I have dropped down to 145lbs. I HUGE factor in that is nutrition. Which I am 90% vegan. HOWEVER. I have never felt SO strong. The weight doesn't matter to me. The physical appearance doesn't matter to me. What does matter to me is the feeling of being STRONG. 7 months of hard work. 7 months of her pushing me to places I didn't know I could be pushed, and showing me I'm hella of a lot stronger than I ever thought I was. Nadine wants the best for her clients. If you let her work with you, push you outside your comfort zone, and let her show you how strong you can be, I promise you will not regret seeing this amazing trainer.
